The overall process was smooth. Choices were adequate for our price range since this was a spur of the moment remodel due to a frozen/busted water pipe. The main crew was excellent. They were on time and did good work. The only reason for a B in the punctuality catagory is because the tile crew didn't make it on the scheduled day due to an unforseen problem that put the entire project behind. This was exacerbated by my work schedule since I only had a limited amount of time approved for leave. There were a couple of misunderstandings on my part and one problem reinstalling old appliances that caused a little stress. This ended in replacing a microwave but Hakan and his crew worked everything out to a satisfactory end. I will definitely look to them again if/when we ever do any bath remodels. Hopefully next time the time/money constraint won't be a factor as I'm sure they could work some creative wonders with more of both.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel to include cabinets, granite counter tops, drywall repair, paint, tile floor, and all demo.
I was very impressed with the speed and quality of the work. Even through harsh winter days workers showed up and stayed late to finish the work. We are very pleased with the finished room and would definitely hire this contractor again.
Description of Work: Installed drywall, applied paint, and install lighting and carpeting in basement.

Originally we went to a tile store in Manassas to search for tile for our intended kitchen backsplash. We found one that looked interesting and purchased a sample. We were given a list of potential contractors. I immediately checked all of them with Angie's List and found a few of them who were rated "A". As they were some distance away, I decided to check for some who were closer to our residence. I found Bull Run Kitchen and Bath which is located about a mile from us and is rated "A", as well. We went there and were greeted cordially by the proprietor. He showed us some other tile samples which we liked better than the one we had seen at the other establishment. He also gave us an estimate that was substantially lower than what we had expected. He immediately came to our home to make the measurements and show us how the samples we had chosen would look in our kitchen. He told us he could have the job done on either Saturday or the following Wednesday. As it worked out the job was done Wednesday, which was really more convenient for us. Carlos, the installer, arrived promptly and began the installation. He was very friendly and courteous and attentive to the work. He did a wonderful job and was very conscientious about not making a mess. Upon completion of the installation he did a very good job of cleaning up. Oh, I forgot to mention that before beginning to work, he laid down cloths to cover all our flooring so as not to dirty them. All cutting of materials with a saw was done outside to keep any mess to a minimum. We were very pleased with the work and will not hesitate to have some other future projects done by them. We are very happy that we were able to find such a service provider in our immediate area. We will recommend Bull Run Kitchen and Bath to anyone who has need of any services they provide.

So, I was looking for the right company to do my kitchen. Bull Run Kitchen and Bath was my third company I called to receive a quote. They (MO) came out immediately to give me an in-home quote. Mo was very professional and listened well to what my needs were for my kitchen remodel. Once Mo completed my in-home measurements, I went to their store (accommodated even though their store was closed) so I was able to pick out my designs. Mo answered any questions that I had and gave me great ideas for my kitchen. When all my design ideas were done, they scheduled the start date. They came promptly to our house on time and did the demolition of the kitchen. Any concerns during the entire remodel, they addressed promptly and efficiently. It took approximately 2 weeks to finish the kitchen remodel. Bull Run Kitchen and Bath did great on my kitchen remodel! I can't stop looking at my new wonderful kitchen! I definitely would and will use them again for any remodels in my home. Their prices are great and the professionalism they bring to the company is fantastic.
Description of Work: Bull Run Kitchen and Bath updated my entire kitchen from top to bottom.

Excellent!! After the first of the year, we decided to upgrade our powder room sink and counter top. We looked on line and found several bathroom designers, but none were very responsive to our request for estimates. We found Bull Run Kitchen/Bath Design at the Dulles Expo Center annual Home Show. I called on Monday and Hakan Boke, owner and designer, made an appointment to come to our home the next day for measurements. My wife and I liked him right away. He was both professional and personable. His visit was followed by our visit to his modern Manassas show room. After selecting the granite for the counter top, he displayed the sinks we were interested in on a wall-mounted screen from which we made our selection. The sink was ordered from the vendor with the click of a mouse. Less than two weeks later, the granite installers arrived and installed the counter top, and the plumber pulled into the driveway as they (the granite installers) were leaving. The entire operation took less than one hour. This is a vessel sink with a waterfall faucet. It is unique. The installation comes with a two year warranty. We are so pleased, we have decided to redo the hall and master bathrooms with new sinks and counter tops. These guys are good. One thing I like is Hakan is great to work, with and his installer crew is very professional. The price is very fair and there is no pressure when it comes to sink/counter top selection. They are are happy to do whatever it is you want to do. I think you will be very satisfied dealing with Bull Run Kitchen/Bath Design. I know we are. John Thompson Centreville, VA

