Innovative Inc

This was a major project that took almost two weeks to complete. I had used Innovative on a somewhat smaller painting project a few months earlier and was impressed with the work. I had four bids on this project, three from contractors well rated on Angie's List. One was ridiculously high as the contractor said the ceiling could not be repaired and had to be completely replaced. One bid was slightly higher than Innovative's estimate, but the contractor was a bit annoying. The fourth bid was lower than Innovative's and was from a contractor recommended by the electrical contractors used for the lighting work, but he had no reviews on Angie's List and said he couldn't be bothered to fill out all their forms. I went with Innovative, and glad I did. The guys worked hard, for many days. They could not remove the decorative brick wall on the stairs, but did an amazing job of covering it with drywall. You'd never know it was there. They spent days on the ceiling drywall work and it ended up perfectly smooth. They finished one day earlier than their estimate. I'm quite happy with the work and the price. Next year I will use Innovative when I have some modifications done to the family room.

Innovative painters was very professional and did a remarkable job with painting my house. They went out of their way to fix a crack in a wall that was not in the scope of work. It took them two and a half days to complete the job and I am 100% satisfied. The workers are very courteous and kind. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure I was happy with the work before they left on the final day. They stuck to their schedule and worked within my budget by adjusting the estimate a couple times and pairing down the scope of work. I highly recommend this company to anyone that needs a great paint job at a reasonable price.

So, up front I am very jaded when it comes to home repair in Northern VA. The simple reason for this is I always feel like I am getting ripped off. ?For the two jobs ultimately performed by Innovative Inc, I got estimates from several "A" companies on Angie's list.?For the exterior paint alone, the estimates averaged $2000 more than Innovative Inc. One was $4000 more than Innovative...from an A list Angie's List company. The lights and ceiling repair (necessary after installing recessed lights) estimates were also about $750 more. One note, I had to provide the hardware for the lights and the paint for the ceiling. ?The cost for the light hardware was about $300 and the paint cost us $60. I went with Innovative and had a whole new feeling...could this company do the job they promised for the price they estimated. Prior to the start of the repair work, the bad storms hit and put them behind schedule a little. Mabel promptly called and we easily arranged a new date, which was only about 10 days later. ?After everything was said and done, the end result was exactly what I wanted. I WAS VERY PLEASED with the quality of the work performed and will automatically call them for all of our future painting needs. Mabel and her company are rock stars and should be picked for all painting needs.

One or both of us watched the painting in progress daily. The painters did everything specified in the contract including the multi-color painting of tricky Victorian exterior details and repairing of two window sills, and then some. The lead painter worked hard to deal with troublesome storm windows and the opening of a window that was nailed shut in 3 (difficult to determine) places. The oh-so important prep work was thorough, includingpressure washing and scraping. All threeor four painters, depending upon the day, were very accommodating, pleasant and cleaned up every day. They took their shoes off each time they entered the house to use the facilities or when required to prep the windows for exterior painting and or spread drop cloths the last 2 days when they needed to got from the front exterior to the back exterior more frequently when working on the front and back concurrently. When there was a question about how to proceed on the house details, the lead painter repeatedly said, ?We want you to be happy.? Given the prep work we witnessed, we expect the paint to last and last. We recommend Innovative Inc. (Painters)highly and have already done so to neighbors on the street who stopped to ask, as the work was more detailed than any on the similar row houses. There may be a trend for more authentic Victorian color and painting plans. Innovative Inc. (Painters) may have set the bar for executing the detailed painting of Victorian houses.

Once we got a hold of them, it was okay. The thing that really was annoying was that we scheduled a home assessment and after taking off work, the guy never showed up, saying he was too busy to make it. And then originally they had a long wait time to get the work done. Eventually they worked with us and got us in earlier and did a good job painting, so I was pleased in the end, just frustrated with some of the communication problems in the beginning.

Painters came and painted most of the common rooms and some bedrooms in my home. They did a fabulous job! They worked quickly but were thorough. Their quote also was about 1/4 less than the other quotes I got on the job. I plan on hiring them again to paint some other parts of my house.

