He always goes over and beyond-he is professional, courteous, very knowledgable, and works very quickly. There is never a need for a return visit because he accurately diagnoses the issue and takes care of it. He also gives good tips. When he says we need something done, we believe him because he is not trying to jack up the cost! Also, we called around 11 a.m. so we weren't sure we could get an appointment that day. Our A/C was up and running within a few hours of our call!

Description of Work: Yesterday our basement was flooding and we could not find a source. We turned off our water at the street and called F.H. Furr. Actually I called a bunch of plumbers on Angies List that Friday afternoon Labor Day weekend but none had a crew that could quickly deal with this situation. The Dispatcher at F.H. Furr was very helpful and professional and she said they could have a truck out within a few hours. Jimmy Bevans came within the hour and quickly assessed the situation. It did appear we had a break in our water line under our slab somewhere. That is not covered with homeowners and we don’t have additional insurance on that. Jimmy explained the options and the realities of replacing the waterline in our townhouse unit and things were not looking good but we felt like we knew the root cause and had a decent understanding of what it was going to involve. Meanwhile, our neighbor came home and their basement was flooding too. Jimmy checked their water meter then he checked the next water meter and it was spinning like crazy. So it was our neighbor two doors down and slightly up hill, whose 20 year old brittle water line, same one we have, that was the culprit to all the water. Jimmy then quickly assisted that neighbor with turning their water main off and he spoke with their insurance agent to explain the situation.

We have bought a new system through them so have a plan for four years for them to come out and do our maintenance for the next four years. We found them through Costco and that is why we went with them. I mean. they do a good job, but our main reason for going with them was that Costco was offering, like, a cost-back deal. They are based out of Manassas, Virginia. I think they do plumbing as well. We bought the unit through Costco and they installed it and also service it.

Justin was very informative and very willing to answer my questions. I have an older system and I enquired about options for a replacement. He was very helpful with options and things I need to consider before taking the next step.

+ 1 moreCurtis came on time and checked the gas pressure regulator on the water heater and found no gas leak. He also reseated the bathroom toilet, installed new metal washers and nuts and recaulked toilet. No leaks were found and everything is working correctly.

Description of Work: Juan Balbueno from FH FURR in Manassas, VA replaced coils in my HVAC. We had a freon leak. He did a temporary fix a week prior and we were grateful to have cool air during the hot summer. The part was ordered and the next day they called to tell us when he would be back to work on the unit. He showed up as scheduled and worked non-stop for the expected 3-6 hour installation.

+ -1 moreThe temps outside are brutally hot but it did not slow this guy down one bit. He found a tiny leak in an old copper pipe. Fixed the entire leak in a very tiny attic workspace.
Description of Work: Worked tirelessly to find a pin hole size leak in my ceiling- found the leak and fixed it all in same visit. He had all of the equipment on his truck. I highly recommend CHASE SCOTT for any plumbing issue. He has helped us with plumbing issues in the past and has been excellent.

+ -1 moreScheduling their Comfort Consultation Specialist to come started off a little rocky, but once we got that worked out everything was smooth sailing. I have to say we were a little reluctant to use this company because of their B rating on Angie's List, but as Costco members it was the best price for getting a quality HVAC system installed before the weather started getting hot again. One of the reasons why we chose this company over another that had an A rating on Angie's List was because of the difference in the details in the scope of work explained right up front. Maybe it was the difference in salesmen but the other company's contract didn't have near the level of explanation. The day before installation, the office called and gave me the window of when they would arrive. They arrived a few minutes past the start of the window -- very punctual. Frank, the installer and his partner were very professional and thorough. Frank was very personable and he explained how to use our new thermostat and some of the other features of our new unit. He also gave us some energy-saving tips. Would definitely recommend this company! Their HVAC installation is great.

He listened to what I wanted and repeated back to me what he heard and then gave his opinion on what needed to be done. His understanding of his craft and his personability was such that I trusted him and so I agreed to the work. He shared with me what the overall price would be before he started the work and was very detailed describing each aspect of what was to be done. He then gave me a time that he might be done, but he actually beat that time. After the work was done he showed me what was done and explained the warranty and what was covered. I was able to ask lots of questions and he answered each of them. He's so natural with what he does that he may not even realize how many questions I asked him. :) One of the reasons I always call F.H. Furr is because of the quality of people they send out. Christopher Currier was the epitome of the best of the best I expect from F.H. Furr. From the initial call for help to the delivery of excellent quality work I am pleased and their fees didn't break the bank. I can't think of going anywhere else for my plumbing needs and days like to take are a nice reminder as to why.
Description of Work: Removed and installed builder grade garbage disposal. Replaced PVC kitchen sink and drain tap. Replaced emergency water valve shutoffs. Rebuilt two toilets.

+ 0 moreCurtis and his associate came out promptly at 8:30 which was the window I was given on short notice (called at 6:00pm night before) to look at our 10 y/o water heater. He told us some options and ultimately we decided to replace the unit. He explained that our gas valves were no longer up to code and that we would have to replace them as well with the heater. He also recommended replacing the main water valve shut off to outside to a lever instead of our current knob due to its erosion and time it took to shut it off. Ultimately the work was done today and everything is up to code. They guarantee their labor for a year and the equipment and parts for 6 years. I would definitely recommend asking for Curtis as he was patient and answered all our questions.