We had some water damage in our home and had been working with another company to replace our entire main floor. The process was moving slowly as we were having a hard time deciding on tile for the entire main floor. We switched to Bull Run Kitchen and Bath and met with Hakan. He came to our house and made some sound recommendations, one of which was not to tile the entire floor but to replace the wood and do tile in the entry foyer and kitchen only. Following, we met at their location in Manassas and Hakan showed us a tile, pattern and wood which were all exactly what we had been looking for! The tile search was finally over! We scheduled a week for installation. Supplies showed up as scheduled and the crew arrived as planned. Once our flooring had been removed some additional damage was noted which they fixed and the project moved forward. The crew was dedicated and showed up every morning on time. They worked late hours towards the end of the project to get the work done in the time allotted. As the week progressed, if we found any flaws in the work done, the crew immediately went back and corrected the flaws without question. Upon completion of the project we sent Hakan a list with minor things we wanted looked at and corrected. Without hesitation Hakan had the crew come out and take care of all our concerns. We now have a beautiful main level floor in which we take great pride. We are glad Hakan came in and gave his professional opinion on wood vs. tile ratio in our home. It was also a great relief how Hakan managed to show us such a great combination of materials after all the time we had previously spent on searching for the right tile. We are very happy with the work done and the successful outcome. We always had a feeling that all would be taken care of while working with Hakan. We will definitely be contacting Hakan at Bull Run Kitchen and Bath for our next home improvement project and will highly recommend them!

We had our entire kitchen rebuilt and remodeled: floor, cabinets, backsplash, counters, drywall rework, painting, plumbing, electrical, and appliance installation. It took about 3 weeks to complete. The workers performed their work efficiently and carefully as well. They also worked on Saturday to keep the job on schedule. They put up barriers to prevent other parts of the house getting affected. They have various teams that specialize in their part of the work. The workers were trustworthy and reliable, and pleasant to interact with. If we noticed any corrections that needed to be made, they complied cheerfully and did their best to keep working at it to achieve the best quality. The owners made frequent visits to ensure the work was proceeding well and continued to give detailed guidance. We were able to speak with them on various ideas which they were able to give their expert advice since they have plenty of experience on things that work well and those that don?t work well. We are delighted with the new kitchen floor they installed, which looks even better in our actual kitchen than even the showroom. The style of cabinets we were able to choose now give a rich look to our new kitchen, and are not typically available from the usual competitors. They combine traditional elegance with modern features such as glass, lighting, sliding shelves, and soft-close drawers, etc. We had an unusual requirement to use the original granite countertops, instead of ordering new ones, although the new cabinets required the granite for some cutting and size modifications to fit the new layout. The granite installers did an excellent job. This helped keep down our cost. They also cooperated with us in keeping costs down by making use of all manufacturer cabinet sizes instead of having to order custom cabinets. When expanding our old 27-inch double-oven to the new 30-inch double-oven, I was surprised to see how the cabinet installers were able to modify the tall cabinet to get the 30-inch to fit nicely. The end result has been a high quality kitchen within an affordable price and understanding and responsive owners and workers. Hakan and Mo were knowledgeable, performed the work with seriousness, and pleasant to interact with. I recommend them to anyone planning a kitchen remodel.

Everything went well and we love our new kitchen! The designer helped us make good choices and design a functional and beautiful kitchen. I had a lot of ideas that I wanted to do including adding the mud room. He listened to me and provided valuable input when necessary. He also helped my husband and I come to agreement on colors and styles which isn't easy. Once we got the design completed and job started on time and went very smoothly. Hakan stopped by frequently to make sure the job was going well and to make sure that we were happy. Juan and his crew as well as the electricians and tile crew were very pleasant and professional and they did a great job. One cabinet when installed was cracked, but they ordered another one from the manufacturer and replaced it as soon as it came in. The job took a little over 4 weeks, but the last week and 1/2 was my fault since I couldn't decide on a backsplash. When I finally did, it was delivered on 12/22/14. Hakan had scheduled his tile crew to be at my house on 12/23/14. They installed the backsplash in time for Christmas eve. It was great to have my kitchen done before the Holidays! We are planning to have Bull Run renovate our 1/2 bath now and have recommended them to a neighbor who is going to have Bull Run renovate their kitchen.

