There were extenuating circumstances so that the faucet could not be replaced (which was the service the coupon was for), but he was super nice and did a quick work around so that the faucet was usable.

Unfortunately, I was unable to use the deal. Kenny came out and was very knowledgeable, helpful and honest. He let me know that the work that I needed was outside the scope of the deal, and it would be quite a bit more expensive. I would definitely recommend them.

It took about twenty minutes. He offered to inspect all the plumbing in the house, but I declined since we had an inspection done within the past three months.

The gentleman from McCarthy's arrived on-time and realized that in order to replace the faucet he would need to cut into a wall within our home to access the pipe. Unfortunately the pipe is located right behind our large screen TV hanging on the wall and the service was not able to performed. He attempted to change the core parts of the faucet instead, but was unable to because of the corrosion on the faucet bib.

Overall, it was a good experience. I was comfortable and learned how to care for the unit. The technician was punctual and answered all my questions.

They do quality work and they are very nice people to deal with. They are always available when I need them.

Plumber was very professional and friendly. Explained everything that needed to be done and knew the job well. When you hook up a sinkerator you have to undo the dish washer and put it back, since they are on the same line. he did all that, but the next day he called and said he just wanted to come check on his way home to make sure he had rehooked up the waste on the dishwasher because he does them all the time and does them automatically, but didnt remember doing it so wanted to make sure it was done. When he checked of course he had already done it on his first visit, but I apprecated him taking his own time to come and check to make sure.. Very nice and knowledgable man and we would certainly use them again if we needed a plumber

Overall I was very satisfied. Brian Spargo worked out the details and helped me select appropriate replacement equipment. The workers arrived on time and finished the work in a long day. They were professional, cleaned up after themselves, and did a quality job. There were some hiccups and misunderstandings, including forgetting to install the humidifier and problems balancing the heat upstairs and downstairs, but Spargo and Rich Hanson worked with me to resolve the problems. On the financial side, there was supposedly a $300 rebate that never materialized and couldn't be found on the manufacturer's website. Despite that, I'd give them a A rating. It's a company that cares about quality and honors its commitments, and I will use them again in the future.

They were prompt, courteous, answered any questions I had. I would not hesitate using them again and will recommend them.

The technician showed on time, completed the work quickly and efficiently, and did a great job. He even went above and beyond and diagnosed that my water heater had a leak in it.

It was good. They were friendly and showed up on time. I was pleased with them. They showed up immediately. I didn't pay any extra.

CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH! McCarthy Services was hired through an Angies' List Special to replace a hose faucet for $99.00. The plumber was supposed to arrive between 3:00 and 5:00 and actually arrived at 6:45. After a few minutes of looking at the existing faucet, the plumber said it was special and he had to order parts that weren't part of the special price. Really? It's a hose faucet. I sent him on his way. I know now to avoid these "specials". I'm sure I'll have a tough time getting my money back as it was prepaid.

The guy was very nice and efficient and he let me know that the repair was actually not needed. He was very honest and he said the problem was the hose and not the faucet itself. He let me know when this work is done most of the time drywall is needed on the interior of the home and they do not do that work.

Services as contracted were never performed because provider failed to show up.

The guy that came out was really good, very knowledgeable and very tidy. As far as professionalism and quality of work; they were outstanding but the price was not good at all. I actually end up spending five hundred fifty dollars in addition. The work is great.

I telephoned the company in the morning, and they were out by that same afternoon. I just love quick, effectively response time. The technicans arrived on time, looked at the garbage disposal, and clicked the fuse box switch which had clicked off. He then heard the bathroom toilet running, and offered to take a look at it. I had an Angie's List coupon for $49.00 (for $100.00 worth of work). Still costs me an additional $25.00. This was my only disappointment, since the entire job look less than 20 minutes. I would use them again but would definitely make sure I know what I'm buying next time.

The Big Deal was for a toilet tune-up and plumbing inspection. The plumber, Mike L. arrived. He was all muddy, but he did put on booties. I was still worried about his muddy pants. He asked what the issue was - a leaking toilet in the hall bathroom. We went upstairs and he looked at it and then asked, if there was anything else. I told him that the bathroom sinks were somewhat clogged. He tested the drains. He didn't say anything to me - no diagnosis, nothing! He asked if there was anything else. I told him I would like him to look at the sump pump because there had been so much rain lately. He checked it and all he said was - it's fine. I asked about the water pressure in the kitchen faucet. I thought it was low. He didn't say anything. He just took off the end cap on the faucet and took out the low-flow plastic disk and replaced the end cap. He showed me that it now had more pressure. He then told me that he would give me a lot of options. He got on the phone with his company. He asked me if we had a service plan. I told him no. He asked the person on the phone if the $69 Big Deal could be applied toward the expense of a major toilet rebuild. When he hung up the phone, I said, "A major rebuild?" He laughed at me. He told me that he would give me a lot of options. He gave me a list of three options: · Drain cleaning for $295 ~ $236 if we bought McCarthy's service plan · Major toilet rebuild - $387/ $309 with plan · Replace toilet completely - $554 minus the $69 Big Deal price All in all, my impression of McCarthy Services was not a positive one. The technician was very unfriendly and made me not want to employ McCarthy Services. He was extremely uncommunicative and unsociable. The toilet tune-up was never done.

One of the toilets overflowed two days later. I did not call them back but had our handyman fix the repair. I had thought the $100 on the coupon would have been enough to pay for adjusting the two toilets but we were charged an additional $95.00. We also thought the estimate for replacing the toilets was pretty high; we have since gotten a lower estimate.

.The service representative was professional, courteous and appeared capable. The work was performed in a timely fashion. The representative answered each of the many questions I posed. I was a satisfied customer. Since the plumbing work I have purchased a HVAC system from McCarthy and, again, I am a satisfied customer.

They are very deceptive. The big deal was for $50. He charged me $463 for 3 little parts that would fit into your hand. I questioned the outrageous cost, and he said that is what the book says. I guess they give this good deal, and then get people to get them in there. I showed it to my plumber who came the next day, and he said you can get the whole thing for $40 at Home Depot. The technician was very good, the only problem I had was the pricing on the part. The work that he did was good, and he was pleasant and he was on time, but he was dishonest. I haven't had the time to contact the owner and talk to him about it.
