Very professional and prompt service.

The AC system was doing double the work. The coil resistor was failing, as told which is a very common problem when the ac unit starts nearing its expiration of its service. Luckily the technician had the part on hand to fix it for 200 bucks, a small price to pay instead of paying 1000 plus bucks for an entire new unit and thats without the labor fees. The technician also told me that it would best to replace my unit within the next two years and recommended a few brands. Great service all around, I would use them again.

They were just here last week; they're supposed to be coming back. This is through my home owner insurance company. I had a problem with my air conditioner. It was through my home owners insurance company. I had to pay a $100 deductible. They just diagnosed the problem and added freon and they did the coils replaced or something. The price was at a good rate.

They're very prompt. It was cold and they came out very quickly.

It turned out fine. I've been using them for a couple of years. They've done good work for the last 2-3 years. I plan to use them again. Usually two people come. It took 45 minutes to complete the work. They were willing to work with me in the past. They've only did one repair, they did it well and I'll continue to use them.

Quickly and smoothly. The technician (Silvio) was able to fit me in same-day in between his other appointments because I was concerned that my motor had started to make a weird noise, and didn't want to be without heat in the dead of winter. He and another technician arrived on time and performed the requested maintenance to resolve the issue. The service plan also includes priority service/discounts if I end up needing something else replaced, which has value to me since my furnace is going on 15 years old.

Went just fine, but price for refrigerant was extremely high.

OH MY Goodness!! RICHARD IS A ROCK STAR!!! He totally fixed Pope's A/C and Heat attempt to fix my problem. First- Preferred managed to squeeze me in today!! A total bonus! Second, Richard allowed me to shoulder surf the entire time and explained everything to me- showing me all the loose wires that Popes' caused as well as the MISWIRING that Popes' caused. He took the time to carefully troubleshoot each and every step (unbelievable the amount of things they need to check), and the last check, he fixed the problem!! Popes' wanted me to get a new blower motor after installing a new thermostat (that didn't fix the issue). Yes, the motor was barely 6 months old, but Popes wanted to replace it. Richard noticed several of the caps fell off at the touch, other wire tips broke right off with a gentle twist and finally the kicker- a green wire was "mysteriously" wired into a connection that was causing the blower unit to not blow!! I am getting my prepaid Angies service contract back from Popes' and moving it to PREFERRED!!!

It was terrible. I'm supposed to get refunded, but then they kind of dropped the ball. I had the same complaint before, nothing has changed. One of the managers called me back and he admitted that it shouldn't happen and apologized and said the owner was going to call me back and that they were going to make it right. I called three or four more times and I haven't gotten a call back. I could have done a thousand times better job myself. The price was good, that's why we tried them. He was actually pretty punctual. He was a little late, he didn't call beforehand. I assume this is standard in the service industry, but they disparaged the other companies a lot. He wasn't rude or anything that's why I was a little surprised by so many things. I run another kind of service company and I tell all my guys, "Never lie. If you don't know the answers, tell them I don't know, I'll find out because somebody else may already know the answer or they are going to go look it up. I have an HVAC that has the cells for air cleaning. It's a very expensive cleaner. That's why I wanted him out there, to service the unit and clean the cells, they're really hard to clean.

Fantastic. I called on a hot (100s in VA) Sunday afternoon with nonfunctioning AC and was given a 8am timeslot the very next morning. The electrician Richard was punctual, courteous, knowledgable, and friendly. He was able to explain to me what the issue was and gave several suggestions to improve the unit's performance and upkeep. Richard was very thorough with in attempting to determine the root cause of the issue and I am hopeful that we will be able to stay cool the rest of the summer!

Technician arrived right on time as scheduled. Very professional as he introduced himself & reviewed what work he was planning. He inspected the units, provided a few tips on maintenance & provided instant feedback on the tune-up and included it all in the write-up that he provided.

In the past, Preferred has always treated us right. When we needed to purchase a new AC unit for the main floor, we were not pressured to get the more expensive unit and what's more, when the installer royally screwed up the install, the sales broker left the party he was attending to clean up the leak and fix the areas where it was broken all in order so that I did NOT have to inhale fumes any longer than necessary. The installer was fired as well. We have been using Preferred for at least 3-4 years and I won't go to anyone else. Richard, who is our usual service guy, did every diagnostic available in order to make sure that there was nothing wrong with our 2nd floor unit. We know it will need to be replaced, but again, we are not pressured to do it before it is time. That is what I truly appreciate about Preferred. They lay out the options with the pros and cons and then listen to the homeowner. You can't do better than that.

Exceptional service by Preferred! I cannot recommend this company enough! Some of the highlights: + Jack does an incredible job of patiently explaining what the problems are and providing multiple solutions to address the problems. He is very honest and thorough and I came away thinking I was his only customer. + Sylvio, Richard and Oscar are some hard-working professionals. They are meticulous, pay attention to detail, and strive for excellence. When they find a short-coming, they address it readily and to standard. They are timely, work with a purpose, and clean up neatly afterward. All-the-while, they remain respectful of our family's agenda for the day. Can't say enough good things about our crew. I will definitely stick with Preferred for as long as I own my house. I have full confidence in their honesty and quality of work.

The serviceman was very nice, very professional and very efficient. Although I thought that 60 dollars for a fuse was excessive, I was still pleased. The man gave me cold air on a very hot day and the overall price of 150 seemed quite reasonable for the amount of pleasure and relief I felt from having a functional ac unit again.

Excellent contractor! Arrived on time and was courteous and professional. He determined what was causing my furnace to shut off before reaching the desired temperature and quickly made the repair. He checked the rest of the system and advised everything else was working well. I would definitely use this contractor again.

Our furnace had been recently conking out during the wee hours of the morning (when we needed the heat most). This past Tuesday Silvio came out to perform a diagnostic test. I could not have asked for a better experience; Silvio was professional and so thorough with his testing. He explained what he was doing throughout the testing and laid out the best/most feasible options for our furnace (it is going on 16 years). We decided to have the motor replaced and Silvio came back the next day to install a new one. I really appreciated his attention to detail and ensuring that everything was just right. Right now the heat in our house is working like a champ! Many thanks to Silvio and Preferred Heating for outstanding, A+++ service!

We learned that our main floor AC unit was in need of replacement, but our 2nd floor unit was in good shape. While there were issues with the installer of the replacement unit, Preferred, came out and made everything right on a Friday night, long after business hours. We probably be customers for life after that experience.

Repair man was ontime and professional. He diagnosed the problem as a blown capacitor in about 15 minutes. He completed the system checkout, provided advice on maintenance I might need to maintain the system in the future, replaced the capacitor and left. I can highly recommend this company. Thier employee informed but left the decision to me. I will definately use them again.

I didn't like them. They were late. They messed up my schedule. They showed up in a U-Haul truck, not a company truck and they didn't stay very long. I don't know if they did the job right or not. I'll find out later. There was no additional cost. The big deal covered it.
