We are so happy with Prospect Hardwood Flooring! Our old parquet floors were water damaged, so we chose vinyl tile. Through every aspect of flooring replacement Prospect gave us constant status updates, and Chris and Juan were absolutely fantastic installers. Prospect Hardwood provided me with a poor product and rude and condescending customer service. In March 2021 we had some of our wood floors refinished. Jodi coordinated the project for us and she was a delight to work with. The maple stairs were stained and finished with an oil-based polyurethane. Within 7 months, however, the stairs and landing were already showing wear in certain spots that our feet often find. Mike, the owner, came out to look at the issue, at my request, but was rude and unhelpful. He couldn't identify what the problem was but insisted that a re-screening would fix it. Mike said that these floor just might need to be rescreened once or twice a year (at several hundred dollars a pop). I've never heard of such requirements; hardwood floor finishing should last for years. They rescreened these areas which fixed the problem briefly but in a couple months the wear spots returned, worse than ever. Then Mike said the problem was that these are places where people have often stepped over the years so the wood grain became compressed causing the stain to take unevenly. Maple is far too hard of a wood for this to be the case. I insisted that the work was poorly done and needed to be fixed but Mike responded that "it is impossible to tell the outcome of every floor" and refused to address the problem. Our conversation ended with him saying, "At this point I propose you attempt the work yourself. The internet may provide you with the method that will work best with your skill set." If you are looking for hardwood floor refinishing I recommend you look elsewhere.

We had a tree fall on our roof during a major storm. The resulting water damage was extensive and affected flooring on all 3 levels of our house. We selected Prospect Hardwood because they provided prompt estimates, educated us about our options, had great reviews on Angi and were able to schedule us promptly. Their estimate was also amongst the lowest among all of the contractors we asked. The job consisted of ripping out the basement carpet and replacing with LVP, replacing 4 carpeted bedrooms with hardwood, ripping out water damaged kitchen hardwood floor and replacing the same. Also, they sanded and stained all of the hardwood to match existing flooring color. We were amazed by the efficiency with which the crew worked. This was particularly important to us since we had other damage we needed to get fixed and scheduling would be a challenge otherwise. They dismantled the furniture as needed, stored everything carefully and put everything back together when done. They worked faster than they originally estimated and because of their scheduling flexibility, we were able to schedule their work along with all the other stuff we had to get done. All of the work took a little over 2 weeks. Throughout the process, Mike and Jodi kept in touch with me on a daily basis and provided updates. They provided detailed safety and care instructions. Our floors look fabulous now. Thank you Mike and the Prospect Hardwood Flooring team.

We had beautiful results. Though the floor wasn’t in bad shape to begin with, the past year of having everyone home caused it to show signs of wear. Spoke to Jodi on Saturday, and she provided a rapid turnaround of Wednesday for the service. My favorite part was that Prospect sands the floors down and then they apply the samples of stain for the customer’s viewing and final decision making. This way, we had a better idea of how the stain would look in the end. The crew was very polite and humble and a pleasure to work with. After the service, I received follow up calls to ensure that we knew how to care for the floor afterwards.

This was a project to refinish over 2,300 sq/ft. of maple with cherry inlay hardwood flooring and two flights of stairs. The job start to finish was very professional, and over the seven (7) days to complete I was invited to inspect each step for quality, and was called from the office each day to ensure that I was happy with the progress. Suffice to say that the floors turned our beautiful. The floor was switched from an oil based urethane to a Bona Traffic HD water based finish.... a significant upgrade in appearance. The project scored well due to overall appearance and value for the money spent.

I highly recommend this hardwood flooring company! From start to finish, they were top notch and very professional. The floors look absolutely stunning. Jodi in the office answers your calls and is very communicative of what to expect and when. Mike comes out and measures and gives the estimates. He knows his stuff and his friendly and professional. The prices were very reasonable. The team of installers were so impressive. They showed up on time, were polite, very hard working, and paid attention to every detail. I can't rave enough about them and wish more contractors operated so smoothly. They even helped me get a special order delivered early because the wood I picked out was back-ordered. We had new floors installed throughout most of our 1st level -- foyer, kitchen, sunroom, living room, dining room. We plan to have them come back to do the steps when we save up a little more.

Customer service was great. Pricing was competitive. The job was well done and completed on time.

The team that arrived was very professional and worked really hard to meet my short deadline. They were fantastic in making sure I had it installed the way I wanted it to be installed. They did a super clean up, like they were not even here! Absolutely loved dealing with them and Jodi at the office. Very pleasant experience!

Prospect Hardwood Flooring did an awesome job from the estimate/consultation to the completion of the installation. During my consultation/estimate the rep was very helpful and patient with helping me decide what I wanted and the guys that came out to do the installation were on time and completed it exactly when they said they would. Overall, I was completely satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend their services.

We had an excellent experience with Prospect from start to finish. Our sales person understood our needs and put together a perfect plan for installation. Workers showed up on time each day and were very conscientious, carefully moving furniture and even placing felt pads on the bottoms of the furniture to ensure the new floors would not be scratched. I highly recommend Prospect for your wood flooring needs.
