Provider actually called ahead of time because they were running ahead of schedule, and I told them, Great! Come on over! And they arrived with 10 minutes, provided the check we needed, recommended repairs. Went very smoothly. Professional.

The guy replaced the pipe with a used one. when McCarthy Co.knew about that they sent me another tech. and replaced the whole pipe at no extra cost. I have to say that their customer service is excellent and they responded and fixed the problem immediately after being notified. I really appreciate the quality work and the prompt response.

The first technician and out and installed the faucets. A few days later we noticed a slow drip under the kitchen sink where the shut off for the outside faucet is located. A second technician came out the next day and found that the first technician had only sealed about 3/4 of the faucet!

Received a call from McCarthy on 10/21/14 based on my Angie's List rating. I provided follow-up pictures of the two leaking elbows (these had been offered twice before but not wanted by two representatives) and requested McCarthy get back to me after reviewing them so I could understand their point of view and they may look at any process changes. I didn't hear back from McCarthy so I called them again on 10/28. Ms Shepard said she'd have Earl call me and he did that day. He indicated that the reason one elbow was estimated at $690.00 was that the technician indicated he'd need a 10 foot ladder and a second person to steady the ladder. I responded that it was bad information from their technician and that you couldn't stand a ten foot ladder in the nine foot high utility room. He said in retrospect they could have replaced both elbows for $750.00 and wanted to gain my trust back by offering me $100 credit on any future work I chose for them to do. We agreed to disagree. The original Angie's list coupon for a dispatch and $100 credit off of plumbing services on a $1129.00 quote or even a reduced $750.00 quote is not a bargain to any savy customer. Pictures of the exposed shower elbow and the exposed utility room elbow should be uploaded shortly. I gave a generous tip to the plumber that told me up front that he charges $150/hour and did both jobs in just under an hour.

I had used an Angie's List deal previously to have some work done on two toilets. The problems were not corrected. The company offered to come back out and see what could be done. The second plumber came and identified the problems with the previous work and corrected them. Since then I have not had any problems at all. The people in the office were very helpful and polite and wanted to be sure I was happy with the service.

A manager of the company initially said the work would take three days, and that was the basis of the price. After discussion, he said it might be done in two days, and reduced the price to $4,500. I asked if it might possibly be done in one day, and he said possibly, then it wold be only $3500. I agreed to those terms, assuming he was an honest business person. The two-man crew arrived before 9:00 am, and immediately went to work jack-hammering part of the floor in our family room, after covering furniture with plastic, and installing plastic to prevent at least some of the dust from spreading throughout the house. By noon they the hole dug and were ready to repair the pipe. By 3:00 pm the pipe was repaired, the hole refilled and the concrete floor was replaced. All that was left to do was close a hole in the basement wall. But they didn't do it! The leader of the two man team talked at length with his office, then said they would have to return the next day, thus costing me an additional, and unnecessary, $1000. They did do that, and finished in about half an hour. The work itself was done well enough from what I could tell. The repair of the holes was only adequate in the family room, but not at all good in the basement. But, the carpet in the area where they worked was ruined, and the entire room had to be recarpeted. Further, it cos us almost $400 to get rid of the dust! McCarthy did send quite a nice young man to redo the work in the basement wall, and it is better, but far from perfect. I won't use their services again, and don't recommend anyone else does either. As a retired college professor, I would not give them a failing grade -- the base problem is seems to be repaired, all of the other problems associated with the jobs earns them a D-, which in most schools does not award credit for a course.

What I considered minor repairs turned into major undertakings, with parts having to be ordered and extra service calls. The plumber apparently had nothing on his truck that could be used, and I had asked that specific question when I called to schedule. The estimated costs kept rising to an unacceptable amount. Everything became major!

James Moore was the nice young man who came on the appointment. He was polite, efficient and very professional. McCarthy Services did a very good job. They had to go into a basement crawl space to do the work and didn't hesitate. I'd use them again.

