Described over the phone problem with convectors (in my condo unit)--leaking valves needed to be changed. When technician came he said: "We don't do that because whole building's A/C system has to be shut down". Asked him: "So what?" No plausible answer. 90 bucks just to say one sentence. Are they professionals? Don't think so.

Excellent! Arrived on time; quick, accurate diagnosis of problem and quick repair. Cost well within expectations.

Faucet replacement went fine. The staff person was very polite and friendly. It was much more expensive than I had expected. I felt like he made up the cost on the spot. I had received phone estimates that were to $100-$150. There was a $50 charge if he didn't complete the work, and I had already taken off work, so I went ahead and had him complete it.

I was looking for a new company for a service contract and McCarthy was recommended by a friend. When I called, my questions were answered, and I decided to try them. I was able to get an appointment in a few days. They called before coming to say they could come early. I wasn't home yet and a friend staying with me, who was expecting them, told them to come ahead. She was here while the serviceman inspected the furnace and said he was professional, thorough and pleasant. I had been quoted a price of $120 for the annual contract, but he put $70 on the invoice. When I called to clarify the price, I was told that was a special offer that had actually ended Dec. 31, but they would give it to me. I look forward to working with them in the future.

Steve was late due a previous job. He didn't arrive till 5:30 PM but once he arrived, he immediately went to work snaking the floor drain.

I called McCarthy Services on Monday morning and was offered Tuesday 8-12N or Wednesday 12N-4P of that week for an electrician, plumber and my annual furnace inspection as I needed other work performed. Odie the Master Electrician came at 2P, left at 3P and was prompt, courteous, and professional.

I scheduled this inspection on Monday as well as a plumber and electrician from McCarthy Service. I was offered Tuesday 8A-12N or Wednesday 12N-4P. Kelly from their office called me to see if I was home and also tell me Brian the technician was on his way.

Very well. No issues with estimate or installation. We've only used the furnace and humidifier so far and they're working very well. The company representative, Richard Harry, was very pleasant to work with. He answered all of our questions and gave objective advice on our options. We got the first estimate from our annual maintenance contractor. It seemed a bit high so I got bids from McCarthy and one other company. McCarthy's price was well below my maintenance contractor's and slightly below the other company for the same types of equipment.

They just continue to impress me. I received a call to schedule a service appt. Again and again they do good work and are reliable.

I have had this contract with them in the past. Although, recently they broke the trust that I had with them when they tried to get me to agree with services that I found were not needed. I will not call them again.

These guys were fine and they met my expectations. I do not recall the price because my husband manages that. They were on time. I would recommend them and I would hire them again.

The technician repaired the unit and added Freon. The technician was later than scheduled, but did come on a holiday. He diagnosed the problem and repaired the unit quickly. I think the price was fair and I would use them again.

My A/C unit was leaking water from the interior unit. The contractor the vendor sent originally didn't find any problem and said because it wasn't leaking at the time he couldn't diagnose the problem. It still leaked, so I called and they sent another contractor who said it was installed improperly, that it wasn't covered under the warranty and that he would fix it for $250. I then called McCarthy. They found that because the floor has a slight slant the condensation was not draining properly. They fixed it in under 10 minutes for a total cost of $40 on Labor Day weekend! The vendor tried to rip me off. I called to tell the vendor that I felt I was being ripped off by their contractor the customer service rep said rather rudely that the contractor was sticking to his opinion that it was installed improperly. She didn't even want to hear about the $40 solution McCarthy Services came up with.

They worked out very well this time and they seem to do just fine. They actually come out in the spring and the fall and do what is necessary. I seem to have made a good choice going with them.

We were very pleased with them. They were on time and they returned our phone calls. They were also professional and they went out of their way because we were out of town and didn t check our messages. They had to hunt us down and made an extra trip. They could have canceled us, but they came anyway.

I was very well treated and they did a good job overall. I've been breathing much better!

Wasted my time even talking to them to begin with. Don't bother ever using them unless you want to be taken for a high price that is way out of line.

Surprised at the rate increase. I have 2 systems and got a telephone quote of $595 per system. The woman was very short and didn't seem like wanted my business. Previous reviews seemed to be markedly less expensive.

McCarthy offered the best price on the replacement of our heating and A/C unit. Bill, who came in to do the estimating, did a thorough job of recommending the right system for us. He was willing to match any price provided I had a written estimate from them. They understood the urgency of the situation, since the temperature was over 95 degrees for 3 days in a row, and they agreed to do the installation on Wednesday after I confirmed on Monday. The crew arrived on time, at 7:15 AM, since I had to leave for work. They were friendly, and managed to install the unit and cleanup afterwards. They did an excellent job, and my house is very comfortable in the hot days.

Great! Best estimate for Trane products. Other Trane authorized businesses would not match the price. Salesman on the ball and flexible. Listened well to my experiences with the heating and air conditioning of my home. Assured me the product and installation would improve our family's comfort and save us on our electric bill (which it has). Installers arrived early, flexible to adjusting needs that did not get communicated on work order. Nice, fast, and professional from the first call to the "here ya go, have a nice evening." Very impressed. Will use again.

James was the plumber who came to the house and he was cordial and punctual. The kitchen faucet repair has gone well thus far (no leakage). All three toilets he repaired are working well. However, the leak he repaired that was associated with the dishwasher persists. As a matter of fact, the pooling of water at the bottom of the dishwasher has worsened.

Fantastic. We noticed an immediate improvement in the air quality in our home. Moreover, we no longer have a persistent dusting of filaments from the backed up ducts covering furniture and items in the home as well as fewer allergy related headaches and sneezing.

They arrived on time, and took 2 1/2 hours to clean the ducts. They were very neat and did not leave any mess behind.

I called in the morning and they were able to set me up with an appointment for that afternoon. The office called about a half hour before the technician arrived to inform me that he was on his way. The technician was extremely helpful and professional and took the time to explain what he was doing and to point out potential problems. He did suggest a few upgrades but was not pushy about having them installed immediately. Their preventative maintenance plan ($70) allows for 2 maintenance calls per year (spring and fall) to inspect and advise of the system's condition, allows for priority emergency service (24 hours a day, 365 days a year), and provides a 20% discount on all parts and labor. I will definitely use their services again.

Our old AC unit coils and pan above the furnace were badly rusted - the condensation leaked out and made a mess of our basement. We called McCarthy services and they were able to send out a technician the next morning. They told us their technician Brian would be there between 7:30 and 8:30 - he showed up at 8 A.M. Brian looked the situation over and told us that it would cost about $2,000 to replace the coils, pan and associated sheet metal work, or they could replace the whole system for $4,700. Existing system was in really bad shape - we could see the rust on the system in the furnace area and the outside condenser is over 15 years old, so we went with the new system. McCarthy scheduled the installation for the next day. The crew, headed up by Dylan (ask for him if you call McCarthy), arrived before 8 A.M and had the new system installed by noon. Job was professional, neat, clean, and Dylan took an obvious pride in providing us with a new system far superior to our old one.
