Blue Isle Granite & Tile

They were the 2nd company I went with and wish I had known about them from the beginning. Everything went smoothly and end result was fabulous.

This was our first experience having granite countertops installed. It could not of gone better. Found Blue Isle Granite and Tile on Angie's. Very pleased from the first contact until the job was finished. All of the communications were very professional and the installation went excellent. We picked out a custom sink that we wanted installed. Other companies wanted extra to install the sink but Blue Isle did not. I was worried that the installation would cause a lot of dust in the house but the team ran a vacuum several times during the day. They also clean up the floors before they left. Here are a couple of tips if you are going to do this type of job. 1. Get a new sink, faucet, and a new disposal. This really made the job go a lot easier. 2. Take out all the drawers and all the items inside each cabinet. We clean the inside of the cabinets before putting everything back and also did a little spring cleaning while we were at it.

Blue Isle is the fabricator that our contractor mostly uses. We were using extremely expensive granite and wanted it handled with lovely care in experienced hands. We got two quotes,; Blue Isle was more competitive and we hoped we would not be sacrificing quality. We got both quality and a good price. The job that Ike, the owner and his assistants did was great. The granite's design presented a challenge in getting the pieces to flow from one to another and they did that quite well. The stone was well installed. We are more than happy with the job that was done and would use them again in a heart beat.

AMAZING!!!!! I could not be more satisfied. From the moment i contacted Tamara, she was attentive and bent over backwards to accomodate our schedule. Ike came out to measure, and discuss the project. We then went to their facility to discuss what part of the slabs to use and potential lay out. They were open to us being involved in this selection process which was important to us. When they came back a week later to install, there was a slight problem with one of the sections because of OUR walls being out of square. They tried to make it work..but in the end Ike was not happy with the gap at the joint and before i said a word he told me that he could not leave it that way and that he wanted to trace an exact template and re-do that section. His attention to detail and his desire to produce quality work is what i feel sets Blue Isle Granite and Tile in an elite class above others just wanting to finish a job and move on. He also made the job a bit more difficult for themselves by keeping the entire job to just one joint, (they installed over 65')creating large heavy pieces instead of smaller pieces which would have been easier to manage. In the end we received a top quality, beautiful install at a very competitive price. I whole heartedly recommend them for any granite install.

I was very very impressed with the follow up. From the contact to the installation I received regular communication and since we did our own kitchen remodel Ike was great in explaining what we needed to do to ensure that we had a level surface to install the countertops. Even the subcontracted plumbing service was very good. I would definitely use Blue Isle Granite and Tile again in the future.

Tamara was responsive, replied to countless emails and phone calls, all within a very short time frame. Estimates were reasonably accurate and timely, and provided ample opportunity to tweak the the project before committing to the contract. In the end, Ike did an exceptional job with measuring and carefully installing the three counter tops (42" seating counter, preparation area, back bar top) and all the back splashes, and installing the sink. The finished product looks terrific!

We researched a lot of options with 5 vendors, 3 of whom we found in Angie's List. We built a spreadsheet to compare each regarding price of each type of stone per sq. ft., sealant cost and warranty, installation cost, edging cost per inch by type, cost of a new sink, plumbing, removal of old countertop, and ratings from customers. This education was a good investment. After meeting with each vendor, we realized why Blue Isle has the top rating on Angie's List. Tamara and Ike know how to make customers feel like you are the only client they have, and make sure you are happy with each step, and with zero pressure. There is a huge difference in vendors. In our case, we chose Blue Isle because of the level of personal attention to detail, honesty, flexibility, quality, and of course price. Across vendors, the price of the stone and installation does not vary much but rather in the cost of edging, new sink, and services. Pay close attention to these, and what is and is not included in each vendor's estimate. Over several weeks of research, we changed our mind about the stone color and edging a few times. Blue Isle stayed on schedule, making even a couple of last minute changes on the installation date. They even came back late that evening to make sure it was 100% complete on the promised date and on budget. The result is beautiful -- way better than our original plan, yet I believe the price was at least $500 less than the competition.