Work started on time and took about 25 days of calendar time, only a few days longer than the original estimate. We removed all the small items from the cabinets and other furniture that had to be moved for the flooring work. BRKP moved all the furniture as required. Work then started with removal of existing flooring, cabinets, counters, soffits, and 3 windows. During demo we discovered that the original flooring had been improperly glued down and 5 or 6 of the plywood subflooring sheets had to be replaced, which BRKB did without any additional charge. Also we found two vent stacks improperly routed through the soffit and the sink waste pipe had to be recessed into the wall. BRKB rerouted them without extra charge. Demo debris was removed usually by the next day, sometimes 2 days, but it never longer. Workers generally arrived between 8-9am and stayed to 5-6pm, Monday - Saturday. Somedays the workday was shorter, like when waiting for polyurethane floor finish to dry or materials to arrive. The workpace slowed during the last week as the trades people moved off to the next job. We lived in the house on another level while the project was in process. This helped move things along when the workers had questions about what we wanted. All the trades people were very polite and professional. We used a separate painting contractor to paint the kitchen (and several other rooms), so I can't comment on BRKB's painters Result is beautiful and we are very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of kitchen and install new oak flooring in kitchen in 2 other rooms. Kitchen upgraded to granite counters and new cabinets with self closing drawers HW. Also replaced three windows in the kitchen bay so we could put a new counter in that space. Included electric work to add 6 new ceiling fixtures, move wiring as a part of removing walls.

We had originally called Bull Run K&B to come out to give us an estimate on remodeling everything in our kitchen? except for the cabinets and the countertops (demo, installation, flooring, lighting, backsplash, etc.). We had already picked out cabinets and countertops that we loved with another supplier, but their installation and remodeling costs were just too high. Hakan immediately came out for the estimate and after discussing what I wanted to have done, he said that they could do just what we asked, but he also asked if we were willing to give him a shot at winning the whole job by coming to his showroom and seeing what they could offer in cabinets and countertops as well. He even opened the store on Sunday so that both my husband and I could make it. Once we were there, we found cabinets that were similar (although now that I think of it?much more beautiful) and the very same quartz that we fell in love with at the other supplier. Several hours later?we had picked out everything from flooring to lighting to the sink and the faucet. Since we already came in the door with a completed design, Hakan and Mo were able to quickly work up an estimate with all of our selections while we waited. And much to our surprise, the estimate was very much in line with what we wanted to spend and many thousands less than we were quoted by the other supplier. He also said that they could be done in two weeks, which was at least one week less than the other supplier had estimated. We signed the contract with Bull Run K&B very soon after that and work began just about 3 weeks later. Within the promised 2 weeks, we had our beautiful new kitchen (my first one ever!) and even though we changed some of our original materials, added some minor requests, and discovered after demolition some structural issues that would alter the design, Bull Run K&B still stuck to their original estimates. A beautiful kitchen?on time and on budget?can?t ask for anything more! Hakan and Mo were very easy to work with, understood what we were trying to accomplish and offered suggestions without being pushy. They were very responsive when we had questions and even stopped by more than they planned to address our concerns. This was our first major remodel and I?m sure we drove them crazy with our questions! The installers, electricians, and painters were all very courteous and respectful of both our time and our house, tried to keep disruptions and inconveniences to a minimum, and to clean up as much as possible before they left each day. We have several bathrooms in our house that we will be looking to remodel over the next couple of years and Bull Run K&B will definitely be our first call!

The project started by setting up an appointment with Bull Run Kitchen & Bath to come to my condo unit to take rough measurements and draft a scope of work. The representative arrived on time. At the site visit, I set up an appointment to stop by the showroom. While there, the representative (Tracy), walked me through the various finish options and helped me coordinate the colors. We also selected faucets, lights and towel rings from partnering companies internet sites. There may be a premium for this type of set-up, but I left knowing that day all of the material was coordinated and taken care of. 1. My first impression was of the work crew arriving on time and installing plastic protection on the carpet and draping additional protection on nearby furniture. The crew also came with a shop vac to help control the dust from the construction work. 2. As I only have one bathroom, Bull Run worked with my schedule so that I only needed to spend 2 nights out of my place. Otherwise, I lived through the renovation. Obviously, this scenario may have made the process less efficient, but the bulk of work was still completed within a 2 to 3-week period. (Unfortunately, there were also some bad weather delays). 3. I put a keybox on my door to allow access for most of the construction period. I did not worry about any of my devices taken or damaged. 4. The project manager, Hakan, would periodically stop by the project site and was responsive to emails. 5. The crew effectively coordinated with the on-site property manager to draindown the entire building my unit is in so that the individual water shutoff valve could be replaced. (There have been incidents of water damage in the same building as the coordination did not go as smoothly. My unit is in an apartment style condo). 6. The project is completed. Bull Run responded to correct my small punchlist. I am only waiting for the warranty paperwork to be forwarded. 7. Bull Run had shop truck make deliveries and haul away all construction debris off-site. (There have been issues of other renovation projects at this condo site where contractors have dumped material at our dumpsters). Note: I only rated the price as 'good' since I have not had much experience with bathroom or kitchen renovations and have not had a history of seeing those types of quotes. During the process, though, you do see the price quotes for the lights, towel rings, so you do have some basis of how to evaluate the quote. Additionally, there is a value to having a showroom, company vehicles, and stable installation crews.
Description of Work: The provider renovated a bathroom that is approximately 70 square feet. This area included an adjoining space that included the hot-water heater and stacked washer-dryer. (No major plumbing relocating work was involved). The work involved the following: 1. At bath area: install new bathtub, shower head, faucet, tub to ceiling ceramic shower surround, recessed vapor light at shower, and convert multiple water controls to one new single control. Appropriate cement board was installed in shower area. The original construction seemed to lack this. A curved shower rod, wall niche, and robe hook were installed at this area. 2. At vanity: a new vanity that was selected from the showroom and granite counter-top were installed. In addition, a new vanity light, mirror, sink and faucet were also installed. A towel ring and behind the door towel hook were installed. 3. Remaining construction: As I requested to have the opening between the bathroom and utility areas enlarged, I made the determination to treat the space as one room. Therefore, I had the existing floor tile removed and new ceramic tile from Spain installed to give it a unifying look. Further work involved the replacing of a toilet, hot water heater and the replacement of a water shutoff valve for my condo unit. I also had the provider relocate and upgrade the light that was in the previous utility only area. The area was finished off by installing new baseboard and painting the walls, ceiling and trim. A marble transition piece at the hallway threshold was also installed.

