Exceptional response and work in all regards! Had a gas leak in vacant rental house during recent very cold spell. Called Brad, the service manager; he got technician out that day. Had had a gas leak diagnosed by Wash Gas...they then turned the gas to the furnace off, so I had no heat. The existing furnace was out of warranty, and the part was expensive and not available locally. Got good quote to replace furnace; they did it the next day. Neat, clean, and efficient. Follow up with minor issue to Brad...he got it fixed within a day. These guys are on my A team!

I bought the deal based on my past experience. That service call was done at my rental property. I was pretty happy with the company. They called me and gave me an idea for the price. They allowed me to pay for it over the phone, and they asked for my permission to come while I wasn't at home. They're also very close to where I live, and they even came early.

Was originally scheduled for the 12th but the tech was running late and the snow storm was coming. They called me and asked if it was ok to reschedule for the 14th. We rescheduled and the technician showed up on time. Very courteous and professional.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The experience was great. The guys were pretty humble and they did a good job. They've been out a couple of times. They were nice and professional. They didn't charge me more than they should have, which was the best part. I would absolutely use them again.

I called Prefferred because one of my furnace units was not working well and stopped heating. I called on Wednesday evening and got an after hours answering service around 6pm. They were very courteous and I later got a call to set up an appointment for the next day. I appreciated the prompt service response as it was extremely cold outside. The house was not particularly cold because the other unit was working nevertheless parts of the house were cool/cold. I was a work so my wife dealt directly with the repairman. He showed up on time and was professional and courteous. He explained what the problem was and other potential problems with the system. All indications are that all of the information provided to my wife was accurate. My wife told me that the cost was $245 with the Angie's list discount. She paid it. My only issue with Prefferred was the price so we will not be using them again. My wife said the serviceman was at the house for less than one hour and spent no more than 30 minutes working on the igniter. I looked at the invoice and noticed that that the bill did not segregate labor and parts. The bill noted $0 cost for diagnostic and $245 for total repair cost. In my opinion, this translates to mean that the quick inspection of the system did not cost anything. The cost of the ignitor online runs between $17-$30 dollars. The question is what was the labor charge? By my calculations, Prefferred charged labor of over $400 per hour as they only worked on the igniter for 30 minutes or less. (As noted, the total time at the house was less than 1 hour) I rated them a "C" only because we weight this factor more heavily than the others.

They came over on a weekend same day as I called. They fixed the problem quickly and under budget.

They had to figure how to stream a complicated intake and outtake pipe. They did a fantastic job. They did great troubleshooting to figure out what the original problem was and they were very knowledgeable.

They did a great job. Took care not to damage anything or make a mess. Removed the old heat pump and air handler, then installed the new units. They were given the wrong heater unit at the warehouse and had to go back for the right one. That stretched the job out by a couple hours but the guys stayed till it was done and did a great job. Has been working flawlessly for 3 months now.

The contractor exceeded the tine and square footage I have originally paid for. I was extremely pleased with the job that was done.

From the initial contact through completion of the job, service was the best I have ever experienced. They scheduled my service for a Saturday, which they normally do not schedule. In order to meet my availability they agreed. The service technician, Richard, arrived promptly on time and put on booties to cover his shoes. He initiated to work and did an exceptional job with the work and his explanations of the work. Before arrival they knew of an issue I had with my whole house humidifier condensation pump, and had a replacement pump available for me to agree to the replacement. Richard did a great job on my project ensuring that the pump worked and would not cause the issues the failed pump had caused. I was completely satisfied with the work and price when he left. Later in the week, Richard called me on the day he knew I was working from home and stated that he was not happy with his installation and asked if he could come back and complete the job to his satisfaction. I was actually shocked that he wanted to come back and change what he had installed. I agreed and he came within 30 minutes to adjust the installation. This is absolutely exceptional customer service to think about the job after initial completion and want to come back and make a change. The initial installation was perfectly acceptable, but he wanted to make sure he was satisfied with his work. This to me is refreshing and wonderful as most service business would have just let the initial acceptable installation was complete. I highly recommend Preferred Heating and Cooling for all your HVAC service needs!. I have already recommended them to my neighbors. Which one has already scheduled a service appointment. If I could rate them higher than an A I would. 10 Stars out of 5!