If you are planning to replace countertops in your home, do yourself a favor and call Tamara and Ike at Blue Isle Granite and Tile. Tamara and Ike will do everything possible to find you the perfect piece of granite at a very competitive price and within your project's time frame. Ike will bring samples to you home, Tamara will email pictures of available granite from distributor's warehouses, They timely return all phone calls and emails. They do excellent work at a great price and I will absolutely use them for my next project.

Everything was installed correctly, but shape of the island countertop was oblong at one end, instead of circular, which was wrong. When I asked why the end of the island was not circular but oblong, I was told that the island countertop was shaped like the original one. However, the original countertop was circular at one end. There was no recheck by the owner after I questioned it; in other words, he was right about the shape and I was wrong. However, upon checking the original countertop, I found it was circular and not oblong. But it was too late

Blue Isle is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. Tamara is great, she is responsive and keeps you informed, returns your calls and e-mails quickly. I had originally chosen silestone instead of granite but after Ike did the measurements he recommended that I might like to use granite because of silestone not being large enough to place the seam away from the sink. When Blue Isle tells you a time that they will be there you can be assured they wil be on time. If I have more work to be done they most certainly will be the ones I will call. To say I love their work would be a understatement.

I scheduled an initial visit, but ended up having to reschedule and Tammy was very accommodating with the reschedule. Then today, right on time and with a great personality we meet Ike and his assistant. My husband is very difficult to impress, and yet Ike was able to do it. After looking at the issue he took his time to explain the fix and after discussion we decided we would wait awhile longer. There was no pushy sales gimmicks. Then I asked if they (Ike and his assistant) would like some coffee, both accepted. So as we drank coffee my husband began asking questions about the other types of work that Ike's company performs and before you know it, my husband has finally come around d to my way of thinking and we are now discussing replacing the granite in our kitchen. Also, he discussed the care and maintenance for our granite, suggesting products that can be purchased at Home Depot (not some expensive shop brand). Overall, we had a great experience. So when asked the question - would we recommend Blue Isle Granite - our answer is yes! Based on prior reviews and our experience today - which seems to align with most others who have reviewed the company. We have found our new countertop company.

I checked with other companies and did not receive the customer service or professionalism that I received with Blue Isle Granite and Tile.

After reaching out to three companies via Angie's List, Blue Isle was the only company who called back (not good for the other companies). My wife and I had no clue what we wanted and Ike was very patient with helping us select some granite that we liked so we could get an initial estimate. Ike does a VERY detailed measurement job and walked us through the process which could not have been easier. Upon finding out their prices were very competitive, we scheduled a visit to one of their showrooms where we were able to pick out the granite we liked. Once we decided what we wanted, we hired Blue Isle. From start to finish, they showed great professionalism and my wife and I could not be happier with the final product. I would strongly recommend Blue Isle to anyone looking to replace their kitchen counter tops!

Blue Isle Granite and Tile is an amazing company, from start to finish. They respond to your emails quickly, answer any questions or concerns you may have, work with you if you're on a budget (if they can), you can go to their warehouse and look at the Granite if a picture doesn't suffice. I actually went back twice to make sure my cabinets would look good with what I chose. The work has been completed and it looks great! They are professional, it was a fairly quick installation, but didn't compromise on quality, very friendly and easy to talk to. I was installing it in an investment property and if I do another, I will definitely use their services again. Across the board, couldn't have been happier and I'm quite the perfectionist, so happy they have this site and the reviews were accurate.

We decided to replace our granite island and Formica countertops with all new, matching granite. From our first contact with Tamara at Blue Isle for a rough estimate, to the actual installation of our new countertops today, everything worked exactly as it should. Ike came on time to measure and draw up the plans for the new countertops. We found the granite we wanted at the supplier; Blue Isle reserved the slabs we wanted that same afternoon. They gave us a date for installation and showed up on time to complete the installation; they cleaned up everything as they went. Ike at Blue Isle is the consummate artisan--his goal is to delight his clients and create the beautiful space they envision. He did that for us--his measurements were perfect; the counters were brought into the kitchen totally finished, so there was no grinding or adjustment necessary. The only "surprise" was how perfectly this entire project went, from start to finish. Blue Isle uses the highest quality materials and has wonderful employees. Ike supervised every detail and made sure all our questions were answered. We are thrilled with the results! Look no further--this company is fabulous!