We are thrilled with the kitchenette/wet-bar that Bull Run just finished in our basement rental unit! Time was of the essence for us for this project, and they exceeded all of our expectations in terms of getting the project done quickly AND with high quality! We met with Tracy early in the month to get a quote, and the project started within 1 week of signing the contract. Hakan, the project manager, was wonderful to work with. He was responsive to our questions, easy to reach, and quick to respond. He was also very patient with me, as I was a little over my head with some of the decisions, but he took the time to explain things to me so I felt confident in making decisions for the project. The rest of the crew was courteous and respectful of our home while they were here. I was very impressed at how clean they left the basement every evening - the crew vacuumed and tidied up each evening before leaving. We felt very confident that the initial quote we received was very accurate, as we went into their showroom to select the cabinets, granite, flooring, and all other materials prior to receiving the final quote. This was one of the deciding factors that helped us to decide to use Bull Run Kitchen & Bath, because we knew exactly the quality of all the materials, and felt confident there would be no "hidden charges" or price changes once the project began. The project stayed on budget and on time, which made this whole process quite painless! The quality of the work is fantastic! We will absolutely use Bull Run Kitchen & Bath for future projects, and we highly recommend them!

The Store Visit: Great store visit. Tracy was thorough and spent sufficient time with us to make sure we had the right granite (great selection by the way), cabinet, toilet, tile and fixtures. As I mentioned previously, Tracey is an expert at 60/70?s era Manassas homes and understands limitations. One element of the store visit I found most useful was projecting remodeling data on the flat screen behind Tracey?s desk ? made it much easier to select desired bathroom elements. The store showroom provides all you?ll need in terms of bathroom models, fixtures, tile and granite. I like it because it is not overly complex and doesn?t overwhelm the user. The project: The crew, led by Carlos and managed by Mo, was exceptionally careful during prep and ensured floors were covered and home security maintained. Carlos and his assistant were on time and were able to complete demolition in one day despite the cramped space. Needless to say we were thrilled. Carlos skillfully removed old studs in the bath and closet along with the old poured base in the bath. I know how hard that is having done it once myself. Each day the home was meticulously cleaned. Both Carlos and his assistant made sure to block off areas where he was sanding/painting/raising dust. Once demo was complete, Carlos and his assistant laid the tile ? a very fine job. We love the new expanded shower and tile now goes all the way to the ceiling. We also like the shower head which is now mounted on a slider. The toilet is now sitting level on the floor which is great and we have a beautiful, user friendly sink and bathroom cabinet. We had a couple ?takes? on the cabinet since the first, which we selected, was a little large. Hakan and Tracy made this right and we can now enjoy a cabinet which actually holds our supplies and looks stylish. Overall, the new bath is light years ahead of the old; brighter in appearance and much more comfortable. Secondly, the team overhauled the hallway closet which was reduced in width by less than one foot (better than expected). The interior of the closet is fantastic and you?d never know any work was done to the wall or the closet interior. The team also had to re-size the existing doors and didn?t leave it to me ? again much appreciated. The contract: VERY easy to navigate. I like the checklist style which allowed me to track progress and ensure that work was completed on time. In fact, the entire contract was on 1.5 pages ? really like that ? no hidden clauses, etc. Big plus in my book. Review: I would hire them again and would recommend them if you have a small ?Sudley-style? master bath in need of renovation. This project was much harder than it looked but Tracey, Hakan, Mo and Carlos tackled it with aplomb. Each was readily available via cel phone and kept me apprised of issues at all times (i.e. reject of cracked granite). Each was flexible and most importantly, kept his word and was considerate of our home and time. They can be trusted in your home and will provide individualized service such as you might expect at a traditional neighborhood establishment (e.g. the local hardware store).
Description of Work: The Estimate: We have a 1969 detached home in Sudley and are in the process of gradually remodeling it. Since 2006 we have engaged several contractors on various projects and requested estimates for windows, siding, roofing, gutters, bathrooms and kitchen upgrades. This was an excellent experience. We visited the Bull Run Kitchen and Bath office and viewed the models. Tracey gave us plenty of time to look around and made sure to answer any questions we had. He then ran through a checklist with us to reconcile our desires with our budget. We immediately felt comfortable with Tracey as he is quite familiar with our style of home, having grown up in the local area. These homes are well built but have small bathroom spaces, particularly off the master bed room and therefore are exceptionally challenging to upgrade. Our desire was to enlarge the existing shower by one foot by removing space from the hallway closet. We also wanted to completely re-tile the shower, floor; remove cabinetry and get a new toilet. Having remodeled our hallway bathroom previously, I realized what a task this would be, especially with regard to demolition. Tracey gathered the data and let us know he’d provide a written estimate via email within the week following a visit to the prospective job site to measure and assess “do-ability”. I was very appreciative of the “no-pressure whatsoever” sales approach. Since my job hours vary considerably, Tracey and Hakan came outside their normal work hours to finish the measurements and job estimate. I was impressed by their diligence; ensuring that the closet could be reduced without damaging existing plumbing, electric or structure. To say the least they were very careful. Following completion, I accepted the estimate of $12,000.

