Fantastic. I am so pleased. I took a chance on this - at the time - unknown contractor when I took advantage of an Angie's List deal ($99 for $200 worth of services). The company responded immediately and worked with me over the next few weeks to arrange an appointment. The project went beautifully. Victor and Carlos took care to cover items in my bedroom and closet; they are highly knowledgeable and super pleasant. They worked efficiently and answered my questions. I am uber pleased with the quality of the work and will have them back for more lighting projects.

First, the company tried to charge me overtime although their normal business hours include Saturdays. Next, the technician examined my light switch, determined it was working, and concluded the fault was in my fixture. He didn't examine or attempt to repair the fixture. He stated that when I purchased a new fixture, they would come back and install it for an additional charge. When I pointed out he'd been there less than half an hour when I'd paid for 2 hours of labor, he said the rest of the time was not transferable. I was extremely disappointed in his manner and unhelpfulness.

Would not use the plugs/switches I had purchased and buying theirs cost more. I am happy with the final product and was able to get a refund for my Home Depot supplies. My kitchen had been renovated and a line added for power to a specific area. Did not feel my electric panel needed upgrading and Courtesy did not push. Work was done within the time frame and the extra paid for their supplies was not extreme. I would use Courtesy Electric again.

Installation was done 2 days later. I had been told that because the seat needed it's own circuit breaker they would need to cut through drywall to get from the circuit breakers to the bathroom. This was done with minimal damage (which has since been repaired) and the outlet was installed in about an hour. Would use again in similar circumstance.

Victor was supposed to come from 11-12. We called at 10 minutes after 12, and he said he lost track of time! He showed up over an hour later! He immediately tried to upsell us and said he needed to charge us another $200, even though we clarified that we already had what we needed within the confines of the deal. I told him this felt like a bait and switch, and that I didn't want to write a bad review on him on Angie's List. He didn't apologize for his tardiness and said we could just write a bad review and stormed out.

Courtesy Electric & Home Improvement offered an Anglie's List deal that I used to replace a laundry room fluorescent light fixture with an LED fixture I had purchased several months before. After Victor installed the new fixture, it didn't work. I watched as he traced the problem to the fixture itself, which was defective. He returned a few days later to install a new fixture. He did not charge me extra for having to replace the fixture twice. Victor also did a panel restoration (tightening conductors, testing circuit breakers, etc) and performed a whole house electrical safety inspection. After the inspection he produced a detailed documentation of items needing correction, along with his assessment of which items were critical safety issues that needed to be corrected as soon as possible. I had him return a few months later to replace the koi pond sub panel which was dangerously corroded. This required that a new line be run (underground) from the main breaker panel in the house out to the pump house. He also was able to determine that a recurring hot water heater problem was due to incorrect wiring by a previous electrician (different company), which he corrected. I also had them come back and install smoke detectors throughout the house. Victor is very competent and professional. He explains things thoroughly and provides excellent documentation. His estimates are very detailed, explaining exactly what they will do and what materials will be used. I was very pleased with his work.

Great! Victor addressed all of our concerns and we got tremendous value for the price we paid for two hours of his time through an Angie's List special. It turned out the previous owner's handyman had done some shoddy wiring and we were at major risk of future outages or even a fire. Victor was very patient and even showed my tool-timing wife some things she could do without hiring a contractor. We are going to have to spend a lot of money to get the problems remedied and plan on hiring back Courtesy Electric. My wife was impressed with Victor's knowledge and ability to translate complicated electrical issues into layman's terms.

It went just fine and they were very fast.

I am very pleased with the finished project. My kitchen looks much brighter and has a much better ambiance due to the recessed LEDS and under cabinet lights .

I wanted them to replace a couple outlets... instead they came to try to upsell me on doing a large multi-hour project... I scheduled a 2nd appointment with them and they didn't show... Another company was able to do the job in less than an hour

Took months to get the work done. First it was too cold in March, then the next date was rainy, Then they failed to show due to some mix up on their part, then rainy again. Finally got the work done in mid-June. Partly it was the weather, partly not very quick responses to scheduling request, Once they said they forgot to get back in touch in April...I used a coupon from Angie's list. I do not know if I would do that again, as there may be less incentive to get the work done when paid up front.

Tried to sell me the world instead of focusing on the minor issues I wanted fixed.

Victor showed up right on time, was very professional, courteous and got the job done in a timely manner

Great contractor and definitely one of the better experiences with a contractor that I've had in the area. He was thoughtful in his approach to the work, provided different options for completing the work, and was very clear in what materials he required for the job. I really appreciated his work and he was able to get more done in two hours that I thought he would. I'd definitely hire again.

Good... just didn't get detailed invoice as advertised until I tracked it down...

On May 19, Victor (Owner, Courtesy Electric) showed up and my wife (Nicole) asked him to replace an exterior security light that we recently had installed that was no longer working. After discussing the work and examining the installation, Victor determined that he did not have the proper length ladder to replace the light. He advised my wife that he needed to reschedule so he could install the new light. We followed up via email with Victor to confirm when he had availability in his schedule on May 19. He replied later that day stating that he had availability on June 2 between 1300-1500. We agreed to the revised schedule. In between May 19th and June 2nd, we had our second security light malfunction. Since it was lower in height than the original one that was planned on being replaced and we knew that the job was going to be well within the two hour time limit, we planned on asking Courtesy Electric to also replace that fixture and ordered two replacement fixtures. On June 2nd, an employee fro Courtesy Electric showed up to replace the fixtures. My wife again advised him of the work requested (replacing two outside security light fixtures). He began working on the replacing the lower height fixture. When he finished he advised my wife that he would need a second electrician for an additional $189.00 to come out to assist because he wasn't comfortable with climbing the ladder of the height of the original fixture that we asked to have replaced. My wife addressed that we asked to have both light replaced and that Victor (the owner of Courtesy Electric) was aware of the height of the fixture which is what necessitated them coming back to ensure they had a proper height ladder (20'). The employee advised that we could call Victor to discuss, but that we were still eligible for an additional hour of work. We think this was a "bait and switch" an opportunistic since we knew we were asking for less than two hours of electrical work and because we asked for an additional fixture to be installed that was of lower height that what they had originally scoped, they took advantage of the opportunity. Also, it seems from the installation that they did not install the surface mount plate for the one exterior light and upon our use last evening the motion sensor is not pointed properly to activate the light and the lights are not aimed correctly.

Installer called an hour and a half after he was due (he claimed he didn't have cell service where he was) and explained he was running behind on another job and could he reschedule for the next day. I agreed. He showed at the appointed time the following day and was very professional. I had an Angie's List coupon so the price was very reasonable. All and all, I would select them again for simple jobs.

They are certainly very professional and provide high quality service. However, I had to go back and forth to schedule the time to perform the services. Once they started the service, they were unable to finish the work that they already assessed within the time they expected and had to charge me for the additional hours which I did not find professional. Their work was great but this unexpected additional cost after they assessed the work was unacceptable. I would have given them A+ if it was not for this. On the other hand, they worked and not slacked during that time so I cannot fault them for doing slow or bad job, just an inaccurate assessment.

An appointment was set after following up with the contractor several times. On the day of the appointment, the contractor never showed up and didn't bother to reschedule. Has not responded yet after several messages