I recently bought a condo built in the 1980s that needs a massive renovation. The first order of business? The ceilings covered in dreaded, hideous popcorn. I started removing the popcorn myself, (which actually isn't too bad) only to discover that the concrete underneath was in pretty rough shape. So, I reached out to about a dozen vendors for quotes, and I picked Innovative. They weren't the cheapest quote, but it was competitive, their proposal was the "right" way to approach the job, I was encouraged by the reviews here, and they did a great job of following up with me and answering my questions during the quote process. They scheduled the job for within a week of my signing the contract, and their team of three workers finished the job in two days. This is super messy work?popcorn removal is bad, but the plastering and sanding is much worse?but they did a good job of protecting the walls, floors, and few items I had from dust and debris. I was pretty impressed with the quality of their skim coat on the ceiling too. That's tougher to get smooth than skimming walls due to the angle, and while there are some imperfections in the surface (which is to be expected), my ceiling looks better than some other people in my building who had similar work done by other vendors. I had debated whether or not to have Innovative paint the ceilings or do it myself, as I'd just painted the walls on my own for budget reasons. I ultimately decided to let them do it and was glad I did. This work makes a mess near the ceiling edge, including requiring some replacement joint tape and some of the skim coating getting on the walls. I requested a specific color, and they brought some color matched Sherwin Williams, which is no problem. Letting them take care of paint meant they were responsible for touching everything up, and they did a solid job. The painted lines between the ceiling and walls aren't perfectly straight?something I notice especially lying in bed and looking straight up?but as anyone who has painted knows, it's nearly impossible to get that stuff perfect (even with tape, which most pros don't use). My walls aren't straight anyway, and they did a better job than lots of others I've seen. The workers also went above and beyond in a couple places. For example, there was a drywall crack right next to the ceiling in one place, so they tossed some mud on it and sanded it. It's the kind of thing that probably took a couple extra minutes but made an impression. Overall, I was very pleased with the work Innovative did and wouldn't hesitate both to recommend them to friends for plastering and painting jobs and to use them again.

Getting a quote was smooth and efficient. Some minor trouble getting the manager to return phone calls & quote specification. However, the job was done well. They ensured furniture/floor was protected. Also made sure that I was happy with each room and fixed any issues. I was pleasantly surprised how willing they were to make sure things were done correctly.

Aside from a hiccup with the initial appointment for an estimate, this company did a wonderful job. They were flexible and worked with me on adjusting the work order to reflect the materials and specific type of paint I wanted to use for the job. The initial price was slightly higher than what I had expected so they offered a Angie's List discount and I thought the final price was fair and within the market price range for the type of job involved. The workmanship was good and I would use this contractor again in the future.

It looks great. They were very flexible and willing to work within my tight timeline. The place has never looked better.

They did a wonderful job! From the beginning, everyone I interacted with was professional and friendly. The estimate was quite fair, and they were very flexible in dealing with paint color/brand changes, dates, etc. The manager, Mabel, was especially helpful, and even helped me to make some decisions regarding paint colors. I really appreciated her feedback & assistance (and patience!). We were able to coordinate dates with my home alarm installation, which was a bit tricky, but not a problem. The crew arrived promptly and immediately got to work. They listened carefully to my (many) questions and were very courteous. And the end result was perfect -- they fixed the drywall where it needed it, worked carefully around the trim, and left my home immaculate. I could see that they all took pride in their work, as well they should. I was very pleased with Innovative, Inc., and would definitely use them again.

Innovative came in at the lowest price from all of the bids I got by a significant amount and they had good reviews so I went with them to take care of painting my condo. They arrived reasonably on time on the scheduled day and did a pretty good job of painting the ceiling and the walls. The only detraction would be that I would have appreciated it if they had protected my floors a bit more (brand new floors I just had installed) -- I noticed a few scratches and there were definitely paint drops or residue in some parts of the unit. But small things are unavoidable, so no major points off. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I'd hire them to paint my place again if I ever decide to change my decor.

