The office staff was very professional and kind. I was told Ben would come, but when the staff arrived, it was Caesar and Juan, who told me Ben couldn't come. Juan was clearly an apprentice. Caesar tried to direct Juan to do the first job (dismantling a sensor from a porch light), but Juan clearly had trouble. Juan didn't know what to do, despite Caesar standing next to the ladder and trying to talk him through it. I was getting increasingly uncomfortable as I watched this interaction. Caesar finally took over and did the job. I had not signed up for the "big deal" to have my house used as a teaching lab, and I was very uncomfortable with my work assigned to someone who didn't know what he was doing. Just because it was a "big deal" didn't mean that my work wasn't important, or that it should have been "farmed" to a new apprentice. Caesar was competent, and helpful with advice, but he did not treat my home with care. For example, I asked Caesar to look at a basement project. He did, but he ended up digging behind an electrical outlet with a wire, and then poking a hole into the drywall in the basement. He also unscrewed and pulled out an electrical outlet from the wall in the basement. He left drywall dust & debris on both the foyer floor and basement floor for me to clean up. After they left, I realized he had also left the basement electrical outlet completely hanging out from the wall, so I had to figure out how to stuff the wires back in, and then push the electrical outlet back into the wall, and screw the plate back flush to the wall. I cannot hire this contractor back, because I can't afford this kind of thoughtlessness when it comes to electrical work. Caesar also took a a quick look at my doorbell (which had recently stopped working), and told me all I needed to do was get new batteries. Well, I installed new batteries the next day, but unfortunately the doorbell still isn't fixed. So I don't feel the "big deal" turned out very well for me. It may be that if Ben had come, my experience would have been different. I just don't know.

I purchased an Angie's List special for two hours of electrical service. Prior to the service, I was promptly contacted by the service provider and we discussed the requirements. I received a call by the technician before the appointment confirming the type of service that I needed and verified the requirements for the job. The technician arrived on-time, explained how the work would be performed, and completed the job. I did inquire about Generator installation and the technician explained several options to me, to include the gas meter size, county code, and any HOA requirements. The technician provided me a ballpark figure of what it might cost to install the system, and offered me brochures should I want to move forward. Overall, the technician was very knowledgeable, was prompt, and completed the work in a timely manner.

Ben arrived even before the appointed time. He had all the materials necessary to perform the replacement of the fan. He did a professional job with the installation and hauled away all the trash. I enjoyed talking with Ben who is the owner. He even looked at another concern I had with my electric wiring. I would definitely hire Doyle Contracting again for electrical work in my house and recommend to my friends.

They fixed a light switch and replaced a fixture that was in a different part of the house. Very good work, and would recommend them!

Contacted Doyle Contracting, LLC, through Angies List for a "Big Deal" electrical work, installing a new electric garage motor. Return message from Doyle in about 2 hours (excellent). Set up appointment for 48 hours later (excellent). Ben Doyle and his assistant arrived a little bit early after a call from the last customer's home (excellent). Went right to work, did a great job(excellent). Cleaned up the area after (excellent). Would HIGHLY recommend Doyle Contracting to anyone. A+++ in my book!

The work was done in an efficient and professional manner. Justin did an excellent job and we would hire Doyle's to do any electrical work we might need in the future.

The service provider, Doyle Contracting LLC originally told us they would be there in the afternoon. Then, on the day of service called to tell us they would be there at 6 PM! That is not "afternoon"! That is evening. Then, at 7 PM, one hour after they were supposed to be there, they called again to say that they would not be able to make it that day! This is rude and unacceptable behavior!

He was a very polite technician who looked at each item I needed addressed and quickly went about his business and when he was finished he came to me and asked if there was anything else that I needed done.

