Description of Work: We have used Discover Granite for installing granite countertops several times. They provided excellent service, guidance, and materials. The manager and staff were excellent sources of knowledge on the products they carry and their uses; and how to choose the most economical granite in the color range for our kitchen. They were prompt for both measuring and installation of the kitchen countertops. The finished counter looks spectacular! I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: I had difficulty making arrangements with Discovery Granite; salesperson was often not available. The other people at that location wonderful. So was the sale person when he was there. | |The workers arrived late afternoon to do a job that might have taken all day. I got the feeling that they were rushing to get it done that day. In fact, they were supposed to have installed a piece of wood to hide the space left when they raised the countertop. They didn't have time to do it and I agreed to have it deleted from the contract. | |The job appears to be well done. | |

Description of Work: It went well, generally. They installed granite countertops in my kitchen. The only reason I give them a B and not an A is that they weren't clear that I would need to find a plumber to install the new sink. I bought the sink from them and during the sales process I understood that they would send a plumber. It was a misunderstanding, but it did cause some inconvenience and I think they should have been clear about it.

Description of Work: Installed stone counter tops in our master bathroom. Discover walked us through their selection of stones, and helped guide us through their remnant offerings. They had a better selection for what we wanted than a few other places we had visited. It turned out the remnant stone we chose came out just short of a fit. Discover stepped up and found us an alternative that we liked even better than our original selection at no additional charge. They made every effort to ensure the project was completed on schedule as promised. The counter tops turned out better than I could have imagined. They matched up the back splash pieces perfectly for a seamless look. I would highly recommend giving Discover Granite a try.

 + -1 moreWe searched for a number of countertop providers in the Manassas/Gainesville area, and settled on Discover for both price and the style of granite we liked. Discover worked with us to lay out the counters on the granite slab that we picked, and matched the backsplash to look continuous with the countertop. Their recommendation on where to split the countertop work well,and they threw in a polished cutting board from the extra granite. Installation went well except for damage to the linoleum floor when they moved the refrigerator. This was ok since we had planned to replace the floor anyway, and it made my wife happy to move up that replacement.

 + -1 moreWe had previously used them for countertops in the kitchen of our previous house. Both times they were vell priced, fast, and an overall good company to work with. Our second installation did have a bit of a hiccup as one piece was not cut correctly. The company fixed it without any problem, but arranging installation was not as smooth as I would have liked. We were told they could install on a Monday afternoon, but as that time rolled around still no word. Not until late afternoon were we told it wouldn't be till 700 or 800 that night as they had a big job that was taking longer than expected. While their desire to do the install as quickly as possible was appreciated, it would have been a lot better to schedule a time when they were confident they could be there at the scheduled time instead of trying to squeeze us in. They did knock some off the price to make up for it. We would use them again.

 + 0 moreIt was $50 a square yard. It was very good. They measured it and did it in exactly 2 1/2 hours. They stripped it, put it in and it is working perfectly. They didn't make any mistakes on their accuracy. Their price was comparable and maybe better. We would absolutely hire them again.
