F.H. Furr Plumbing Heating AC & Electrical

We have 2 HVAC systems - one in the attic and one in the basement. Mr. Shahi was courteous and extremely professional. He was diligent in his work and very thorough. I would like to have him do my annual servicing each time it's required. Mr. Shahi should be recognized by FH Furr for his professionalism - he is certainly an asset to the company.

During a regular inspection of our HVAC system, the HVAC technician noticed water leaking from our thermal expansion tank off the water heater, so we had a plumber come out to take a look. Chris C. (#214) came out to take a look. It was clear the thermal expansion tank needed to be repaired. When we went to turn off the main water valve to the house, the valve started leaking water, so that needed to be replaced, too. Chris turned off the water at the street, and was able to get everything replaced that needed to be replaced. He also did an inspection of the rest of the plumbing, and didn't find any problems. Chris was polite, and professional, answered all my questions, and all the questions my son had for him. Since he was there, and since the wall was open, and he would be working on pipes, I asked him to do a couple of other things (** in the work done list) that would need to be done sooner or later anyways. FH Furr is not a cheap option, but they do good work, they stand by their work, and I've never had a problem with any of their work. To me, the peace of mind you get from knowing a job was done right, by a licensed and bonded tradesperson, is worth the premium paid.

Everything went great. He patiently explained what he was doing and why it was important to the life of the HVAC unit. This was part of a yearly contract to check the unit right before it will be used. The contract is $160 annually

The entire experience was professional and pleasant. Sean Cary provided a great review of our needs, shared his knowledge of HVAC systems and design, and discussed our options in great detail. He worked with us on pricing to ensure we got maximum return on our investment. The installation team of Tony Grandy and John Howard were prompt and hard-working. They worked through the entire day without breaks to get the job done and left everything neat and tidy.

They just kind of come and do it automatically and I don't really keep track of what day it was. We have a contract with them. I think their price is high, but their work is good. I like their people and I like the way their people always say the owner treats them very well and that's important. My interaction with them was excellent and the work turned out excellent. In the future to get a higher grade from me they could reduce their price.

I don't think it could have gone better. I called and spoke with Angie who was very friendly, efficient, and who I could understand perfectly over the phone and she had someone come out the next day. Someone called the next day to confirm and then again about an hour before to give me an ETA. Trevor Via was the technician who showed up. He was clean, polite and went through my whole house inspecting the garbage disposal and all the plumbing. I also wanted an estimate on a new toilet. He then wrote up 4 proposals from getting everything done to just the most important, which was the garbage disposal. I decided to get everything done except the new toilet. Trevor was very efficient and very happy to answer all my question as he was showing me what was wrong and also while he was fixing it and I had a lot of questions. All in all a great experience and it's too bad that more repair companies can't be as good. I highly recommend them.

Thursday morning, March 9th, I called F H Furr to ask if my installation could be moved up to Friday March 10 instead March 13 since the outside temps were scheduled to drop below 30 degrees on March 11. They said no problem. On March 10, the team of Osvin C.& Rashid P arrived at around 8:30am. They finished the installation well under the 8-hour period that the company told me to expect. They replaced a system that I purchased only 6 years ago that never kept my house warm. I had been using space heaters and wearing jackets in my house. Apparently, the 6-year old system was improperly installed (by a different company). Now my home is nice and warm thanks to the skillful talents of Rashid and Osvin. The task ahead of them was, to say the least, monumental. My air handler is in a tight closet with a huge water heater because the new air handler is 10 inches taller and 2 inches deeper than my old one. The team entered my house with a smile and assured me that they would take care of everything. They put down drop cloths, wore shoe covers, answered all my questions and cleaned up all debris before leaving. They worked diligently all morning & afternoon w/o taking a break. The skills that they possessed allowed them to get my new system installed, while correcting the problems caused by the installation of the failing system. I'm not sure why my old system wouldn't heat my townhouse. I'd had the original installers come out several times to 'fix' the old one & on their 3rd visit that technician realized that the original installers had not built a furnace-filter tray in the air handler. So not only was I cold, I was been getting repeated sinus infections requiring numerous doctor visits. To me, the means that the Furr technicians are also life savers. Words can't begin to express how grateful I am that these two skilled, talented, and caring young men were the ones F H Furr sent out to install my new heating system. I also got a digital Wi-Fi thermostat with my new system. Rashid connected it to my home network, showed me how to download the app on my cell phone to control the system remotely and gave me a quick lesson on how to us it. I look forward to a long relation with F H Furr and will highly recommend them to anyone in need of a heat/cooling solution. I contracted with Furr via Costco. Thank You from the bottom of my heart to both companies.