They were outstanding! They were very knowledgeable and I would absolutely use them again if I needed to.

I purchased the real deal for $49 for a plumbing service call, Plus $100 toward repairs on 17 April 2014 (order # 1213763, coupon code Plumbing-1213763-1). I emailed the contact on the same day to schedule the repairs. I did not receive a response. I emailed them again on 2 October 2014 and then multiple responses via phone that day to schedule an appointment. They fit me in for the following day, 3 October 2014 and the technician, Daniel came out within the time frame given. Daniel was a gem, he was professional yet also warm and friendly. He definitely knew what he was doing. He addressed all of my concerns. Did a rather thorough job of inspecting the plumbing in question without tearing out the walls and floors. He did find a leak in one of the shower controls on the third floor which he replaced. Daniel's service was awesome as he went floor by floor to inspect for possible leaks and was very patient while answering my questions. Daniel was always mindful of not making a mess, always wearing his shoe coverings while walking around the house. The price of the repair seemed a little high, and that was after he deducted the $100 credit toward repairs from the Angie's List coupon. However he got the estimate directly from the company's price listing and I appreciated his honesty and trustworthiness.

I just wasn't very impressed. There were a lot of things I couldn't use the credit towards without incurring extra charges.

The technician was very polite and professional. He did a thorough inspection and didn't find anything that required immediate attention. He pointed out a couple of things that might become issues in time, and made recommendations on when to address them, and provided cost estimates for doing so.

He was great. My sinks are a little dated but were only about 5 years old. Come to find out the pieces for my sink weren’t made anymore, but he found the pieces that I needed to fix it, which took him 2 weeks, so I didn’t have to replace my sinks after all. I think he looked everywhere to find these pieces. I was so pleased that he went the extra mile to help me out with that.

overall, the service went very well. I was almost double charged though, because the technician had never handled an Angie's List big deal call previously. He also didn't know the terms of the Big Deal and did not perform a whole house plumbing check.

Extremely timely and punctual, provided estimate in more than one way so that I could choose the level of work to be done (repair versus replace). Also suggested addition of an access panel which did not come across as a bid for more work but rather an excellent suggestion to save potential headaches in the future.

The work was satisfactory. They price by the job and I decided that that was really too pricey, so I went ahead and did my first plumbing problems with them but then I changed because it would have been too expensive if I continued with them for the jobs I had to do. I thought the serviceman was really great it was just their policy I didn’t like.

I purchased the big deal for $49 for a plumber to come out and $100 off service. I was very satisfied with the work completed. Randall was very helpful in describing the problem and giving me options with estimates for how I could fix the problem. He was very knowledgeable and efficient.

The tune up went really well. They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. He gave us some very good information on potential repairs.

McCarthy Services provided a reasonable quote over the phone to replace a compressor on our AC unit that was still under warranty. They had the compressor available and were able to come the very next day to complete the repair. The service provider was very professional and efficient. The total came in right in the middle of the quoted price range. I was very pleased and would recommend them to others!

It was fine. They were on time and did what they were supposed to do. They were easy to schedule with.

It was fine. They had to come back. They removed the toilet, repaired water damage, and installed a new toilet. After the install, there was a leak, and they came back and took care of the leak. Once I was aware of the issue and called them, they came out the very next day.

The service technician, Mike, was very professional and answered my questions without hesitation. The price he quoted was a bit more than I expected, but I was very happy with the work he did. He gave me recommendations for work that should be done in the future....our house is nearly 45 years old so I am not surprised that pipes, etc are starting to wear! I will hire McCarthy Services for any future plumbing needs.

Tech was honest and extemely knowledgeable. Walked me through each step of his work (I wanted to learn), and provided tips and education to avoid future problems. Showed me parts that needed to be replaced. Fair price for a significant amount of work. No upselling or pressure. Will rely on this company for future needs.