January 5, 2015 Bull Run Kitchen & Bath Design Review The Estimate We recently decided to remodel our 12 year old kitchen and family room. We have an open floor plan which includes both areas. I called several companies. Bull Run responded the immediately and was at our home the next day. We discussed our budget and they informed me that they had a 3-tiered plan that varied in price. Hakan Boke, the project manager, arrived at our home at the agreed upon appointment time (not 15 minutes or one- hour late). This was very important to us. We have had many professionals and handymen keep us waiting for hours (as if we have nothing to do all day). He was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and honest. He listened to what we wanted; never trying to push products or appliances on us. He seemed to share our excitement in upgrading our home. He took measurements; and we scheduled an appointment to meet at his store the next day. I still solicited 4 other estimates; and 2 companies never responded to my messages. No other company could match the price I received from Bull Run (even with the upgrades I made after the estimate). Store Visit The visit to the office was more than I could have expected. I knew I wanted white cabinets and dark granite; but beyond that I was not sure. I was especially lost on backsplash. Hakan showed me cabinets and granite that were within my price range so that I would not exceed my budget of $15,000.00. The store was set up with every cabinet they offered. They had flooring that could be placed on the floor below the cabinets. I selected our existing floor. The granite samples were interchangeable and could be placed on any cabinet on display. I matched the granite and cabinet to our existing floor type and color. Next, we selected the backsplash. The samples slid right over the granite against the walls. It was very easy to visualize how our kitchen would look when completed. The next task was to select under-cabinet lighting. Our existing lights were out-dated and dangerous (as I found out later). They would get so hot that we could feel the heat on our counters. The lighting happened to be above the most beautiful black & white marbled granite counter top I have ever seen. Hakan attempted to divert me from this granite as it was not in my budget. He let me know several times that I would exceed my budget if I selected this granite. He quoted me a price for the upgrade and left the decision to me. Bull Run also has a variety of sinks and faucets in the store. I love ?one-stop? shopping. After one trip to the store we were done and I had a good idea about how our new kitchen would look. As part of the contract, Bull Run agreed to paint the kitchen and family room (ceilings, walls, fireplace, doors, and all trim). We have a large alcove above the fireplace in the family room which holds a TV set. We were no longer using it and we wanted it covered with a mirror. Not an easy task as the hole measures 60? x 48?. It was added to the contract at no extra cost; and framed after installation. It is beautiful! There was never any pressure to upgrade. I did, however, upgrade the granite and backsplash. Hakan had his staff custom design the tile above the kitchen sink at no extra cost. We signed the contract and within 2 weeks the work started. The Contract After we agreed on all aspects of this project, it was time to sign the contract. It was straight-forward with no hidden clauses. We knew when we were to make payments. We knew the exact amount of each payment and he also let us know how to save 3% on the project. The Project Bull Run Kitchen & Bath have their own crews and they do not sub-contract their work (another facet of their ?one-stop shopping). We needed the project to be completed before Thanksgiving. From start to finish the project was completed in 2 weeks. The cabinets and countertops went first. They gently removed the existing cabinets so that we could donate them to Habitat for Humanity. The work crew had the upmost respect for our home. They covered our hardwood floors and removed their shoes when working inside. They were polite, hardworking, and only took breaks for lunch. They let us know their start time each day. When they left in the evening their work area was immaculate. We tried to stay out of their way. They were very tolerant of us and our 2 yorkies. Small dogs can be annoying. I was very impressed that we got to personally select our slab of granite. We made a trip to Chantilly and they ?tagged? the granite of our choice. The day the granite was to be installed we received a call from Hakan. The employee transporting the granite noticed a hairline crack on the backside of the slab, and refused to accept it. Talk about honest! They could have installed that granite and we would never have noticed it. We made a 2nd trip to Chantilly to select another piece of granite. We did not like any other slabs with a similar design. That was no problem. We were sent to a nearby granite company where we found a more beautiful slab of marbled granite. Hakan went ?above and beyond? to make sure we were happy. We changed a couple some things along the way during the kitchen project, and the crew met our expectations without complaining. No job is without small problems. If something needed tweaking; it was tweaked. Hakan and his associate, Mesfin, checked in every few days to ensure that their staff was meeting our expectations and we were happy. Both gentlemen were very easy to work with. Hakan is a very upbeat and personable guy with a great sense of humor. Just having him around made the little inconveniences bearable (after all, we were without water in the kitchen for a few days). Mesfin is more reserved, but also personable and accommodating. Review Would I hire this company again? With a doubt!! My family, neighbors, and friends have seen our remodeling job and absolutely love it. Our house has graduated from a tired 1990?s look to a modern 2014 look. We have had so many compliments and I attribute it to Bull Run Kitchen & Bath. I have respect for their workmanship, their honesty, their talent, and their ability to get the job done. Their interpersonal skills put them at the top of their class with their customers. I would recommend them to my family, my friends, and anyone who would approach me about remodeling. By Bonnie Camp

