F.H. Furr Plumbing Heating AC & Electrical

Had a complete HVAC system installed by F.H.FURR. The whole process from the consultant to the installers was top notch. The consultant was very knowledgeable and gave me several different options and points to consider in helping me to decide which systems would meet my needs without being overly pushy. The installers we very professional and took their time to answer ALL my questions about the new equipment. They were very patient and wanted to make sure we had a good understanding of the system. This company is on a whole different level compared to HVAC companies I have dealt with in the past. Very happy with my purchase and the overall experience.

We've had cooling issues in the house for a long time and I did my research on why. I figured that we needed more vents and a larger return. But, what do I know, I'm not a professional. I was referred to FH Furr through Home Depot's website. The gentleman came to the house and he was very professional. He believes that all we needed as a change in the filters (which he did), more coolant in the condenser (which he added), and a duct cleaning (which is a scam as there no credible research that supports a duct clearning). He also spent time pushing for fancy filters and dust collection and the like. It cost me nearly $1000. Didn't have time to complain about the cost, I had a kid being born the exact same day. It didn't work. Sure, the air was coming out stronger, but the thermostat would be set to 70F and would never go below 78F. In the morning, with the AC on all night, it would start at 75F but start to climb up through the day. The work he did was for nothing and the money I paid was for nothing. I called to have them return to do the job, but they said they could only warranty the work they had done and to reassess would be more money. I found that to be ridiculous. They were hired for the sole purpose of repairing the AC, ensuring that it worked. They did not do so. The gentleman returned to "warranty" the work and told me that I needed a duct cleaning and to change the filters, which he had already done a couple weeks prior. They never solved the problem in the least. I hired two other companies afterward to come in and assess the system. Both of the other companies said the same thing: more vents and a larger return, with, perhaps, another unit in the attic. The job was done and the house has been cool since. Our electricity bills have reduced because we don't have unit running all the time. The house is finally comfortable. If I had read the reviews on Yelp, I would never have hired them as that is $1000 that I can never get back for a job that was worthless. I do not understand how they have such high reviews here but such awful reviews on Yelp.

The plumber said that the garbage disposal was working fine but the drain needed to snaked in order for the drain to be cleared. He quoted me $500.00 for the project cost and I felt like that was outrageous, I then asked how much it would be for him to come out to take a look, he stated it would be free for that. I stated to him that I was not going to have him complete the project since the price was so high, I asked about a senior citizens discount and he said 10% was what he would be able to take off for that which made the price $497.00. I was afraid I would not be able to find anyone else to complete the project that I went ahead and agreed to have him do the project. I would not use them again for the reason of pricing.

They did an exceptional job! Everything looks great! I described myself to Bob Michaud (the plumbing supervisor) as probably the client from ****. I contacted him about little things a lot, but he handled it all professionally and met all my expectations and beyond. There was a small snafu when a few days after they finished the supply line to the toilet began to leak and it caused some damage... but FH Furr was on top of it! They got their restoration folks out there and took care of it. Stuff happens and sometimes things go wrong, but the true display of professionalism and character is when something does go wrong... how does the company handle it. FH Furr handled it the right way... and I appreciate their work and would hire them again!

Great. Technicians were efficient and quick

It was greatly appreciated that the 1st visit to diagnose the problem did not have the usual $69 fee that other plumbers charge to figure out what is wrong. First day (the assessment and evaluation) was Joseph who was fantastic! Smart, professional, thorough etc. The 2nd day was Wyatt who actually replaced the sump pump. Same exact service approach as Joseph: competent, polite, took pride in his work, taught us what we needed to know. This is a veteran owned company and it shows. Reflects the wonderful diligence, high standards, commitment to excellence as everyone knows characterizes the military. The owner I believe is retired career Marine Corp. Semper fi!

Great experience having my HVAC systems inspected. The company provided updates on the technician's estimated arrival via phone call and text messages. From the link provided, I was able to see exactly when the technician would arrive. The technician, Erving, exercised proper COVID precautions and explained everything in layman's terms so I was able to understand. There were no pushy upcharge attempts,which I really appreciated.

Took two visits to get everything resolved, but it was addressed quickly. No charge for the second visit.

I received an estimate for the installation of a toilet and kitchen faucet. The estimate was high and after speaking to the manager we agreed on a lower price. I went over in detail what I expected for that estimate. When the technician arrived he informed me that not everything agreed upon was included in the estimate. He wanted an additional $400 for the entire job. I said no way. Just install the faucet and forget about the toilet. I called twice and left messages for managers Kenneth and Chris. I called a third time and said nobody was calling me back. The representative on the phone said she would email her supervisor. After 3 attempts days ago I still haven't received a return phone call. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I will NEVER contact this company again. I ended up hiring a different company at a lower cost. Be sure to get more than one estimate.

FH Furr is always prompt. We filled out a service request online and received a call within minutes. They were able to send a technician out same day. The technician Mike was able to quickly diagnose and fix our leak. We’ve always been happy with FH Furr and would use their services again.

Work completed in about an hour and the quality appears good

Great! He had the parts on the truck and even when the repair was a little more extensive than he Originally hoped He was able to fix and finish in good time - it works like a dream now

The service was fine. I don't see any dirt, and they did a good job. I have a contract with them and I haven't had any problems with them.

Service was expensive, over $300, but was very professional and was scheduled within 2 days of my call. I had a question after the work was done, and the plumber returned to my home and explained everything at no cost. The work was done very cleanly and quickly. I would hire Furr again for any work I can't complete on my own.

Technician arrived on time with several text message alerts, did the work in 4 hours (good time), cleaned up, explained and showed what they did and all was done professionally. As a loyal customer they treated me right. Will stick with them - highly recommended.

One year ago, I purchased a $14,000 unit with an extended warranty for my home. They have had to come out 2 times already. One time it was to replace a fuse that was blown out during a storm. Because it was electrical, it was not covered by warranty. The technician also told me that the unit required a surge protector. I asked why it wasn't installed when I bought the unit. He explained that it was extra. But he could sell me one (also not included) They then told me for $12 a month, I could have quarterly maintenance and the current service call would be included. So I bought that. Today was my first quarterly maintenance call. Once the tech took the panel off the unit, he told me the grass that had been blown up against the unit needed to be cleaned off. That i should hose it off, but he would recommend having him clean it. I said, ok. He then proceeded to tell me it will cost $400 for him to clean it with their chemicals. I told him I thought he was here to do maintenance on the unit. He let me know that he was there to inspect the unit. That everything he did, would require payment. I said. well just hose it off. He let me know that they didn't hose things off. Save your time and money.

Old faucet stem was stuck. Plumber removed it easily, replaced all parts, and tested faucet. Very respectful and professional technician. Price competitive with N. VA area.

F H Furr technician was able to quickly diagnose the issue and replace the parts that were not working correctly in a timely manner. The technician was very knowledge and did a great job sticking to CDC recommendations regarding social distancing and wearing a face covering. I am very happy with the service provided and the professionalism of the technician.
