The Techs who performed the work explained all the details of what they were doing so I understood why the different things needed to be done certain ways. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped me decide how best to lay things out to make things easy for them and me in the future should I wish to do some work on my own.

My wife and I recently bought a home in the Manassas Park area. Being an older home it needed a lot of electrical updates including a new breaker box, switches and receptacles updated, and grounded outlets installed in a spare bedroom we were converting to a home office. We found Beacon Electric on Angie's list. Their tech arrived promptly and spent over an hour and a half with me, going through crawlspaces and discussing all of my concerns. Once I approved their estimate they did a fantastic job resolving all of my issues. They also coordinated with the local power company and city to make sure work was done to code and passed inspection. I would definitely recommend Beacon Electrical Services for any home or commercial electric work.

I am giving the highest recommendation possible to both Beacon Electrical Services and specifically to Dan McHale, who initially provided and installed an attic fan in our detached garage and then on a second job he dug/trenched/provided/installed a Cat6e line and conduit from the house to a detached building in the back yard. His work was pure perfection on both projects. Dan went the extra mile to "fix" a wire connection in the garage of which I was unaware was unsafe; and he maintained a kind disposition in the sweltering heat as he hand-dug a trench for 120 feet of line for future internet installation. Beacon Electrical's response to all of my inquiries was thorough and prompt; and Dan was very knowledgeable of the Fios/internet protocols. Each suggestion that Dan made improved upon my initial vision for how and where to place the line, conduit, and phone jack. Dan, again, went the extra mile by going into the house and into the crawl space to prepare the work that Verizon would not permit its employees to do during the Covid pandemic. Even after the job was done, on his day off from work, when Verizon arrived to hook up Fios and had questions, Dan was willing to intercede for me with the Verizon tech by further explaining to them what had been done so as to expedite Verizon's installation. Dan was respectful to me and to my elderly parents throughout each encounter. In the midst of the Covid pandemic, Beacon Electrical took every precaution to protect the customer from the very first greeting to the final signing off on the job. As my 90-year-old father wanted to constantly "be near the action," Dan made sure that my father didn't get within six feet (or more) when he wasn't wearing his face mask. Dan's kindness, professionalism, and pride in workmanship is undeniable. My experience with Beacon has been a blessing, and they will remain my electrical company of choice! If first impressions matter, Beacon Electric excelled ... from the clean and shiny company vehicle to the appearance of their representatives. Also, lastly, though not of any lesser impression, is the office personnel. Having prompt, courteous return calls is such a luxury these days. Congrats to the owners and managers. You have much of which to be proud. (A new forever client)

Good service

I appreciate the quality of work done by Beacon Electrical. David was my electrical POC and was professional and patient with all my questions and concerns. Zach participated David with all aspects of service that day. P.S. I appreciate how wonderful they were with my dog who insisted on being with them during the service call.

Once the Technician arrived, he asked for $560 to fix the smoke alarms. Expensive!!

Very courteous, friendly, professional. Customer Service kept us informed of schedule changes, was proactive and the technician got right to the task, finished quickly, he was respectful of our home and just a great experience.

The customer service was great. While the technician arrived on time, was very courteous and friendly, he did not complete the job of hanging a chandelier to my satisfaction. While discussing the issue, the technician's facial expressions and body language indicated to me that he was reluctant to correct these issues. Instead of frustrating either one of us any further, I decided to leave it at that and contact the Service Department. I reached out to them via phone and text. I spoke with a Customer Service Representative on the first call and I sent pictures of the work completed by the technician. She was awesome! She said she would contact the Service Manager and he would give me a call. He called within a short period of time, apologized, empathized with me, and said he would come to correct the issues left behind by his technician. When the Service Manager arrived he brought the extra materials needed to properly complete the job. He spent another 2 hours completing the job as he discovered an underlying issue that may have created a fire hazard. He also shared with us the steps he would be taking to address the issues with the technician. He said that he would be meeting with the technician to discuss Sensitivity Training and how body language and facial expressions translate to customers as well as technical training. While some people would write this company off because of the technician, it's important to understand how our reaction can affect others as well. We look at every experience as an opportunity to learn, teach, or mentor. We are all human and therefore not perfect. We also, make mistakes and are prone to have a bad day every now and then. We were thrilled with the company's response and the actions they took to make sure that we were satisfied and happy. And we were also happy to see the concern for their technician to help him continue to learn and grow as a tradesman and therefore continue to provide for him and his family. We all deserve at least a second chance when things go south.