We are very pleased with our kitchen remodel that Bull Run Kitchen and Bath did for us! I found their business through a flyer in the mail and my husband and I visited their store back in October. We immediately felt comfortable with the team there in the store and they were able to set up a free estimate in our home when we were available. Within a few days, we were emailed a design that we didn't have to change much because Hakan and his team incorporated all of our wishes into the design. They even added some features and space saving ideas that we had not thought of. We made one more trip to their store to pick out the floor tile, cabinets, backsplash and countertops and then were scheduled for the remodel at our convenience. We were thrilled that this total kitchen remodel would be done under our budget and under what other companies had quoted us. Hakan said the kitchen would be done in two weeks just in time for Christmas. It was done in exactly that time. The crew was very professional and they worked on the weekends to complete the remodel. I was nervous with the timeline because I have two small kids and I've heard horror stories with remodels taking longer than expected but Hakan reassured me that everything would be done to our satisfaction. Throughout the remodel I was able to check in with Hakan everyday to talk about my concerns and the schedule of getting things done. They were never too busy to take my call and answer my questions. His team also helped me out when I could not be home for appliance delivery and inspected and accepted them on my behalf. The floor tile, cabinets, granite countertops and backsplash are so beautiful and of great quality. There is no doubt this kitchen renovation has increased the value of our home. All of my friends, neighbors and family that have visited the house over the holidays are just amazed at how beautiful our kitchen looks. I will definitely use Bull Run Kitchen and Bath in the future and I highly recommend them.

We contacted Bull Run Kitchen and Bath after receiving an advertisement in the mail. Hakan met with us at our home to discuss our requirements and he worked closely with us every step of the way during the project. We met Hakan at the showroom in Manassas to select the materials including tile, real wood vanity, wood cabinet over toilet, rustproof mirrored medicine cabinet, fixtures, teak shower seat, comfort height toilets, slow close toilet seats, etc. Hakan was very patient and professional and provided us with many ideas and suggestions. After several hours, we finally had everything selected for the two bathrooms. The project was started a couple of weeks after signing the contract. Hakan closely oversaw the project and aimed for excellence. Bull Run uses their own crews (no subcontractors). Once the crew started, they came back on every scheduled day until the job was complete. We appreciated their attention to detail on the complex tiling, painting, and installation of all materials. They asked us for our preference on everything from placement of shower niches/shelves and layout of the tile to location of mirrors, wall outlets, grab bar placement, and teak folding shower seat placement. They completed the master bathroom and before beginning the guest bathroom to avoid inconvenience to us during the work. They tried to limit the dust and disruption and always cleaned up at the end of each day. The crew were very polite and responsive to our feedback throughout the project. Bull Run Kitchen & Bath did an outstanding job from start to finish. We are completely satisfied with our two new bathrooms. We would recommend Bull Run Kitchen & Bath to homeowners looking for high quality bathroom updates to their homes.

