I was having a problem with the key working in my lock, so they just cleaned it out and it worked after that.I used them because of their reviews and price.

I was going to order a custom built safe from a high end manufacturer. Prior to ordering Eastern Safe was selected by the manufacturer to do a site survey to see if the safe I wanted could be taken up my hardwood stairs. Dennis from Eastern Safe came out with the specifications of the safe I wanted, measured my stairs and inspected the location. He told me and the manufacturer they could do it. After I had fully paid for the very expensive safe and it was delivered to Eastern they arrived up at my house to install. They first damaged the safe slightly getting it off the pallet. When I asked them about it they told me the damage was already there. They got it to my front steps but could not get it over. They moved it into my garage, blocking one parking space and said they would come back in two days with more manpower. On the appointed day after waiting three hours of the four hour time window they had given me no one arrived. I finally called their office to be told their truck had broken down. I asked why no one had called, but they had no reason. I asked why they didn't just put the equipment in a van and was told it wouldn't fit. Even though all they had shown up with the first time besides the safe was a stair climber, a couple of drop cloths and two pieces of wood. It could have fit in a minivan with room to spare. So they rescheduled a second time for the following week. The following week they came with Dennis, who had done the site survey. He came inside, looked at my steps and said they cannot get it up the stairs. I reminded him the manufacturer had hired them to do a site survey and he had said they could deliver. He said he meant to the basement, not upstairs. I reminded him that he had measured my stairs and told me his main concern was that the landing was big enough to make the turn with the safe. He then said he had told me it had to be 800 pounds with the safe door on, not off. This safe is 800 pounds with the door off and they had already removed the door. Why it matters that the maximum weight he can handle is only with the door on made no sense. I told him that he had informed manufacturer directly, not just me, that he could deliver it. He said there was no way he could have said that and left. At the time of the site survey I had asked him if his stair climber could handle 800 pounds with the door off he said no problem, his stair climber was actually rated for 1000 pounds. So he flat out lied to me. They left me with a very expensive safe sitting in my garage, with the door off. Fortunately manufacturer was very responsive to my problem. They called in Advanced Security and Lock all the way from Baltimore. Ben from Advanced came that very evening to do a site survey and said he could deliver it upstairs. I told him it had to be installed this week and he called his office and rescheduled a couple of his guys. They arrived the very next afternoon with a lot more equipment than Eastern Safe. Within a couple of hours of when they arrived they had my safe in the exact location I wanted upstairs with absolutely no damage to my house or safe. Eastern Safe is a dishonest company. Not only did they lie repeatedly, but instead of even once acknowledging their mistakes they kept lying and left me stranded. Avoid them.

It took a little while because the keyhole was not a standard variety. So he had to make one.

It was extremely expensive, and they were late. They didn't really do anything but they charged me for the visitation fee. There were additional charges, I paid an extra $50. He was very polite. No, I would not consider using them in the future.

The locksmith had a hard time getting the deadbolts apart but he got it done. He made the keys and everything worked fine. I used an Angie's List coupon which was a good deal.

Eastern Safe and Lock advised me on a good lock. They know their locks. One can tell they are experienced. Unfortunately, the locksmith was many hours late due to traffic, but I received no notice in advance so had to wait around. That evening there was an issue with the newly installed lock - the lock was getting stuck so one had to lock and then unlock to open the door. Second locksmith came out next day first thing, was on time, and fixed the issue. They seemed overwhelmed with work. And perhaps it would have gone better if they were less busy. I do appreciate they came back to fix the issue asap though. Lock works fine now.

The locksmiths were friendly, fast, and did an excellent job. My one complaint is that I had to reach out to the dispatcher myself - I was never contacted after ordering the service through Angie's List.

They were successful in changing the door hardware and lock and keying alike to another door. The existing storm door would not have the lock changed.

They were prompt, courteous and did a great job at a fair price. Would definitely use again. Got some additional keys cut while they were there.

It went very well. The locksmith oiled all of the old locks, and installed the new lock. He was very professional and pleasant. I would hire this co. again.

Service arranged for 10:00 a.m.; at 9:30 I got a call confirming the locksmith would be here and going over what needed to be done. Locksmith arrived at 9:50 and determined the the deadbolt needed adjustment and not replacing to stop the "sticking". He first swapped out the offending door knob, which took 5 minutes! Then he removed the innards of the lock and worked on them in the van. When he replaced the lock on the door, it was very tight, and hard to make the key lock or unlock the mechanism. He then filed the strike plate down a little, and presto -- it was working smoothly and easily! Even with arthritic hands, it's a breeze to set the deadbolt now! Can't say enough nice things about Eastern --- from the initial phone call, to the ease of arranging an appointment, to the locksmith getting the job done! Highly recommend you use them for your next lock problem!

Went great and was done in a timely manner

Needed to re-key locks in new home. For what it cost us, the repair person said it could have been cheaper for us to replace the locks.

The tech was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent advice on the types on locks that were the best for our home. Getting a appointment was easy and they were very flexible on timing. He showed up on time and did a thorough job. Its good to work with such a competent company.

They came out and changed our locks. They re-keyed three locks for us. They came right on time and just a couple of days after I called them. The guy was very professional and nice. He made sure everything worked before he left.

The locksmith came to the house on time and gave me multiple option on which door to rekey. I appreciated the professionalism, flexibility and demeanor. Fantastic team to work with in the future.

I purchased the $35 for $75 Locksmith services from Eastern Safe & Lock. The purchase was supposed to be good until September, still some months away. I provided 3 dates I would be available as Eastern requested after I paid the $35. But, as the 30-day deadline to receive a full refund approached I had not heard from the company and they did not reply to my two emails. I later noticed the $35 for $75 offer had been replaced on Angie's List with a more expensive offer, for more services than I needed. I guess the company decided they were not making enough on the $35 offer. I did not want to risk losing my $35 so I asked Angie's List for a refund explaining the situation. I received the refund shortly thereafter. I know Eastern Safe & Lock has an outstanding reputation, lots of great reviews. However, I would not use them in the future, I prefer a company I can rely on to honor its offers.
