Great experience with Doyle Electrical. I bought the Angie's list two hour deal and he was able to come out very quickly to meet my demanding schedule (on a Saturday!) and kept me apprised via phone of when he would exactly arrive at my house. He did more than I expected he was able to do in two hours - switched out two different fixtures and updated quite a few electrical outlets. He provided outlet plate covers on for me and charged me an extremely minimal amount for them. Very friendly and easy to work with to boot. Highly recommend!

Doyle Contracting did an excellent job mounting our television and moving the electrical & cable wiring to accomodate. They were punctual, friendly, and have competitive pricing. I would definitely recommend Doyle Contracting to anyone looking for an electrician in northern virginia.

I was VERY impressed. The two men arrived on time. One quickly installed the chandelier while the other man installed the switches. They left the place clean. This was an Angie's deal and worked out wonderfully.

Email response from the company owner on scheduling was rapid after purchased of this labor package and they were able to meet one of my requested timeslots. Two employees, Casear & Juan, arrived 30 min early for the scheduled appointment, but waited until I arrived about 10 min before the scheduled start time. They quickly diagnosed the problem with my light fixture above a bathroom vanity -- somehow the neutral wire in the wall had become disconnected after 3 years -- likely due to poor initial installation from the home builder. So they fixed that and verified wiring was safe on the switches and remove excess wire bits from the rear of the switches to further improve safety. Since I had already pre-paid for the 2 hr labor package deal from Angie's List and had some other questions and work to do, they were happy to make use of the time: they investigated wiring of two (4) 3-way switches controlling two lights on the same circuit -- concluding they could be combined into one (2) 3-way switch for both lights, but we mutually agreed there was little point now doing so. They then installed an exterior outlet for my grill and charged me a reasonable $49 for the parts (GFI outlet, exterior box, a bit of wire, and an exterior box bubble cover). They tapped the wires off-of an existing interior outlet and drilled through the exterior wall without disturbing the interior drywall or anything other than the one whole on the exterior which the new box of course covers. I also got some advice and a cost estimate for a possible future install of a sensor security floodlight. They both worked rapidly the entire time, were friendly and communicative and polite, kept things clean, and were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for home electrical jobs, whether repair or new installs.

It was fine. They were quick and responsive. The work was okay. It wasn’t a big job but it was good. They came out 2 weeks after I purchased the deal.

I wanted new three indoor outlets installed in hallways. The employees could not do the job for two of the hallways. One outlet was added to the upstairs hall. Said the other two outlets would be labor intensive, etc. I had an estimate from another vendor that could do the job. So, I paid $109.00 for less than 1 hour of work to install one interior outlet ($29.00 more than the company hourly rate) plus $12.00 for material. I'll stick with people I know with more electrical experience in the future.

Our carport light was literally hanging by wires when I contacted Doyle Contracting. Katy Doyle was great, and efficient... I was happy and relieved that Ben Doyle was able to come out to replace the light the same week I called. Ben was professional, nice, and efficient. I was scheduled to have more work done inside my home, but had to cancel at the last minute....Ben was very understanding and I definitely plan on calling Doyle Contracting soon to schedule more work. I had a great experience with Doyle Contracting...I highly recommend them!

They were efficient, professional and quick. The lead electrician was clearly very knowledgeable. They had to diagnose the problem, fix the old, incorrect wiring, replace an electrical outlet that was awkwardly installed under the tub (they put it in a better location in case something goes wrong in the future), install a box outside the house wall to house some wires, replace a dead fuse .... the list goes on but they got it working and they were quick! I'd bought a Big Deal on Angie's List and I asked the men if they could stay and work an extra hour to deal with two other electrical issues I had. They agreed and did a great job, again, they were smart and quick also very polite and pleasant to deal with. I was thrilled with the results. On top of all that -- the company does not service Montgomery County, Md. When I bought the big deal I didn't realize that they only serviced the Manassas. Va. area. They were kind enough to honor the Big Deal and send their guys all the way out to my house. So -- great company, great electricians, fabulous work, great price -- I cannot recommend this company highly enough. The price of $330 includes the Big Deal plus the extra hour of work and some parts.

The young man was polite and very appropriate and took the time to explain things to me. He told me what could be changed and what we would not be able to fix. He called to advise he was running behind due to weather delays. He had to leave to purchase supplies and did not charge me for the time he was gone.

They were fantastic. I would highly recommend them.

They let me know early on the day scheduled that they would not be able to come b/c a contractor had called in sick (Friday, 11/15). But Ben and his assistant came out on Sunday to install one of the lights. They did not have an extension ladder so they had to reschedule the 2nd installation and finished it when they said they would!

Ben made extra effort to come and do the job regardless of the company being short of technicians on the scheduled day. The work was done professionally.