We had to move suddenly, but it was clear that we had to do something with the kitchen within a short amount of time before moving-in. When we did a query for estimates, we had six responses. Two of the estimates came from good companies, but the cost would be two to three times what we were willing to pay. A cabinet re-facing estimate would cost much more than a new kitchen, another person seemed unable to clearly explain what he would do and unclear about start and end time. Another did not seem to have any experience. Reason for choosing Bull Run? When Mo came for the estimate, he came on time and he was professional but soft spoken. He asked if I had any specific plans in mind. My response was ?I want a functioning kitchen that will give me as much cabinet space as possible?. As he tried to ask more questions I responded ?You are the professional, I would like to hear your recommendations?. Well he did just that! After taking some measurements, he started talking and gave me detailed recommendations on how to maximize on the cabinet space by using a larger cabinet over the refrigerator; he offered two Lazy Susans and a decorative wall cabinet with beveled glass fronts. He also gave me the option to get a bigger refrigerator. Within 24 hrs of the home visit, I received the 3-D drawing of what my new kitchen would look like and a written estimate was provided. I requested the addition of a peninsula that I forgot to mention, he was able to add it. Our next step was an appointment at the showroom to review cabinet style, color, back splash and floor tiles. Both Mo and Hakan were courteous, patient and helpful as we made our selections. The great showroom with so many kitchen models to look at gave me lots of ideas. I requested the addition of a spice cabinet and soap dispenser which they were able to add without any problem. Once we were done, we were able to set up a start date and completion date. They delivered the cabinets and tiles for the job and disposed of all trash and old materials. The job was started on time and completed on time. Within two weeks I was able to have a completely new kitchen that I am very happy with. I call Mo with any questions or concerns, he is quick to respond and resolve any of my concerns. In my opinion, these guys are the best of the best. All of their staff who came to do their part during this project was specialized in what they do. My kitchen was completed on time and at a fair price. I will gladly recommend them to my friends.

Working with Bull Run Kitech was fantastic. They were accomodating on every aspect of the schedule - the estimate, the design, the installation. And for a busy family, they were perfectly on time every time. We agreed on a schedule, and they showed up ready to go at the time, which minimized how long the work took. Additionally, they did fantastic work. They let us pick the materials, but helped greatly in the design - I liked that they use their expertise to advise, but don't pressure you into specific materials or designs. We were upfront that we were making specific upgrades to enhance the home for sale in the near future, and they advised us on what to keep (cabinets) and what to upgrade - no heavy pitch on a full gut and rebuild. This $3800 added at least $5k to the sale price, or at least cut a month off the market time. The final product was beautiful. The kitchen looks incredible, and as we are hosting numerous holiday events, the fact that they designed and completed the work in such a timely matter was awesome.

When my wife and I first began the process of remodel our bathroom, the job seemed absolutely daunting. How in the world would we be able to get all the tile, cabinets, knobs, etc. coordinated? We went to several contractors and after our meetings we both still felt confused. All that changed 5 minutes after meeting the owner of Bull Run Kitchen and Bath. Hakan Boke, the company owner, walked us through the entire process, from picking out the cabinet type and color to coordinating the shower and bathroom tile with the granite counter-top to picking out the type and color of cabinet knobs and handles. His showroom displayed beautiful examples of remodeled bathrooms and it was a simple matter of choosing from the samples. Hakan went out of his way to answer all our questions and to accommodate our schedule. Because all the various personnel work for him (painters, carpenters, dry-wallers, plumbers, glass shower door folks, granite installers, etc.) he was able to schedule all the work in an efficient manner. Well into the work I asked him if he would paint the master bedroom and closet, thinking he'd come back months after the master bathroom was completed to do the job. To my surprise, he arranged for the painting to be completed within the schedule for the master bathroom. During the shower demolition, the plumber noticed the wood under the shower floor had water damage. Instead of covering up the damage and continuing, the plumber notified Hakan. Hakan told him to replace the entire shower floor area. This additional labor/parts cost me nothing. Hakan's all about quality and customer satisfaction. Hakan visited our home every day during the project to ensure we were happy with the progress. Any issues--very few--were fixed to our satisfaction quickly. He also guarantees his work for 2 years. The project was completed on schedule and on cost. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the remodeling job and highly recommend Bull Run Kitchen and Bath! COLONEL (Ret) Michael W. Rogers USA

My wife and I contacted several kitchen remodelers in the local area and found Bull Run Kitchen and Bath to be both the most responsive and the most affordable. Our estimator/designer, Tracy, was very courteous and eager to ensure that we got things correct up-front so there would be no surprises. It took my wife and I a few weeks to settle on a design and during that time we made several changes and Tracy was able to react both efficiently and rapidly, always letting us know if we were straying beyond our budget. We finally signed the contract on a Friday and the work began on the following Monday. The foreman, Hakan, who supervised all work accomplished was friendly and incredibly professional. I was particularly impressed with his attention to detail. He responded to our every request and worked around our schedule with absolutely no resultant issues. He made sure that every detail was accomplished properly and followed-up to ensure that even the smallest detail was completed satisfactorily. We've had a lot of major work done over the years and this was one of the largest projects we have attempted; it is also the most successful. A short word about the workmen who did the actual demolition, installation, and follow-up. They were both efficient and highly capable and their response to our many requests was always friendly and helpful. When we asked for the impossible they would explain why the request couldn't work and then frequently showed us other ways to accomplish what we wanted. I'm certain that they saved us many long-term headaches. The BOTTOM LINE is we are extremely pleased with our new kitchen and can't wait to show it off at Thanksgiving. Our thanks to Tracy, Hakan, and the work crew for a job extremely well done!

