They were great. They were here the next day, had the thing on order, and they totally fixed it.

They were very professional. Even though it wasn't part of the issue, but there was a pipe that was clearly going to fail and they were very proactive as far as taking care of the system. They clean the mess up, they tell you what they're doing, and they're very good about recommending the right level of service. They also seemed very knowledgeable.

The service was excellent. The gentleman came in, he gave me the price,and he gave me an additional discount, and he stayed in touch with me. He calls every 6 months to find out if everything is fine. I will use them again for the winter check up. We had a lot of issues with the system in the house, and we have had people who have tried to cheat us, and they were like having an angel in the house. The initial gentleman who came to do the sales pitch was very good, and the guy who came to put it in was very good. They were exceptional. The price was good. I love it, it looks good and it works perfectly. I got a really high quality unit for the price that I paid. They came on time. He gave me several different options for the size of the house and what I can afford.

I contacted FH Furr to get a quote regarding HVAC replacement in my home. I was left on hold for over 10 minutes and transferred 3 times to the wrong people. When I was finally connected to the correct person who could help me (Mark), he was rude and unprofessional. I don't know where they found this guy, but they must have been scraping the bottom of the barrel to hire him. Not only is FH Furr the most expensive company around, but they provide lousy customer service and don't have a clue how to properly handle quotes. I urge you to keep searching for another HVAC company and to not use this one. They are absolutely horrible.

These folks were the most professional of the three companies that bid on the job. They did every they contracted to do. They had a crew of four installers. They arrived at 9 AM and completed the job about 6 PM. I made contact with the firm through their affiliation with Costco as a preferred vendor. The incentives offered by Lennox Industries to Costco customers plus the Costco incentives resulted in a bid that was several thousand dollars less than either of the other bidders.

We started with an annual cooling inspection not done properly 1 days later our A/C was not cooling anymore by the time we realized the unit was not working properly we had burned the motor of our heat pump. FH Furr came to out house multiple times, never the same tech, different story every time and bills for us. It seems to me that they are too busy to take care of their long time customers properly, you have to wait forever to get an appointment, you can't even get a time frame for your appointment.

I called them to service the condenser to my AC . They sent a person over who stomped all over my fragile plants outside. They tried to tell me I needed a new system but I was not ready for that. I gave my nephew a check to give them once they repaired it as I had to leave. They completely blew him off and ended up taking the broken part out and then put it back in. It remained unrepaired until I hired someone else to fix it. I would never use them again.

F. H. Furr called with a satisfactory resolution of a pricing discrepancy. As a result of this kindness and consideration we would call them again for our plumbing needs.

Following a routine annual a/c check, we asked about checking out the uv air cleaner which we had disabled previously. The system had ben discontinued, and the FH Furr representative presented several alternatives. We chose the air scrubber. Since the ducts had not been cleaned for 10 years or so, we agreed that it would make sense to do both at the same time. Furr has a fixed price for duct cleaning, which includes the dryer vent. The only prep we needed to do was to make sure that all the vents were accessible. The team arrived promptly, donned their shoe covers, and proceeded to identify the vents and intakes. This accomplished, my husband and I got out of their way, and hung out on our patio. The vent cleaning took about an hour and a half. They use a compression/vacuum system based in their truck. There was no evidence of mess or dust in the house when they were finished. The air scrubber installation involved inserting the device into the ductwork near the furnace, and took about 20 minutes.

We did this through Costco. Craig, the sales rep, was punctual, attentive, and extremely patient with our questions and concerns. We did go back and forth on price, as we had three separate quotes. The price did drop, and options were considered and negotiated. In the end we went with F H Furr because Costco was backing them up, because they were professional and dependable, and because the smaller firms who were giving us estimates kept moving the goal-posts in terms of price. Craig assured us that the price was set in stone and any issues that if the installers encountered would not result in additional charges. This was absolutely true, and the firm fixed price was a relief after weeks of dealing with home contractors who charged for every little thing after having agreed on a price. The installers (Rashid, Vic, and Johnny) were nothing but professional and courteous and (best of all) competent. When they discovered that the subfloor of our utility room was rotten from years of condensation from the old unit (we just bought the house), the team waited while we got a contractor to repair the floor and the resumed the installation to finish that day. This was above and beyond and it saved us money and trouble by getting everything wrapped up quickly. We are very glad that we picked F H Furr even though they are not the lowest cost contractor out there. They sent a three man team who stayed over 12 hours because we asked them to wait for four hours while we got the floor fixed. The price was exactly as quoted by Craig, and the house was in immaculate shape when they left. Oh...and they asked for the plat of our house in order to secure the required permits. This was an uncomfortable subject for one of the other contractors who gave us a quote. We are going to get a service contract with them, and we will post on the separately as soon as we have some data. So: Negotiate your price after getting other quotes, know what you want, check out the Costco deals, and accept that F H Furr is about 10% more expensive. They are worth it in our experience. Our house is cool and quiet thanks to their diligence and professionalism.