Service was excellent. First there were email exchanges about what work was to be done. We wanted an extra recessed light installed in the bathroom, hooked up to an existing switch. Beforehand they told us what kind of recessed light housing to buy. Electrician arrived right on time. The work was going to be done early so we decided to go to HD to buy another recessed light to put above the bath tub. Both lights got installed and he even had time to inspect some outlets that weren't working. He said the place is wired poorly, which turned out t o be true, but he didn't have time to fix it. This was a great deal and would definitely use them again.

they showed up 15 minutes early without notifying me (I was at the gym and returned 15 minutes before appt. time so I was there but it threw me a little off because I had planned on doing a few things preliminary to their visit and there they were!) I wanted them to check all outlets to verify if they were working and they had no tool for that. They borrowed a night light from me to do this. Seems like the tool for checking outlets in good working condition should be a basic of the trade. They did an overall good job but in a somewhat haphazard way. Since this was an Angie's List special, I can of figured I got what I paid for but at full price this would have been disappointing.

The tech called came early and did a great job

It went very well. They came out about 2 to 3 weeks ago and I spent about $300 or so. They basically fixed the ceiling lighting and I requested them to do some additional work like putting in a flood light in the back. Their service is very good.

I used one of Angie's big deals for 2 hours of Doyle electrical service: cost $109. Of course I thought I would maximize my time so I attached the new fan blades, connected the rods, bought new nuts and bolts (just in case), bought new brackets because mine is the "house that Jack built" and if it could go wrong, it will! I removed the old range hood and cleaned the area in preparation for the new one. Well, my house did not let me down! The stove and the exhaust vent were NOT aligned! The original hood was cut and patched to fit the opening for the exhaust, This explained why the wires were exposed and I thought it was just missing parts! Doyle called to let me know he would be a few minutes late but he was on his way. He was to be there at 10, he was there about 10:15. Thinking the range hood would be simple, he started there! This house never let's me down. I explained that I'm a bit of a DIY person and that I'm a stickler for detail. We were both in awe of the fiasco made with this old range hood. He sized up the new one and we both decided it would be best to use the exhaust vice filters. Measured and remeasured, cut the new hood to fit the opening in the wall which was off center to the location of the stove because the kitchen designer opted for wider cabinets vice the proper fit for the exhaust ventilation built into the house for the stove exhaust fan! YEP... I said it in one breath! ANYWAY, Doyle made some precise cuts and re-drills to the new hood, spliced some cables and fittings, set the new hood in place, aligned everything AND hid the wires as best as could be in the situation! BEAUTIFUL JOB! Under normal circumstances, this would have been a quick job - but, the more I take apart in this house, the more faulty construction is revealed! PROOF... next the ceiling fans! SIMPLE enough, NOT! Good thing I pre-purchased the new brackets, they were definitely needed! After much time spent untangling wires and replacing the fixture the lower fan was hung. I installed the blades in an effort to save time while he worked on the second fan. OMG... the second fan was literally hanging by the wires, 14 feet above the floor! "The house that Jack built" - Doyle to the rescue. And since he was prepared for the tangled wires, this install went quicker. New brackets installed, installation complete! BEAUTIFUL WORK! Great sense of humor and literally a life saver, did I mention the wall switch was not wired properly and had to be replaced! Work took 3 hours through no fault of Doyle, he only charged me $80 additional. Whew, thanks! THEN, I asked if he would provide an estimate and ideas for some additional work! I will be hiring him AGAIN! Mind you, I'll be looking for more Deals on Angie's List from DOYLE! Great JOB!

The two man crew arrived right on time and gave us an accurate estimate of the time for the work (one hour for two persons). They worked quickly and efficiently, getting all the work done in an hour (actually an hour and 10 minutes, but there was no charge for the extra time). Everything worked perfectly after they rewired the microwave and installed the new light fixtures. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing electrical work in their home.

The job took more time and money from me than I was expecting. I also want them to install a light in my bathroom over the vanity to a separate switch. I am satisfied with the way the light looks. He informed me of everything he was doing. He was very professional and there were two guys that came out to do the job.

There were two of them on the job and they went right to work. They asked us if there was anything else that they could do since we had hired them for an hour with the two of them there and unfortunately, we had not pulled together any other thought so we did not have them do anything else at that time. They made a request of dates and times that would be good for scheduling the appointment and they got back to us very quickly. They made an alternative suggestion which also worked for us and they were even early in showing up. They were very polite and very efficient. Everything went fine. We paid them another $40 something for the materials.

I didn't think they could do it and I would have been happy just to get one plug to work. They managed to fix the problem entirely to my satisfaction. Very pleased with their work

Ben and his assistant Juan did a fabulous job rewiring the porch and hanging my front porch light. They went the extra mile to figure out what the problem was with the existing wires and quickly found the least costly way to do the job. I would definitely hire them for any electrical work or work on my whole house generator, as that is their specialty.

He checked all the sockets in the rooms and went to the store to get the specific switch I needed. He was so quick but thorough. I.want him to come back and work on more issues, like changing lighting and fixing the lights in the basement.
