Description of Work: Completed a drain cleaning (via Angie's List Big Deal) for $69, and also replaced the water shutoff valve to a toilet for $169. Both accomplished very nicely and neatly. Would have gotten a higher rating but they did not show up during the scheduled time (1-5pm). They called at 4:15pm saying they would be a little late, but when they weren't there by 5:50pm, I called them to reschedule. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this company and will use them again.

Description of Work: We have been on an AC/heating maintenance plan with McCarthy for quite some time and have always been pleased with the service. The last service was following Sandy when we had a fuse blow due to a power surge. I don't remember the exact replacement cost of the fuse, but they came quickly and provided great service.

Description of Work: Came home from a trip to find my HWH was dripping and coincidentally my drainpipe was clogged so water was backing up into my basement. McCarthy came out and said my main sewer line was clogged. They removed a large piece of 2x4 that apparently was stuffed in the pipe 25 years ago when the home was built. The next day they came to replace the HWH (which was more expensive than I planned but the techs did a superb job). It turned out that a chunk of 2x4 had worked its way all the way out to near where my sewer pipe meets the county. long story short, the water backed up again, McCarthy fixed it and didn't charge-they covered it from the previous days work and apologized for not seeing that the first time. Technician Randy is a terrific guy. Provided us with his persona cell number in case we needed him ASAP.