I was very impressed with all aspects of this service. In fact, it's my first positive experience with a Big Deal. The scheduling was easy, prompt, friendly, and responsive. The punctuality was breathtaking---they actually called me to let me know they were going to be ten minutes late. If they hadn't called, I wouldn't have blinked at being 10 minutes behind---around here, that's just traffic. I was really impressed that they went the extra mile, and they were here exactly ten minutes after the appointment time. The guys who showed up were friendly and introduced themselves with a handshake. I felt completely comfortable, as a single female, having them in my home. They were friendly without being too chatty like some providers. And, bonus, they didn't insult me like the last electrician I had out here (the guy came out and basically told me my property was in a great location but my house is too old and I should knock it down and rebuild!). Also, the Big Deal covered two hours of electrical work, but I expected that to cover only one electrician. They sent out two guys, and it took them a full hour and a half, which is really 3 hours of service when you think about it, so I was very pleased. I stupidly forgot that I would owe them money for materials though, so I need to remember to budget that in next time I purchase a Big Deal. Start to finish, I'm very happy with the professionalism I experienced with them. They even answered my questions about an unrelated issue. I will definitely call them the next time I need an electrician in.

Went very well. The TV looks great, and I also got some advice on my electrical panel/home surge protection.

They were excellent, two men were on the team, they showed up early, got everything done, gave me good advice and were generally good to deal with. I could not have asked for more.

Very well. The electrician was informative, but could not replace lights with new LED lights on hand.

They sourced the electricity, then removed/replaced two outlets, one ceiling fan and one lantern. They were punctual (early!), professional, and completed the job within the alotted hour. I would definitely use them again.

Ignored coupon and showed up with extra person. I was asked to pay for extra person time. Job was done correctly but the Angie's ad did not indicate that 4 man hours would be required or that two people would be provided.

They were very professional and determined the problem was from a botched basement renovation. They got the parts needed from the hardware store right up the street and returned promptly for the 7 outlets that no longer worked. Would definitely use again.

The entire process from beginning to end was great! I bought the Big Deal for 2 hrs worth of electrical work and within hours I was contacted to schedule the work. I was fortunate that they had an opening for the following day, so it worked out really well. I was called the morning-of to confirm the appointment and Ben arrived right on time. Unfortunately, the weather was pretty crappy outside (sleet / rain), but he was able to quickly install the outlet outside and fix the loose one all within the 2 hr timeframe. There were some extra costs at the end to pay for a new outlet on the inside of the house and the parts associated with the outdoor outlet (i.e. bubble cover, caulk, gfci, etc), but it was well worth it and not unexpected. I would happily recommend Ben Doyle to friends and will gladly go to him with future electrical projects.

Replaced 3 smoke detectors one of which is on the 3rd floor ceiling, about 13 feet high. Fixed an under kitchen cabinet light, and a garage light.

THE CONTRACTOR SHOWED UP ON TIME. THE JOB WAS SIMPLE, INVOLVED PRIMARILY WIRING TO ELECTRICAL OUTLET. THE WORK WAS DONE SO POORLY THAT WE HAD TO ENGAGE ANOTHER CONTRACTOR TO REDO IT ALL. EXAMPLE: TO USE AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET,WE HAD TO HAVE 12 EXTERIOR LAMPS ON. COVER PLATES MISSING.AND SEVERAL STATEMENTS" WE DON'T DO THIS KIND OF WORK. POOR CLEAN UP. |AND 'WE DON"T DO THAT KIND OF WORK. ET. ETC.

Guys did a great job. There wasn't much to the job.

Caesar and Juan showed up early and worked quickly. They installed 4 recessed lights in my kitchen, installed a ceiling fan in my living room, swapped out old switches for new ones and moved outlet for my microwave. They were professional, knowledgeable and worked efficiently. I would definitely recommend them and will be contacting them in the future for any electrical needs.

I chose to cancel the Big Deal and it's a frustrating to have taken a day off from work over this. They knew what kind of work I needed to have done beforehand.

Due to a snow storm an 11:30 AM appointment turned into a 5:00PM appointment. Not a huge deal, because there was a winter storm that day, however, I did have to track them down, as I did not get a call or message telling me they would be late. The work itself was done quickly and professionally. I am very happy with the end result, and will chalk the scheduling mistake up to a tough day of weather.

They were in and out quickly. I had purchased the Big Deal for 2 hours of service but they were done in 40 minutes. I was very pleased with the results and next time I need an electrician, would use Doyle Contracting again.

I spoke to Ben Doyle on Dec. 7th and he agreed to stop by my house today, Dec. 8th, to provide me with an estimate to install a breaker in my panel, pull wire and install 8 outlets, 6 lights, 3 switches in a my recently framed basement. He had some other jobs planned for the same day, but they were cancelled, so he completed all of the work today, by himself. Very nice guy, very efficient, very professional.
