Description of Work: I had a light switch that started becoming hot to the touch. I had called them asking for someone to come out and take a look. After 24 hours, no one had responded, so I went to the Home Depot electrical department and spoke with one of their electrical people. He talked me through what was going on, and told me how to correct it. I replaced the switch, but in doing so, discovered where the old switch had left a scorch mark. I'd hate to think what would have happened if I had waited. |The Benfield electrician called me back the next day to ask me if I still needed help. I explained to him what happened, and he said I did the right thing and that everything sounded like I had fixed the problem. I did appreciate the follow-up call from Benfield, however, their response time to follow up with me was below par.

Description of Work: They came at the wrong time despite me changing time. I let them in anyways. Total waste of time. Got a quote on the wrong location for my generator. I called fairfax county to make sure of location. They said I could be 5 feet of side lot setback. Our side setback is 20 ft so could have been 15 ft. Guy who came said 3 or 5. When I told him about what county said he never got back to me. Also read fine print of contract especially where it pertains to panel. Would not recommend.

Description of Work: They installed a home generator. Great job and great followup. Price was very high but on par with all other companies. $4700 approx. for the generator & supplies and $7000 to install. Basic yearly maintenance is $350.

Description of Work: They installed my whole house standby generator and did a great job. The county inspector said it was one of the neatest jobs he had ever inspected. Their price was competitive. They could be a whole lot better with their maintenance contracts. Unlike my HVAC service, they do not remind me about scheduled maintenance. If I don't remember to call them, it doesn't get done.

Description of Work: Benfield installed a whole house generator which included running a separate gas line from the meter to the generator on the opposite side of the house. Work was professionally and they were responsive, cleanup after the initial install was done was not to our satisfaction, but when asked to be more thorough they took care of it. There were also some issues with the monitoring software, but they worked to get all issues resolved. They were also very cooperative in working with us when there was a possibility that the gas company would do the upgrade from the street to the meter for free, and they waited (a couple months) while the gas company was going through deliberations. Mario worked closely with us to get the inspections scheduled and install the monitoring software, and they ensured that I was satisfied with the work completed.

Description of Work: Installed whole house generator. They are quite easy to work with and were very responsive to my scheduling needs. I have them a B because the man who did the initial evaluation and pricing have me misinformation about where the generator could go. This caused me to pay to move a large healthy bush that then died. It turned out the generator could not new placed there and could be placed under my deck, which he told me was not possible.

Description of Work: I need to have my electrical panel brought up to code. After three estimates, my friend at work recommended this company. Apparently, her brother is supervisor at the company. The gentleman that did the panel upgrade was knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt. He started at 8 am on the dot, and was finished by 3 pm. I was and still am impressed with their service, and will highly recommend them!!