Ike and Tamara were great from start to finish on our granite countertop installation. Their pricing was very competitive and they were very professional. They helped us go look at several samples, and were very accommodating as we changed our granite choice about a week into the process (before any material orders were paid for or finalized). They were able to install in one day while we were at work and we felt very comfortable having Ike and his crew in our home while we weren't home and the plumbers they used did a fantastic job. The countertops came out beautifully, we are very happy with the result.

Ike was very helpful in planning for our countertops and told us exactly how the process would take place. There were no surprizes. The installation was right on time and turned out beutiful. We are delighted with opur new countertops.

Fabulous! Ike was great to deal with. Gave us excellent advice and information, was very clear and prompt about everything, was flexible with some "extras' that we wanted, and he and his crew did an outstanding job of installation, including moving the mirrors out of the way first. Everything worked out great, and the price was significantly lower than the estimate we received from Home Depot. Moreover, it was a real plus to be dealing directly with the owner of the company, who would himself be overseeing the installation. The work itself was done efficiently, on the date promised, and they left everything cleaned up and in tip-top shape.

From the first contact through the end of the project, Tamara and Ike could not have been more helpful and professional. Since they have no show room but come to the house to work on details and product selections, their costs are certainly competitive if not lower than many others. We did our own research into products and colors and Tamara helped us get what we finally decided on - which was our 6th choice because Cambria, the only US manufacturer of quartz counter tops, had such backlogs, they could not promise delivery on any of the first five choices. Not much really to say because once the slabs were received by Blue Isle, an installation date was set, met and in one day installed. Their plumber came the next day to install our sink and..... all was done. The finished kitchen counters and back splash look great and gets kudos from all who visit us. Service? Excellent!

Blue Isle was great to work with, Tamara communicated frequently and kept us informed and Ike was always on time and ready to go. Ike did the initial measurements personally, worked with us on color and grain, how to fit the piece to the kitchen, then was on-site to supervise the installation. We are totally satisfied.

Very professional from the beginning to the end, Blue Isle provides excellent communication, customer service and a quality product. Ike arrived within the two hour time period specified, had granite samples on his truck and made detailed measurements and diagrams of the work to be done. He had an Ipad full of pictures of completed work for us to view. Ike had several design ideas which we incorporated. He also had a selection of undermount sinks to choose from and gave us guidelines for purchasing faucets. The estimate was emailed the next day and we scheduled the work with 50% down and the other 50% due at the time of the installation. We were pleased with the quality of the countertop and the install. Because our cabinets were not anywhere close to level, they had to put a seam in the granite. Unless you know the seam is there, you would never notice it--the seam is almost invisible. Great job on keeping in touch with the customer and making us happy.

From first contact, the staff at Blue Isle were professional and great to work with. This was our largest contracted project to-date and we only wish that everyone was as great as the Blue Isle team. We cannot recommend then highly enough! Ike came to our house several times to make sure everything was correct before installation – especially since we made a few changes to our design requests in the middle of the process. They were great to work with during those changes and did a great job accommodating our custom granite backsplash designs. Blue Isle worked directly with the granite distributors to arrange everything once we selected our slabs, and they even accepted delivery of our custom sink at their workshop. The install process was seamless. The team was quick, quiet, and clean. They answered all my questions during the process and never minded when I got in the middle of the action to check things out. The final results are just amazing! My husband and I are both perfectionists, and we cannot find a single flaw in Ike’s work. He truly is a granite artist. We only wish we had a need for more granite or that Blue Isle did other contracting work so we could keep using them to finish our remodel! If you are thinking about granite – you will be so happy that you chose Blue Isle! We loved working with them and can’t say enough about the fabulous results!
