Install went great and all seemed well. Doyle sold warrantee services for annual services, then disappeared.. no return calls, no service, no refund.

The service was good. I was a little surprised because it was for two hours and they sent two guys and they told me that because they sent two guys, it would only be one hour. I thought I was going to get two hours of electrical service and he said that they have two people here so I only get an hour. They just accomplished one job. They were not even there for probably an hour. I had thought that since it was two hours that we would look at something else. They did do what I asked which was to install an outdoor electrical box on my front porch that they pulled off of an indoor outlet. So, they just did that and left.

It went well, but did not take the two hours I paid for.

Ben was very responsive and was able to perform the installation of 1 outdoor outlet. He was able to comply with my schedule and come the day I proposed. He did a great job installing the outlet. He had quite a bit of drilling as he had to break through the brick (traditional 50's brick home). Great work!

They found one that would fit, however, it was a lot more expensive than I thought it would be. I think I ended up paying like $500. I thought they were professional and polite, it is just that the first one they came with didn't fit, so they had to go back and get another one and it was more expensive. So they took more time and more costs but it still works.

Overall everything went well.

I purchased a Big Deal from this provider for an outdoor electrical box installation. When I did not hear from the provider via the AngiestList email in the time prescribed I sent an inquiry. Then I left a voicemail a few days later. Then another voicemail. Then I contacted AngiestList customer service. After a week of back and forth with them, they say the contractor has asked them to refund my deal. Big disappointment! I'm even more upset that the owner wasn't professional enough to give me a call or email explaining the situation. If he's overbooked and wanted to back out of the deal, I would understand. But he should at least have the courtesy to communicate that to me rather than leave me in the dark for 3 weeks and put the onus on me to try to get the issue resolved.

He was a sweet guy and did a lot of little jobs that I had. However, it cost me more than I thought it would because he had to come back. I’m very satisfied with his work. He seemed eager to please and was very patient. I had him install a chandelier over a kitchen table, put in a new light switch, and changing out a hall ceiling light. He also took time to explain to me which way the switch should go in the kitchen for the new chandelier.

It was okay. They sent 2 people out to do the job and they got the job done in 2 hours. They were not familiar with the switches we were installing and they seemed to take a long time so it was disappointing to have to buy another hour on top of it. I had no problems with the scheduling.

The work and scheduling were both fine.

Ben Doyle had completed work for me previously which involved replacing the electrical box in my house. This time, after finding an outlet that did not work, I was worried that other outlets and switches would be in a similar situation. My house is 34 years old and I was afraid that the electrical work in the house was compromised. I contacted Ben Doyle. He inspected the outlet and explained the dynamic that caused it to burn up. I was interested in having others in the house replaced. Ben explained the process, gave me an estimate and we scheduled a time. Ben was flexible and fit it into my schedule. The job did take longer than he originally estimated but again scheduled it to fit into my schedule. Ben cleaned up. Nice job!

They were very good and reasonable. I am going to use them again for our next electrical project!!!

Mr. Doyle answered immediately when I called for service. Another electrician I called took 6 hours to get back to me. He arrived promptly for our appointment. He was very personable. He was easy to talk to and seemed eager for work. He changed out two switches and checked for safety issues. His explanations were clear. I was so impressed I arranged to have him do another project for me at a later date.

Work went fine. I would not issue any warnings or cautions for using Doyle. The two representatives who did the work were cordial and worked quickly. Professionalism could use some polishing - just general image presented was rough around the edges. They almost left me in a position where I was worse off then where I began - one working outlet became non-working after they performed some diagnosis and they were originally going to leave this as-is. However, they did get the outlet working again before leaving, which was good. They couldn't diagnose why my non-working outlet wasn't working (the one that never worked after I moved in). The guy explained to me that electrical problems can be very time-consuming to diagnose, even if the fix is easy. I've heard that from several people, and I fully understand that it's true. I had no problems with that explanation, nor with the outlet still not working. The only reason I say I will not use Doyle in the future is just because there wasn't anything about them that I thought was above average. It was a simple job, and it could be that I just didn't have enough time/opportunity to see work above and beyond. For other consumers, if they are near you, or are offering a good deal on some work, by all means use them. I have no reason to believe you won't receive good service and a completed job.

It was a minor electrical work but they did a good job. The price was good as well.

He replaced the circuit breakers as needed.

Arrived when scheduled and did a great job. Efficient and we were happy with the work

One fan was installed perfectly and was quality work. The other, which was done by the apprentice, was not done well at all and required extensive dry wall patch due to drilling through the 2X4 and out through the wall along with a miscut on the ceiling hole so there was a gap of 4 inches around a quarter of the fan that leaked insulation down from the attic ($160 if I had them do it, so I did it on my own). It also required a revisit to rewire the switch from fan control switches to regular light switches (they couldn't figure out how to wire them). I averaged the A and the F to a C for quality. The woman who handles the front office is very responsive and nice. It cost an extra $193 for materials. Angie's list deals always wind up costing more.

Ben was terrific. He performed the requested work quickly, efficiently, and cleaned up after himself quite nicely. Overall it was a great experience and i would be more than willing to use him for future work!

It went well. The light that he installed in the closet I bought at home depot. The installation in the closet went quickly but he had to move some things around in the attic. The switch on the wall is further away than I would like and I don't know if that was a time factor as it was an Angie's List big deal with a finite amount of time. He put the switch with 2 other switches on the wall a little farther away from the closet than is ideal. When he moved some things around; in the attic, he left a bit of a mess. However, I was pleased with the work. He worked quickly and came when he was scheduled. I would have preferred in retrospect that I insisted on the switch for the closet light be installed inside the closet. It would be much more convenient.

Technician plainly knew what he was doing and was very amiable; prompted me to inquire about future work.

It was mixed to be honest. Doyle Contracting were really nice and say I think were creative in trying to find some solutions for us and I called them and told them afterwards I said the only thing that I didn't like is that they were a mess. They did a reasonable job of cleaning stuff up upstairs but their truck if you look inside of it had just trash everywhere, and then when they left, there were cigarette butts, there was like a soda bottle and there was trash that had either fallen under the truck or somehow they had and it was all in front of our house. And, so I said, "You guys are nice and I think you do sort of reasonable work, but I'm not really inclined to, because they said, "Please on Angie's List give us a good review". And, I said, "You know, think about it". To me that's all part of the service. I shouldn't have to clean out after. I don't mind cleaning up some, but I shouldn't have to clean up after their truck. They got caught another job so they will leave and we have to reschedule. So, we finally rescheduled and they were able to come out. And, because they had been late the first time around, they compassed another two hours of work so we ended up the potential of four hours of work, but we never rescheduled them to back for this other two hours just because they should have got caught up in there. When I left a note about the trash and everything, he has never rescheduled it. I think, there are, for the price for what they offer in terms of non-complicated more assertive guy electrical, I think that there are more providers out there.

Everything about the electrical service experience with Doyle Electric was outstanding. Upon making the purchase, the company responded right away and we worked together to schedule a date. On the day of install, Ben Doyle called to see if he could come out a half hour early...which was great for me. Upon arrival he was extremely professional and polite. After walking him through the areas, he went straight to work. He was extremely quick, neat and explained important details to me as far as the correct light bulbs to use in my new fixtures. All-in-all this was a great experience and a great purchase!
