Description of Work: Install a pump on the hotwater line so to keep hot water flowing throughout the house at all times. No wait for hot water at any tap! Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding between the plumber and the myself, the home owner. When I mentioned to him that there was one more task to be done and he refused to do it because I hadn't mentioned that part of the work. The project stands not completed.

Description of Work: Did a toilet check-up and repair as needed. Found several things that needed adjustment and took care of them very quickly. The whole experience was great...very professional and personable young man who was very qualified and took great care to explain everything, make suggestions for the future, etc. Great company and we will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: The company performed a "toilet tuneup" which essentially was a swap of the flapper in the bottom of the toilet basin. The employee also did an inspection of the other toilets. I found the idea of a special deal for $69 to be fairly expensive for basically driving to my home and swapping a flapper. He also offered to completely "rebuild" the toilet for about $400, which indicated to me that the real reason for the special deal was to attempt to coax people into the bait-and-switch plan of completely rebuilding toilets. The parts involved for a "complete rebuild" probably amount to $30-80 worth of parts depending on the quality purchased. The flapper which was the only part replaced in the special deal for $69 probably cost the company a couple of dollars, if that.

Description of Work: The plumber was on time, took care of the blocked shower drain in about 15 minutes, looked at a problem with my home humidifier (he could not help as that would require an HVAC specialist), then produced the bill for just under $300. I understand that a flat rate for common services is often used, but it sure does hurt when I pay close to $300 for about 30 minutes of a plumbers time and the cost of a service call (during a weekday). To be honest, there is no complaint whatsoever about the work, it was done right!

Description of Work: Spring pre-season cooling system check. Cleaned, lubricated and checked system operation. We have had a service contract with McCarthy since they installed our new Trans system in 2007. We have been very pleased. We have also used them for several plumbing repairs and have always been satisfied.

Description of Work: Adjusted the water level and replaced the handle on downstairs toilet. (Water was originally "overflowing" into the pump, causing it to flush more often). By adjusting the water pressure, this should lower my water bill in the future. He also replaced my worn handle. Was extremely professional and very nice overall, answering all my questions.

Description of Work: Repaired our leaking toilet

Description of Work: First time he checked the toilet and replaced a part that I originally paid for. Shortly after he left it started leaking. Second time he replaced another part (under warranty now). Started leaking a day after he left. Third time he found the problem and ordered all new parts. Took 10 days to come in. Fourth time he installed the new parts. Seems to be working now. Too bad the company couldn't do it the first or second time.

Description of Work: I had to replace a shower head and a bath tub drainage which they said will cost me $500. I thought this was ridiculous so I went to home depot and did the repairs myself and ended up paying $35.