I needed to get my living room/dining room, hallway and master bedroom painted quickly. The designer I'm working with found Innovative Inc on Angie's List and saw that they were highly recommended. The designer arranged for Innovative Inc to come and give an estimate within one day and they were available to start the next week. The estimated time was 3 days, but the team was finished in 2. The work is fabulous. The rooms look terrific. The team cleaned up after their work. I would recommend them to anyone.

They prepped by sanding as needed, hammering down popped-up nails, and power washing. They told me they were going to use Benjamin Moore Arborcoat stain and that I should go to Potomac Paint to select the color, which I did. The color, upon application, came out funky, nothing like the stain chip, but when I took that up with Potomac Paint, they assured me there was nothing wrong with the stain but couldn't explain why the color differed on my deck so much from the chip. They pointed out that the stain was to be applied in two coats (the manufacturer's recommendation was on the can) and suggested that the second coat might make a difference. (It didn't.) I observed that my contract with Innovative allowed for only one coat of stain and inquired of them by email why. The response I got was that it was their experience that only one coat was needed. So, I had to get someone else to finish the job by applying the second coat of stain. I had no quarrel with the work they did; I just didn't feel like they finished the job.

Showed up ontime for the estimate. Stayed on price. Painters we helpful, attentive, and did a wonderful job.

Great. The repair work is amazing the paint is perfect. They were helpful and kind throughout. They made sure we were happy. Mabel who runs the office was so nice and straightforward with me on all our phone calls, Alex who does the estimates really understood what we needed and did not nickel and dime us for every little thing and Wilber was the greatest: He really went above and beyond to make it perfect. Great company!

Overall we had a very good experience with Innovative and would use them again. We had a couple of hiccups but they made them right quickly (e.g., forgot one side of one wall during interior painting and had to do it on the day they power-washed prior to exterior painting), and the end result looks great, We had a fair amount of peeling paint on our exterior trim and I feared there might be wood rot but luckily there wasn't -- even still, Innovative has carpenters on staff and said they would have been able to repair/replace any exterior wood that needed it. The main POC Mabel is very responsive/helpful as well.

Everything went smooth. They came and gave me an estimate, told me I could either purchase the paint or send them the paint colors I wanted for each room. They showed up on time, and finished in the stated time. They did a nice job.

We were extremely pleased with Innovative. They completed the job in a day and did an excellent job. We would definitely use them again in the future.

Excellent quality of work. Very good attention to detail. They weren't the cheapest option but they did a top notch job. They were extremely timely and professional. Best part was they move and put back all furniture. Overall I would definitely use again and recommend!

They did a FANTASTIC job! It looks wonderful, they were punctual, professional, hardworking and finished before my move in date, which was a real time constraint. I discussed this with Mabel, the manager, and she was able to have them start early and provided the number of people necessary so they could be sure everything was done on time. They called me during the four day job with one question, but otherwise needed nothing from me after the initial walk through and estimate. I cannot get over how easy it was for me. They are truly a no worries, no fuss, no drama service provider with the highest quality product. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Excellent! We could not have been happier with Innovation Inc. painters. They promptly answered my initial inquiry call, provided a detailed written quote that actually matched the final outcome (!), showed up on time, and had VERY friendly painters. Even when I called to change the paint options the day before they easily accommodated my request. We will DEFINITELY be using them again in the future!

We had an excellent experience with Innovative Inc. The estimate process went very smoothly and they offered a very competitive bid. The painting crew was extremely professional. They were very prompt, extremely hard-working and a pleasure to work with. The paint job -- and daily clean-up -- were very good. We would recommend this firm to others without hesitation. Things went well. Everybody arrived on time. They were very careful with my belongings. They got everything taped off and began the project. They finished everything in one day. There were two guys. After I purchased the coupon, I learned that it wasn't three rooms. It was basically 500 square feet. That was the maximum. I thought it was three rooms up to 500 square feet apiece because 500 square feet isn't really that much. Anyway, I just had them do the one room in the basement downstairs. Once we got the misunderstanding cleared up, we settled on the basement room and it worked out just fine. They were very good about it. I was pretty happy with them. If I have another project they would definitely being among the folks that I would call out to give a quote. They came right out and talked to me about it. They were very professional.