We'd put the remodeling of our bathroom as long as we dared. But, it's condition did-n't improve any with time! Finally, after many consultations with contractor after contractor, my wife found Bull Run Kitchen and Bath in a Google search, noting that they're on Angie's list, which we've subsequently joined. Mr. Tracy Roach, their representative, came to our home punctually on the agreed upon date, and we proceeded to show him the "lay of the land." After listening carefully, and with great sensitivity, to our ideas as to what we thought we wanted to accomplish, he made EXCELLENT suggestions of his own! A date was then arranged for our visit to their Herndon showroom. In almost no time, we had inspected the prospective materials that Bull Run woulduse, and had an estimate drawn up. It occurred to us that, for a great deal LESS than what other prospective contractors would charge, Bull Run proposed a bathroom remodel with SUPERIOR materials and craftsmanship! So far, so good. But remodeling was one thing. Getting it done, in a home full of antiques and delicate brick-a-brack, was quite another! And we approached the impending project with not a little dread and misapprehension. We need-n't have worried. The work crew arrived punctually on the agreed-upon date, were absolutely professional and courteous throughout the remodel project, and took EXTREME pains to contain all the dust and detritus of the work area! Best part was, they took obvious and great pride in their work. An increasingly rare quality in this day and time! In just a few days, the old bathroom was torn out (That was an improvement already!), and that which replaced it: OH MY!! The new sink vanity is of solid wood. The granite top is IMPRESSIVE, the chrome fixtures are magnificent, the imported Italian tile work is beautiful; and did I mention the drawers of the sink vanity? Open them up, and one finds DOVETAILING! For two who appreciate old-fashioned craftsmanship, my wife and I were both impressed and pleased with this! Result: We now have a bathroom we can be proud of! Many thanks to the magnificent people at Bull Run Kitchen and Bath for their SUPERLATIVE work, all accomplished on-budget, and at very reasonable cost indeed! The only additional costs were those we added on ourselves, as we went along, making some additional requests, and they only added on a few dollars of the total. Now it's YOUR turn. I know you're approaching your prospective remodel with no less a spirit of apprehensiveness than we did! But do yourselves a favor: Contact the folks at Bull run, talk to their representative and visit their showroom. Once there, examine for yourselves the SUPERIOR quality of the materials they use, and arrange your prospective remodeling project. Then, take a deep breath, and tell yourself that the "only thing to fear is fear itself!" Our ONLY honest regret we have: Having postponed this for so long. DON'T do that! Too many of us put these projects off until we're preparing to move. Why not have it done now, and enjoy it for yourselves? Go ahead! I won't accuse you of being selfish.

We could not be happier!!! We had been talking about and planning a kitchen remodel for years. Our old kitchen was old, dark and non-functional. My sister-in-law had renovated her kitchen with Bull Run, and highly recommended them. Just to cover our bases, we wanted to get three bids. Several companies didn't even bother to call us back. One company came out and the rep kept talking about how the minimum price was $25K and it would probably go up from there. Bull Run replied right away and scheduled an appointment to come out and measure within a few days. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and had lots of great ideas about how to configure the space. I was a little put off that the bid we received was not itemized. However, another company have us an itemized bid which was about the same price, but didn't include as many "bells and whistles" at Bull Run had offered. We visited the showroom and picked out cabinets, countertops, flooring and backsplash. After a couple of days, I changed my mind and went with the white cabinets I had always wanted. No problem. Then, we decided to wait and choose backsplash tile after the cabinets and countertops had been installed. Everything was ordered, and the work began in less than two weeks. They took down a knee wall, and removed an unnecessary partial wall to maximize counter space. The workers put up plastic to protect the rest of the house, and hauled all trash away each day. The project went very quickly and smoothly. We chose our own backsplash from a source outside their showroom, and they picked it up and installed it with no problem. There was a minor delay caused from a cabinet that arrived cracked. They re-ordered the cabinet and installed it as soon as it arrived. When everything was complete, I had a bright, beautiful kitchen!!! I absolutely love the cabinets and flooring, and how everything works so well together. The owner even requested photos because he liked the way it looks so much. I highly recommend Bull Run Kitchen and Bath! They do wonderful work, and give top notch customer service. If you want to get additional bids, go ahead. But, chances are, you will hire this company anyway. We did!