It went very well. It took a little longer to have inspected but once it got started, it was done quickly and very well.

Furr charged me $322 to hook up an existing water line to a new refrigerator, a job that took 10 minutes. I asked the plumber at the time to look again in his book or call his office to verify the price, but he refused. (I later got a partial refund from Furr.) Furr gave me an estimate of more than $2100 for a new water heater that Home Depot put in for $1036. Part of Furr's estimate was a 3and quot; diameter water heater exhaust pipe that the plumber said must be changed to 4and quot; to pass Fairfax County inspection. That was not true. He also said that the house water pressure is too high, and he recommended installing a pressure reduction valve in the water line. Also not true. I had the house water pressure tested. Eighty-five psi is the benchmark; above that, a pressure reduction valve is advised. Our house water pressure is in the high 60s. As for quality, some good some not. Furr installed a and quot;newand quot; utility room water faucet that was not new. The spigot was full of lime deposits. In addition, the faucet handles operate backwards. Furr would not replace the backwards faucet, just the limey spigot.

I found them at CostCo. I had to call several times to have that thermostat fixed, and when the guy came out, he didn't have a replacement thermostat. Then nobody would talk to me on the phone about it. I finally got a call from the service manager, after threatening to go back to CostCo, to complain about this subcontractor, he finally sent a man out the next day. He said he would spend his own money to send someone out the next day. What really bothers you, is that while you are on hold, they have these advertizements, and it says that if you are a prime member, which I am, and I signed up for it, then the truck is fully equipped, and it took me 5 days for them to come out. The installation was good, and they were professional, and wore little booties, but when something goes wrong, you can't talk to anybody to get it squared away. When I called them, they said that they couldn't get anyone to come out for a week, and their excuse was that there are other people who didn't have air conditioners. I thought the people who came out were real professional, but they drop the ball when you call in. The service people were great, they know what they are doing. I am signed up for a 10 year guarantee with them, so I am stuck with them.

My air condition had water leak on Sunday, we spend $200 for a contractor to repair it, but it leak again on next day. We are told we need to replace the whole unit. I went to Costco at Gaithersburg MD to see sales consultant today at lunch time. The price list is in high range(3 ton unit cost 10k+ before discount and 7K+ after all discounts). But it did not say anything about product SEER or HSPF. So there is not way to tell what I am going to get. The sales rep is very inpatient when I try to ask more questions. The only thing he said is he can schedule someone for estimate. I want to take some flyer to study myself, he stopped me too because this is his and quot;areaand quot;. Not sure why the company send such representative to damage company reputation. Not sure why Costco hire such company.

They charge $27 for two units for a month. I had to have a new unit and they came in and did it. I have this contract with them for 10 years. They come twice a year and maintain my unit at no cost to me until if something is wrong with it.

It went well. They have become our plumbers.

Both sets of in-laws in town plus 25 guests expected the next day is no time for a water heater leaking in the finished basement. Jimmy came quickly and was able to look it over and let us know that replacement was needed. We talked about options and agreed on a plan. He opened the valve to drain the water into the sump pump immediately next to it . . . and the valve came off in this hand. Rust and time had killed it. With water gushing out, Jimmy quickly used a pool noodle (creative and it worked) to divert the majority of the water into the sump while husband and I basically sand bagged the storage area. Once everything was cleaned up, Jimmy installed a pan to catch drips if we ever have a leak again, routed the drain for that pan into the sump, installed the new water heater and an expansion tank. He also showed us how to do maintenance in the future to make the water heater last longer. By the time the in-laws returned from site seeing, everything was cleaned up and fans were going to dry the remaining dampness. Jimmy ROCKS! If he is an example of the professionalism of all of the staff, then FH Furr is the way to go.