Because of some problems of which some were out of their control (like walls that were not square) the complete job took a little longer than estimated but they finished all work and the bathroom looks great. Thanks to all that worked on my project.

Corwin was professional and explained the process. He offered other services but was not pushy. He only made suggestions based on my inquiries.

It went vey well. They came the next day, provided a courtesy call, then arrived on time. Kyle was very professional, explained my options. I elected to replace the faucet and Kyle did it right then within an hour. The new one looks and works great. I'm very happy with their quick and efficient service.

It was part of my service agreement. They are very dependable, very knowledgeable, punctual, and professional. The workers were all very nice. I have been using them for years.

There's a problem with the heat pump in that it's on a slope and they don't really level it. So then I had to hire another company to do that, but I guess that's outside of their scope.

We are on a maintenance plan. I think even with the maintenance plan we get charged for things that should be included. The workers are fine. It usually takes them about an hour to complete the work. There are no problems that I'm aware of regarding how clean they leave the area.

Kevin the sales man show up and from the beginning display a very smug and condescending attitude. He first questioned why I thought I needed a tank-less water heater. He proceeded to try and demonstrate his unquestioned superiority knowledge of the gas tank-less water heater. At the end of the day if I was not already turned off by his annoying attitude, the outrageously high end estimate ($3000 more that others) for the tank-less water heater still would have prevented me from doing business with the company.

All went well- technician called ahead and arrived on time as promised the night before. Mr. Close was very respectful and knowledgeable and immediately provided complete full and complete quotes on services and products i was interested in.

We were very impressed with the service from F.H. Furr. We had a leaking drain upstairs that resulted in water coming through our kitchen ceiling and light fixtures. I called F.H. Furr to inspect the light fixtures. The electrician arrived within four hours of my first call to the company, on a federal holiday, without charging an expensive "emergency" service surcharge. Our technical, Lloyd F., was fantastic. He inspected the lights, and verified they had dried out and were safe to use. While he was there, we also had him perform a safety inspection and install a whole home surge protector. He was professional and courteous the entire visit, and explained what he was doing every step of the way. During the inspection, he fixed a few minor non-safety related items without charging for them (such as adjusting an outlet that wasn't quite flush with the wall). Overall we were very happy with the experience, and will be sure to use F.H. Furr in the future for any heating, a/c, plumbing or electrical needs.

I called FH Furr late the eve we found the leaks and requested next day service. They did not have a scheduled time, but promised to call 1 hour prior. We received the call around noon and Michael B arrived approximately 1 hour later. We received an estimate and Michael B proceeded with the work. Professional plumber and I would definitely recommend and will use FH Furr in the future. I was also happy to find a 20% discount coupon on Angies List.

FH Furr was able to get me a same day appointment and the service tech, Michael was professional and on time.

The technician, Chase Scott, analyzed the problems, offered options, estimated the prices, and fixed the problems. In short, he was efficient. I don't really know if the price was excellent, but I am so pleased with the service that I assumed the price is comparable to what other plumbers in the area charge. What made him pleasantly different from other plumbers, other than the fact that he did a good job, was that he did not try to find something else he could do for me.

After we did much research we decided we wanted the Trane product. I believe at the time they were running a special thru Home Depot. They did a good job and I will use them again if needed.

Josh N. determined how the water is flowing into the kitchen cabinet from above: down a vent pipe. Although WHY the water is flowing down the vent pipe is still under investigation, Josh found how the water is flowing into the kitchen cabinet by cutting a hole in the kitchen ceiling and NOT in the wall above the kitchen cabinet. The wall is papered. His cutting into the ceiling vs. the wall has minimized future repair. Also, Josh was very good at explaining what he was doing and why.
