It went very well. It's beautiful, They gave great discount, and compared to Cal closet, got a better deal. If I wanted to spend less, it didn't come with the quality (even by other providers)... so I think we got it at a great deal, but still overall it was quite expensive in any standards .

I liked everything about the company except for the sales rep that visited my home. She wasn't very polished, got very frustrated over the difficulty of the layout (as well that my home is located in the city so parallel parking was an issue for her - I ultimately moved my car so she could park in the driveway) and was not someone who I would have wanted to work with. Had the system worked with our space, I would have contacted the company and asked to have a different sales rep come out.

we love the work they did and the closets they built... but it's expensive... no doubt about it.

The work was outstanding. From consultation to installation, my expectations were exceeded. The designer was professional and knowledgeable, she worked with us to come up with perfect solutions for our storage needs. This is a dramatically better product than you can get from home improvement stores. This is not a modular system, their pieces are custom fabricated for your specific space. That means a custom fit, including the details of our space like an access panel in one wall (for the motor of the jacuzzi tub in the adjacent bathroom). The drawers are silk smooth in their operation, they close silently. The drawer faces are hardwood with a beautiful finish, not the particle board I have seen in other custom closets. Our project included some unique requests, including a custom lockable gun cabinet. They came up with an 8 ft. custom door with separate compartments for rifles, pistols, ammunition and other accessories. They designed a space that is not only functional but also beautiful. The amount of added storage probably doubled after their custom installation. I would use them again in a heartbeat, the money you spend here is a solid investment in a quality product. After the installation was done, the installer came back out to make sure everything was perfect. He spent time making sure the operation of the drawers and the cabinet lock were fine-tuned, assuring us that they would stand behind their products and correct any issues that could come up.

Our master closet, 3rd bedroom closet, and a set of bookshelves, were recently installed by Closets by Design and we are incredibly pleased. Teri Carroll was our designer and she was outstanding. Teri?s experience in designing closets was on full display, offering total solutions to our every concern. Teri came to our home and gave us a very sensible and efficient design to maximize the space in our closets. Teri was cognizant of our budget constraints and remained sensitive to those concerns with no high pressure sales or pesky up selling. What impressed me most about Teri was her service after the sale. I?ve dealt with many sales persons who do or say exactly what is needed to get the sale, get that contract signed, and then they disappear. NOT Teri. Teri worked with me throughout my several design changes, material changes, and just changing my mind in general. She even kept in contact with me after installation was complete. We did have a minor problem with the install of the bookshelves and I reached out to Teri, who connected me with Andy the Installation Manager. Andy is yet another one of Closets by Design over achievers. We sent Andy pictures of the bookshelf and indentified our concerns with the bookshelves. Within the hour, Andy had contacted me by phone, scheduled a new installation date, and had installers at my home correcting the problem within 48 hours. Now that?s ?service after the sale.? I am extremely pleased with the product, the price, and the service. Teri and Andy are great people to work with, the sales experience was painless, the installation went great, and the service after the sale was outstanding!!! Would definitely recommend Closets by Design.

Outstanding! The designer was highly experienced and didn't miss a single nuance in a very tricky space. Helped me get EXACTLY what I wanted. The installers were real experts, too, and the results are excellent. They don't sell the fanciest closet intereriors on the planet, but what they do sell, they make and install perfectly - even the floor guys noticed what a good job it was. Every piece fits like a glove. My new closet is beautifully clean and organized - it accomdates 500 books and my entire wardrobe, shoes, etc. optimizing an awkward footprint. Everything is at my finger tips. It could also be easily reconfigured for someoone else with other needs. I couldn't be happier with it - I will be having them back for my hall closet soon.

This is my third installation by CBD. My first was my master bedroom closet, second, a wall of drawers and cabinets for my sewing room, so when it was time to do the guest room closet I knew just who to call. The designer arrived on time and completed the measuring and drawing quickly. It was a small job in a standard closet. The installer, Miguel, just left. He was prompt, clean and worked quickly. He covered my new carpeting with tarps and vacuumed the area when he was finished. He showed me how to move the bars and shelves and explained the lifetime warranty to me. If I had any more closets, I would definitely use them again. It is amazing how much more storage each closet has now!

