Everything went great. The crew was excellent. They were timely, trustworthy, and professional. Overall I was satisfied with the experience and I would use them again.

Everything went great. We were very pleased with the work. From the planning to the execution they were just fantastic. I really don't think It could have went any better than it did. I would recommend this company to anyone and would use again.

Jeff was here early and stayed late and very good carpenter. Painters worked 10 hours on Saturday to finish job. Everyone great.

On time, dependable, creative, consistent. They invested time in the planning stages so that the installation would go as smoothly as possible. Even when a problem occurred (pipe burst through no fault of NVS), they cleaned up and repaired the problem. Use of excellent materials and finishes and no hidden costs.

NVS was just a waste of my time. We were looking for estimates on re-modeling our master bathroom and possibly 2 other bathrooms at the same time. We visited the Falls Church showroom, which was a bit of a disappointment because there is very little there to see. We looked through their book of completed projects and liked the looks of their work. We had someone come out to look at our bathrooms and spent close to 2 hours discussing the projects and for her to take measurements. We asked for an estimate for just the master and also for all 3 bathrooms because cost would be the determining factor if we did 1 or 3 at this time. I contacted her a few days after she came to our house and asked if we could meet that weekend to review the estimates, which would have given her a little over a week to put it all together. She said that was not enough time and she'd have something the following week. I told her we had all our other estimates and this was the last one we were waiting on to make a decision. Well, it's been over 3 months now and I have not heard anything from them. Clearly, I did not choose this company. For reference, the company we choose came to our house on a Wednesday night and had everything ready for us to review 3 days later so I don't think I was being unreasonable when I asked for the estimate to be ready in 8 days.

They were very good and very helpful. They have fabulous ideas and we have put them on hold. My husband has throat cancer, so we can't have construction going on. I will use them. They were very nice. They didn't push to set a date to get things done. They came up with some very creative ideas that it never even occurred to me. They are like at the top of the list of the people I want to work with.

Signed the contract in May 2010. The kitchen designer, Dawn was great. I needed to design the kitchen around a hutch that my father had made. Dawn first provided a modest change in my original footprint but after a friend suggested we turn the kitchen 90 degrees, Dawn designed a great new layout. Although I signed the contract in late May we didn't break ground until late October becasue we needed to wait for Dominion Power to move my power line. Once started, building proceeded at a fair rate. Once we got to the roofing the new section, decided to reroof the entire house so I wouldn't have to do that again before I move in 12 years. That was the first change to the original contract. The final large check was written in early January with the majority of the work finished but there were a few items that still needed to be fixed/completed. The wrong style of double hung window was installed in November and the proper style window was not switched out until March, 2011. My french doors were installed in November but the hardware for the door handle of the right side door was not installed until March, 2011. I am still waiting to write my final check but I should be receiving credit for the cabinet hardware and sink faucet that I bought but the contract was budgeted for those items if I bought them from NVS or a business associated with NVS. I am also waiting for NVS to caulk my window, french doors and sliding glass doors. I am waiting for them to get back to me with the amount of my final check and when my caulking will be completed. They do good work but trying to get them to completely finish the work is disheartening. The work performed sailed through Fairfax County inspections the first time, every time for the various stages requiring inspection. Wrote the final check mid-April. Still would not use them again. They let the ball drop on too many items once they moved on to other customers. Poor on the final finshing details.

Not much to say. NVS looked at what I wanted to do, and 3 days later sent an email to me stating they didn't want the job.

Scott was very helpful during the initial process of discussing the project and preparing a proposal. He had some good suggestions that we had not considered. Andrew was patient as I changed my mind a couple of times regarding cabinets and flooring, but we worked with me at their Manassas showroom to help me find the right combinations. I was given a calendar of the work, indicating the initial plan of what would happen when. The carpenter, Chad, was an important factor in my satisfaction. He was on time, professional, neat, considerate, responsive, and tried very hard to make things work to my satisfaction. He almost became part of the family during the process! He was the link to all the other trades needed to do specialty work, such as plumbing and electrical and he coordinated things very well. During the entire project there was only on minor glitch at the end when shelving expected to be provided with the pantry insert was not shipped with the module. Chad provided temporary shelving to make it serviceable, but it took far too long to get the final shelving. However, my only real complaint with that situation was that I had to initiate all communication with the project leader to get status updates regarding when the shelving was expected, when I would have appreciated a quick email every few days to update me. However, I was very happy with this company, have recommended them to several other people, and would use them again without hesitation.

I found NVS to be very responsive to our needs. They were very detailed about pricing and open to our purchasing items on our own that NVS then installed. The project manager who completed the bulk of the work is excellent! Richard is very detailed oriented and a perfectionist. His standards are very high and he sticks with the job until it's finished. The design process was OK, maybe not quite as detailed as I would have liked. I was never quite sure if all my storage requirements were going to be met. Ultimately, the kitchen did meet all but one of my needs. And, although elevation and 3-D drawings were provided, they were not as detailed with dimensions as I would have liked. After the job started there were some questions that could not be answered when subs were in the house simply for lack of dimensions on drawings and a call was needed to NVS. Also, a few trim items were not purchased as they should have been when the cabinets were purchased. Therefore, although the bulk of the job was completed within the 4 week time frame originally planned, we are still waiting for these final details to be completed 8 weeks after the start of construction and 4 weeks after the project was to be completed. These items don't impact our using the kitchen and bath, just would like to be finished! However, that being said, our experience with NVS has been very good and we would definitely recommend them to others and use them again. NVS stands by their contract and their work and sticks with the job until it is finished. They are very professional and always available to respond to issues that arise before, during and after the project which is worth a lot these days!