Fantastic. They've repaired our AC and furnace. Their service technician is prompt, knowledgeable and nice.

Overall, I was satisfied with the service. The technicians were timely and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. However, they originally made repairs that were unnecessary because my air conditioner broke down once again. They were very professional when I brought this to their attention, and they refunded the fee that I had paid for the Big Deal.

Everything was excellent. They were very prompt and professional. They gave us an estimate before doing the work.

The thermostat has sencors that need to be set up along with a control box- Silvio came out and installed the thermostat with ease. He was also very proffesional and curtious. I did have a problem with the thermostat that same night/it turned off and would not turn back on. I called them the next morning and they came right out with no fuss and fixed the problem with no charge. I would use them again and overall had a excellent experience!! Thanks again!!

Fantastic service and the technician, Rick, had the utmost integrity with his visit. The furnace certainly needed the cleaning but Rick point out the real issue and showed us how to resolve the issue with the thermostat. I would highly recommend Preferred Heating and Cooling.

Provider was on time, communicated by phone before arriving, and was prepared to conduct the service. Provider evaluated the condition of our air conditioner via internal and external checks. Original determination showed a fault, but provider conducted further tests on all equipment and isolated the most likely problem as environmental. Provider cleaned unit, inside and out, ran subsequent tests, and completed service within a few hours. Technician was polite, friendly, considerate of the house, and focused on the work. Superb customer relations. Recommend highly.

Brad was totally professional and courteous during his visit. He took the time to educate me about the system and explain what he was during to ensure reliability during the upcoming winter season. Very thorough and professional!

They charged me $200, called me later, and told me that they had over charged me and they were going to send me a check and they never did. I was very impressed with the service and I was really happy with them. If the manager could return what they over charged that would be great. I would use them again.

It didn't go as well. We just weren't very impressed with the pricing that they came back with and the way the problem was explained and everything. We weren't very impressed with the service we got. Basically, they said that it was going to take 2 weeks for them to be able to get the part in and that the part was no longer being made. We reached out to a different company and they said it was definitely not the case. The other company that we ended up doing business with was able to get the part and do the work the very next day.

The technician was just as friendly and helpful as could be. He shared everything that was done in such a way that I could understand. He waited for me when I was late and best of all, he cleaned up after himself. You would never know he had been there. The location where the work was done was at our rental property. We will schedule them soon to come out to our home to for the tune-up and maintenance.

On Thursday morning, I woke up and realized the heater wasn't working. It was 60 degrees inside, even though the thermostat was set at 70 degrees. I checked for deals on Angie's list and found two buy now deals for Preferred Heating and Cooling. I wasn't sure whether to purchase the diagnostic deal, or the tune-up deal, so I called them. Brad was very helpful, and also seemed concerned for me since I was without heat. He was able to work around my schedule, and still get someone to come over that same day, after normal business hours. I ended up getting the maintenance deal since they would also diagnose during the tune-up - more bang for the buck. Richard called me when he was on his way. Even though he was on schedule, I still thought it was good that he called, just so I knew he was coming. He arrived on time, was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He took time to answer all my questions and show me the issues he'd found. It was very informative, and I had heat that same night. I was so grateful to not have to wait another day to get heat since the forecast said we'd have the first freeze that night.

I thought the service was very good. Tech seemed to check the entire system . I had extra filters for heating and humidifier. He changed those for me .i will buy a yearly service when a/c checkup is due. Better to have a yearly contract in case something happens you get first priority .

Outstanding. Mellissa, in their office, is absolutely the best customer service person I've ever dealt with. One nice touch is you get an email with the technician's name, photo and a short bio; that might really appeal to someone who lives alone. David, the technician, came out the very same day. He discovered that the previous attempt to seal the leak had failed, so I got a credit for the leak sealant that had been applied. He added refrigerant, and said I'd probably be OK for the rest of the cooling season but that the unit definitely needs replacing (it is 17 years old by the way). In the end, with the credit for the failed sealant, I didn't have to pay anything other than the Angie's List deal that I purchased for the call out. I definitely won't be using any other company for this type of work.