The CBD team from the design representative, David Chin, through Andy, Miguel and Miguel the installation team, were topshelf, if you will allow the pun. Professionalism and customer focus from the first phone call to final installation. Excellent work at reasonable price. This was very large job coming on the heels of a move to the new home; we were sitting with all our clothes in packing boxes and as each closet was finished we unloaded the contents of the boxes into each. The job was scheduled to last three days and as we were rapidly reaching stress overload we asked the installation team to finish in two. The team stay on site until almost 11:00PM on day two, never complained and took few if any noticable breaks. Quality did not suffer and a thorough cleanup was done even though the team had to return the company vehicle and still had 30 minute commutes home. We are already asking CBD to come in and give us an estimate on storage for the garage. Highly recommend them to anyone who wants it done right with a quality product.

The salesperson did a great job with measurements and the installation person was efficient and professional. However, I thought that the price was a little high, even with all the discounts. If we had to do it again, I might go with a different company due to the price. We would certainly get a few more estimates...

The agent came on time and was very thorough in measurements and asking questions. She took a bit too much time - basically took the whole morning on a very busy weekend. Then she didn't get back to me with the design or a quote for nearly a month. In the meantime, I gave up on her, had two other quotes done, and got my closets redone by Container Store before she even got back to me with the designs or the initial quote (which was multiple times higher than Container Store).

John was assigned to me and from the start was very attentive and committed to getting it right. He was meticulous with his measuring which was important since my house is old and the walls are not even. He came for a consult and worked with me til the end, even though he was not there for the installation. I appreciated his willingness to negotiate, even though the price was higher than I wanted to spend, but realistically a fair price, given that I couldn't have done this myself, nor could my husband who is very handy. The project has transformed the room. It looks like it's been there all along.

The designer was new and not well trained. Her measurements were off on all three items and she failed to take into account space requirements for various features like top/bottom moldings and drawers. Thankfully the man who did the installation was excellent and was able to adjust the projects on the spot to make them fit/work in the spaces. He thought ahead to re-measure for the bookcase before he brought out all of the pre-cut pieces (since the first two items were wrong) and was able to have the pieces re-cut at the factory before coming back. It saved both of us a significant amount of time. We are very happy with the final products and were happy to recommend the company - just not the designer.

We met with Debbie Cantrell at the Closet by Design showroom in Manassas three weeks ago. She was very helpful in giving us ideas for our master bedroom walk-in closet. We emailed our closet dimensions to Debbie that same day. She arranged for a visit the following week. Debbie came prepared! She had a design worked out and while she was here she adjusted the design to achieve optimum utility for the space available. It was easy to see why Debbie is an award winning designer--her design for our closet was the best. The installers were also the best. They arrived on time, were very courteous and professional. Our closet met all of our expectations and more; we have more storage space than expected, the ironing borad is wonderful, and it feels like a furnished room, albeit a small one. Thank you Debbie for the great design work and Mateo and his associate for a well done installation!

We met with a designer a few weeks ahead of the installation. He was very professional and provided us with options at several price points. He quickly responded to all of our calls and emails after the initial consultation and worked with us to find a design that worked for our budget. The installation occurred about 10 days after we finalized the design. The installers called that morning and informed me that they would arrive in about 30 minutes, but didn't arrive for 90 minutes. Once they arrived, however, they did a good job. They laid down dropclothes and cleaned up well after completing the job. The installation took about 6 hours and everything went smoothly. The only minor issue is that they left a small screw-hole in the wall where they must have moved an anchoring bracket. It wasn't immediately noticeable and I was able to fill it with spackle. Overall, we were pleased with the job.