They were expensive, perhaps overpriced, considering the materials they used but these were upstairs bathrooms and we did want the quality of the job. We were paying for the workmanship. You do pick from their price range or if you wanted different, you had to pay more. We are happy with the end result. They finished about 90% of the job in 3 weeks. They did have to come back to make some adjustments. We were cooperative with what they needed as far as time to get the job done.

They did a good job. They was some confusion with the contract between what we were wanting and the cost. They were focused on doing bigger projects and not the smaller projects at the time. All of the people that did the work were very professional. They finished on time.

Their production team was very good. We had a schedule and they stuck to the schedule. The carpenter was very honest and the production manager was very communicative. I would definitely recommend them.

The service was great. They were good high quality workers. The only issue we had through the entire process was when we upset the manager with the cabinet doors. I would recommend them to others.

I don't have enough superlatives to describe our experience with NVS from start to finish. It began with a visit to our home by Scott, who essentially helped us dream a bigger dream than we ever could have on our own. His suggestions/ideas allowed us to see beyond the space that we had lived in for over 25 years and to conceptualize the new possibilities. Visiting their gorgeous showroom (in Manassas; they have since added a second one in Falls Church) for the first time was like being a kid in a candy store. Scott walked us through the paperwork, listened to our concerns, and answered all of our questions. Once the contract was done, we were placed into the capable hands of Dawn, who patiently shephered us through the daunting process of choosing cabinetry from the largest selection we could have imagined. We quickly learned that there would be many, many decisions to be made, with choices from the largest (see comment on cabinetry!) down to the smallest (knobs/drawer pulls). Dawn was completely lovely to work with -- knowledgeable, patient, and wonderfully down to earth -- and always greeted us with the biggest smile. (Thanks for all of the freshly baked cookies, Dawn!) The magnificent Allison was the CAD whiz who brought our ideas into view with wonderful drawings of amazing detail. We could literally *see* the rooms on paper from many different views long before construction began. A final step before beginning the project was a "team" visit to our home involving NVS personnel from all levels of the company. It was a chance to meet the wonderfully talented "Tony" who would run the project on site as well as performing the bulk of the carpentry. Tony was amazing to work with; he was very professional, punctual, kept us completely informed at all times, made sure that the various contractors were lined up, and oversaw everything. We don't have enough "thank you's" to give to Tony that would convey our immense appreciation for all that he did. Our job has been completed and we now consider Tony as a friend. Living through large construction projects can be trying, but we were always kept informed of the who/what/when/where of the job. Attention to detail was great. Plastic sheeting was installed to keep down the infiltration of dust to other parts of the house. Safety was clearly a priority and the job site was always left as neat as a pin at the end of the work day. Without question, we would give the highest possible rating to NVS and look forward to working with them again in the future!

the experience with NVS was painless. This included our meetings with Scott Ewing and Alison Martin to complete the design and chose material to the completion of the project with Wayne expertly oversaw. We would use NVS again.

NVSKand B came to our home and noted the items that we wanted to remodel and the representative was very positive about accomplishing everything on our list. We visited their extensive showroom in Manassas where we discussed various selections of cabinet and counter top, colors, hardware, etc with a designer. We then met with a salesman and were given a price for the job. We ended up negotiating with company over the price, but once we were in agreement the cost remained constant - except in the few instances where we changed our minds and upgraded. In those cases we were given the revised costs and agreed to them. NVS delivered on time and budget with what was a fairly major project. They ended up working on both bathrooms at the same time which was an inconvenience that we agree to. In work of this kind there is always some mess involved, but they were careful to cover furniture and carpets to minimize the effects of dust. In general the workmen were clean and organized. The NVS staff was very response to our questions and requests. They came through the house several weeks after the project was finished to inspect the work and listen to our comments. This company has a good reputation because they are friendly, responsive, professional and they do excellent work. We have already recommended them to family and friends. My wife and I both love our new bathrooms.

We purchased some kitchen cabinets from them and I don't remember the price that they charged.

I called 6 companies about my townhouse kitchen remodel. Some companies refused to speak with us as it was "only" a townhouse or my budget was to low! Scott Ewing (sales rep) came and gave a great presentation about the company, took measurements and discussed potential designs. Allison did a fabulous job designing our kitchen. The quote was a bit higher then other companies, but the design was the best and they had very good references. At the kickoff meeting, 6 staff from NVS came to the house to go over the plan including Scott, Allison and the president of the company. This allowed minor issues to be discussed and the design modified (which it did due to a wierd beam hiding behind one of my walls). Originally they said it would take 5 to 6 weeks. Entire job was done in 4 weeks! Jason (lead carpenter) was awesome! He showed up every morning at 6:30am sharp (although he didn't start work until 7am - he waiting in his truck.) Not one day was missed! His attention to detail was great and even helped us with the remodel of our powder room. A few weeks after the remodel was complete, our new dishwasher stopped working. GE was coming out to look at it but NVS also came out just in case it was an installation issue (it wasn't - it was a GE problem.) I would absolutely use them again.

This was the first time I had used their services. It went great. I have never dealt with a company that was so easy to deal with. It was a small job but the people that came to my home were phenomenal.

The designer was great, they actually came out to the house to measure for our custom made cabinets. We got good quality cabinets for the price we paid.

THE PAINTERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE. I HAD A LOT OF REMODELING DONE AND I WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE WORK DONE.
