Technician came out within 24 hrs., did an honest appraisal of problems with A/C, decided that the system needed a thorough cleaning and performed this service very well. He stated the price up front and stayed several hours, as long as it took to get the system to work. Very satisfied with the service.

I'm glad I did not listen to this company's advice. After our basement suffered a severe flood, the rep (Bryan) stated that the hot water heater has mud in the gas valve and therefore cannot be started. Provided an estimate of $1,700 to "install new 50 gallon water heater with new 3/4 ball valve and gas cache and expansion tank with a 3/4 valve pressure." This sounded way to expensive to me so I said I would get back to them. I asked for a second opinion and got it: despite the flood nothing to prevent the water heater from working again, and a rep from another company started it up for only $75 service charge.

McCarthy was the lowest bid from 3 local companies, although not by much. The salesman who gave us the estimate was helpful & informative, but also rather pushy. I signed a contract for him to do the replacement without really realizing that I was hiring him--thought he was asking me to sign off on his proposal. We went with them anyway and were very pleased with their work and their accommodation of our particular desires with positioning of the installation. Sadly, when carrying out our old furnace they created numerous deep gouges in the middle of our painted cement laundry room floor, and then seemed to try to hide them by moving a rug--I didn't notice the worst until I put the rug back by the door after they left. I wouldn't have been so bothered if they'd mentioned and/or apologized for the damage, but I didn't appreciate the unprofessional way they handled it. On the other hand I didn't contact them to give them the opportunity to repair the damage.

Excellent. I was told they would be there between 12 pm and 4 pm. They arrived at 12:30 and finished at approximately 2:20 pm. Don and Tom were courteous, clean, and professional. They ascertained I had a service contract with a competing heating and air conditioning company and signed me up for a free service contract with them should I decide to switch.

The workman did a great job. He was early for the appointment and worked steadily to thoroughly clean the duct. He was very neat and cleaned up when he was finished. We are very pleased with his work.

Great company. They were a second opinion. They encouraged us to do our own research. The technicians(5+) arrived at 7:15 am and worked to 5:45 pm to install our systems. Company is the most professioal I've worked with. They will return in the warm weather to check our new A/C. They exceeded our expectations on all counts! Definitely at least check with them on price as we got a great deal (with the furnace our A/C, after repeat was 1300. It would have been around 5k if installed alone).

Great. Employees were on time and completed work within scheduled time. No mess made.

We noticed within a day or two that the sink continued to leak and the odor had returned. We called another plumbing company that diagnosed the problem immediately. The garbage disposal and its line were faulty and leaking in a couple of places. They repaired it and we have had no more moisture or odor from under the kitchen sink.

We had an appointment with McCarthy to do complete Duct cleaning. The appoint was for May 29. We were told they would call 1/2 hour ahead and the time would be 2-4pm. We got a reminder call the day before and they changed the time to between 3 and 5pm. They never called and never showed up. Very disappointed that this service was listed on Angie's List. We pick another service (VA-Z Finest for June 2nd. They called to confirm and never showed up! Is there no reliable Duct Cleaning Service?

Professional, polite and experienced. Arrived within specified appointment window. Did a thorough cleaning. Very helpful as well with advice about filters. Extremely satisfied.

All the reps that worked on the inspection and installation were highly professional, efficient and trustworthy. They even came back several days later - in person - to find out if everything was working as expected. Their customer service and quality of work can't be beat!

This is a great and easy company to work with. The install took a few days, but the workers were clean and nice to work with.

THE CENTRAL OFFICE WHO COORDINATED THE JOB WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THEY SENT A COUPLE OF PEOPLE TO DO THE JOB - THEY WERE QUICK AND EFFICIENT AND ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE DUCT SYSTEM IN THE HOUSE.