I have (or had) a service contract with FH Furr and called them to install a new kitchen sink, faucet, and disposal. After they rescheduled once because of a "plumbing emergency," I got a 7 am call saying to expect the tech between 8-9:30. He arrived at 10:30 and gave a quote I thought was high (considering I was supplying the sink, faucet and disposal), but I agreed just to get it done. The tech immediately had to go to Home Depot for a drill bit (one of 2 trips, more on that later). He did not inspire confidence. The disposal came with an attached plug and I had to explain to him how to install it (the old one was hard-wired). Why he didn't know that (and I did) was discouraging. He then proceeded to try to drill a hole in the stainless steel sink top for the dishwasher air gap. When he started having trouble doing that, he said it wasn't necessary, then changed him mind and went back to Home Depot for another drill bit. At 6 pm he said I'd have to hire a separate contractor to put in the hole and packed up to leave. I called the office and they dispatched a supervisor to finish the job. He said no hole was needed since a high loop of the drain hose would work. Again, why their tech didn't know this is baffling. He instead drilled an unnecessary starter hole in the sink. They put a cap on it and acted like that cured the mistake. They finally left at 8 pm. I declined to sign off on the original quote since all the quoted work was not done. After a full week of phone tag, and an unpleasant conversation with the manager, we reached a price. I resent his claiming that I was withholding payment when to that point no one not given me a final cost. He also made it clear he thought I was trying to take money away from them. No one seemed to understand why I was annoyed that they permanently marred a brand-new $500 sink for no reason. Oh, and I later discovered that the tech had thrown away the disposal manual and warranty information. Icing on the cake. Best of luck and all that, but I'm canceling my service contract.

I have been using them for about 6 years now. They are always available when I call and they guarantee service within the next day. Scheduling has never been a problem. They are professsional and clean up well after themselves. They go over prices well and explain what they are going to do ahead of time of the appointment.

Installed an automatic water shutoff on the hot water heater. What was originally quoted as $650 quickly became $1050. While most aspects of the service were fine the pricing was very high. Since I had to have the part installed prior to May 1st I was stuck with this provider. Unlikely to use again.

As a basic plumbing and heating company, FH Furr is fine. We were having issues with our well, so they did the best that they could, not specializing in that field. If you have a well, I highly recommend calling a well and pump specific company, before a large plumbing and Air company. Our well issue turned out to be a leak under the house, which FH Furr could have diagnosed, but they do not specialize in wells so they probably didn't understand the symptoms. They are one of three plumbing companies we've had to the house for our water issues. No plumbing company found the leak. The well company I called located it within 10 minutes. We looked into other filtration systems later and discovered that the price of their filtration system is a little inflated. This may be due to installation charges that are higher than the other companies in the area. If you need a whole house filtration unit, you should shop around. If you're a loyal FH Furr customer, they may work with you on price. Another example of inflation is that the well pump installation was around $5,000. The well company who came to the house said they would have installed the same one for $3,000. Once again, that may be attributed to FH Furr not specializing in the well systems. It also could have been the well company trying to drum up business. I will definately use FH Furr for my air/heating system but will most likely call the well company back for any water issues. My original review of this company was pretty bad, however, their customer service rep actually took the time to read it and call me to work out my issues. For that alone, I give their customer service a big thumbs up. We've also never had an FH Furr technician be late and we truly appreciate that.

We had the service for a couple of years. They were very good, and they came out and did a very good job every time they came. The price was fair. We found these people, and they did such a good job for us, we continued using them.

the team that came to our house was fantastic: responsive, quick, tried their best, explained each day what would happen, found creative solutions for an old house, Their manager was also extremely responsive and efficient. The contracts office was very slow, but the technical team's excellence made up for it.

If you cant do appointments within the work time that you state on your website, dont waste your clients time asking for all their details and then saying we cant come on this time. therefore i think it is only fair they are marked F for responsiveness .