I was very pleased with their service and their price compared to the other two companies I interviewed. Nancy Hung, the closet designer, suggested what she thought would work for me after we discussed what I was interested in. She asked me if I had time for her to draw the design right then. If not, she would have sent a computer generated design to me by email. I had the time and much preferred her hand written design as it was clearer to me than the designs of the other two companies I received by email. The day of the work, they arrived on time and in a little over three hours the job was done. They removed the hardware that was currently in the closet, spackled the holes, and installed shelves, rods, and a laundry hamper. I had recently changed a light fixture and there were some holes left since the new light fixture was a different size than the old one. The workman asked me if I would like him to spackle those holes too. I thought that was so nice of him to offer since clearly that was not part of what he had to do. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely hire them again.

Very happy with new pantry! Original pantry was a small closet with 3 inefficient shelves. Jodi designed a functional layout that gives us plenty of room for organizing and storage. The installer did a great job - he was quick and neat. Love all the shelves, drawers and cubbys! Jodi also created a design for our master bedroom closet. Although that is not in the budget at this time, we will most likely contact Closets by Design to do the job. We will continue to recommend this company to family and friends.

We had a positive experience with Closets by Design two years ago and decided to use them again when we moved. Kathleen H. came to our home and measured all of the closets pantries in question and began coming up with designs after receiving input from us about what we were looking for in our closets and pantries. After returning with computerized drawings and pricing, Kathleen worked with us to design changes to fit our needs and our budget. An installation date was scheduled for two weeks after the design. The original installation was planned for two days due to the number and size of the closets. However, the installation crew was able to complete installation in a single, extended day. Overall, we are pleased with the custom closets and the additional flexibility and better space utilization they provide. On a side note, one of the buyers of our previous home commented at closing that the custom closets were a nice selling point that they liked.

The design gave me much more usable space than was previously available. The work was completed in about 4 hours. The materials were pre cut to the measurement the designer took. It gives a finished look to the closet. The installation crew arrived on time. They were very careful to put down coverings on the floors and carpet. They used large pieces of cardboard to place pieces of the system against the walls so not to damage them. The pieces of the closet system fit together like a giant puzzle. The work was very professionally done. I just wish I had a closet that was larger so I could have gotten and island with drawers.

The design/estimate phase was completed quickly with some neat ideas on how to handle the irregular layout of the walk-in closet and a narrow doorway. Jody (sp?) added an additional 5 feet of rack space to hang clothes with her design. Their estimate was also far less than similar companies using wall-based supports. I removed the old builder grade racks, repaired the drywall, and painted the closet well ahead of the scheduled install. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00070ENH4/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00 - I highly recommend the Collapsible Clothing Rack-Commercial Grade. This worked great to transfer clothing to other rooms or serve as temporary rack space. It folds down to fit under a bed when you are done. An installer completed the work in 4 hours with no issues. I plan to update our other closets soon as this added about 40% more storage in the same space with a neater appearance.

Jodi arrived on time and prepared. We discussed what I wanted from my closet space and my expectations of the space. She measured the closet, sketched a design and explained the design to me to confirm that was what I was thinking. She is quite knowledgeable about interior design and making the best of spaces. The installation went very smoothly. The design was exactly as Jodi had spec'd out. Limas brought in the tools and shelving as he needed. The installation was completed in about 5 hours. Limas put down needed dropcloths and vacuumed after he was done.

The estimator was very careful and thorough. He suggested we visit the showroom in Manassas to make sure we were getting what we wanted and to compare the quality of their product to the competition. We did so and that convinced us to go with them instead of the other companies who had given us lower bids for the work. The workmen arrived as scheduled and finished within two days as promised. We added one small Item, which they brought with them and installed the second day. Workmen were skilled, helpful and professional. Consulted with me frequently regarding placement of accessories and various details. Everything was cleaned up thoroughly. We are very happy with the result.

I called them and had someone come out. The took measurements, gave me a price, and they installed it in a timely manner. They were quick, clean and did a wonderful job.

I am very satisfied with them. Their efficiency is outstanding. I like their professionalism and I like the fact that they are very timely and I suppose that comes under efficiency. They are accountable and responsible. I will use them in the future.

Everything was great. They were informed arrived on time and gave a descriptive demonstration of the products.
