We had Air Plus come out a year earlier to service our A/C unit as it stopped blowing air all together. Technicians determined that the system charge was low and quickly filled the lines with the appropriate amount of refrigerant. One year later, the system stopped working again. Concerned that there may be a leak in the system, I called Air Plus again to come out and service the system. The technician this time looked at the work that was done by the previous Air Plus technician and called him out for his interesting decisions. Mainly, there was indeed a leak in the system but the last technician simply put thread lock on the valve. The thread lock didn't hold up and the leak returned. The technician this time took the time to replace the valve all together, filled the system with refrigerant again, and I was back to good ol' cold air. Through the summer of 2011 and 2012 I didn't have any issues with my system. I do not recall, but I do believe that they charged me for the refrigerant again despite. It's possible he cut me a break on the cost of that but I simply don't remember. Overall they were quick to answer their phones, had someone our rather quickly, and did a good job while at the house - except for the first service call in 2010.

We use them frequently because we are pleased with their service and prices. They are very responsive, he came out during a heat wave to check an aging air conditioner, he got it started up again. He told us we needed to think about it at some point. He gave us a competitive price and they were very neat, clean, and prompt. I am very pleased with the service. They just did things the way you would want them done.

Our A/C stopped working Thursday. I immediately consulted Angie's List and found a company close to me with lots of 'A' ratings. I contacted them and they said they would have someone call me Friday morning to arrange a service appointment. On Friday, the scheduler I spoke with said it would be sometime Saturday before they could fit me in; my condo was already well over 80 degrees inside, so I said I would look elsewhere. A work colleague gave me the phone number for Air Plus and said he was highly impressed with their service and their value. I called the number he had given me at 8am on Friday morning and the owner himself took the call and scheduled an appointment for 11am. The company owner was at my condo early - around 10:45 - examined my A/C unit and determined what was wrong and what needed to be done. Because the condenser unit was older and that particular part wasn't being made any longer, he said it needed to be replaced entirely. He quoted $3000 for the job, and originally said that it would be Monday before they could do the work. However, after checking with his warehouse he found that a replacement unit was available so they went ahead and did the work on Friday. Additional service techs arrived and as they were doing the repair, they discovered other parts of the unit that needed to be replaced. They replaced them as well but did not increase the cost of the job. They completed all the replacement/repair work by 3pm and the condo is now cool again. Throughout the job, the crew was professional and polite and kept us informed of what they were doing. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs HVAC services.

Overall it did not go well . I am dissappointed with their rude response.

The way customer service and professionalism are supposed to be. We received quotes from 4 separate companies, all on Angie's List. Air Plus' price was very competitive, and even more importantly, included extras and options that we did not think of adding for the same price that other providers did not include in their quotes. The initial estimate and quote was performed quickly and on time. The installation was also on time and completed with minimal disruption to our home. They followed up a couple weeks after install to come over and show us how to properly operate the system, and to ensure we were happy with the finished product. All in all, a truly superb experience. This is a great company. As an aside, and to show you how honest these folks are - during the post-install inspection, I asked if I could purchase a service contract. The owner said its not time for a service contract yet, lets wait a year... How often do you get people putting off a sale in this day and age? As I said, Air Plus is a great company to do business with.

They were prompt. They were reasonably priced. They were very clean. We liked them when they came out to replace our air-conditioner, so we called them for our water heater. I would rate them highly. I would continue to use them again in the future.

The work was scheduled for one day, but they called well in advance and asked politely to reschedule for a few days later due to delays in other work. The workmen came on time to the appointment and worked all day and completed the job carefully and neatly. The county inspector came by later and found everything in order. I am saving on heating and cooling as predicted and am very happy with the new system.

Our house dates from 1947 and had foundation ducts, i.e., the ducts were located in the concrete slab as we have no basement. Water found a way into these ducts, causing our house to be extremely humid, including in the winter. Mr. Kim came over and recognized the problem, recommended sealing the old ducts and moving the furnace to the attic, where all new duct work would need to be installed. We got two other quotes for the job in addition to Mr. Kim's, one 50% more, and the other almost exactly double. Mr. Kim planned the job thoroughly, and his staff led by Dimas showed up the very next day to begin the work. The staff was professional, and did an outstanding job. I recommend this company without hesitation.

I learned enough during the removal of the old unit and installation of the new to now know my previous service company had not been honest with me. Installation was quick and neat. Very well done. They arrived on time, 9AM had everything they needed, the furnace was installed with pre-assembled ducts that required very little tape. They hauled everything way when they left at 2 PM.

I had to pay $700 for 2 hours work--$250 per hour plus $200 for the maintenance contract. I have been a customer for many years and usually have a maintenance contract, which I want to cancel. They will not state an hourly rate, their price is set by the job. This call was for our furnace which is 9 years old and would not stay on. As it turned out there were bees entering the outside pipe and some nests were blocking the intake hose to the furnace. There is still repair work to be done on the cut pipe once we get rid of the remainder of the bees from the outside, but our furnace working. Does anyone else think that price is too high?

Overall I am perfectly pleased! These folks are very professional, top quality craftsmen. They were polite, punctual, cleanly, and very good at their trades. I was scheduled for a two day job and they made every effort to meet that schedule. Since the house is a 50+ year old, they ran into a few curves that needed extra special attention and came through it with no problems at all. I am so pleased with the work they did and the unit they've installed! I would recommend these folks to anyone out there. Thank you Mr. Kim!

Great experience! Mr. Kim took lots of time to talk to us and figure out what we need before presenting us with estimates. The day of the install was great - tons of work done all in one day. Everyone was polite and professional.

They were good. They were good in responsiveness. I would use them in the future.

They installed the air conditioning system last December. They didn't charge me for the May visit but we spent about $6000 in December. It was a free call in May. It was a very cold weather when they installed the system and they wanted to make sure that everything was good before the air conditioning season. We never had that much work done by anybody else before so I don't have lot of basis for comparison. They were on time and on schedule. They had a very competitive bid or a very competitive price. They cleaned up after themselves, pretty good. I don't have any complaints against them. The AC unit is performing fine. They were better than anybody else on their pricing. They came out right when they said they would. The installers were little better than the others.

I called Airplus late on a Saturday and the owner was willing to meet with me at my home early on Sunday which was extremely responsive. His was the third quote I received for the same work and was considerably more competitive. He also highlighted some areas that needed to be caulked to better insulate the house which he did free of charge (he mentioned the need AFTER we agreed on the price so it was truly an extra service he provided without charge). We agreed that the work would begin by 8:00 on Tues morning and be comple by 3:00 the same day. As he said, the crew was there at 8:00 and were finished well before 3:00. The crew was professional/ polite, appeared to know what they were doing and focused on the job at hand. The unit works great and I would recommend them to anyone. The owner, Mr. Kim, is extremely customer focused.

The quality of the installation seemed good. They were right on the mark in terms of their punctuality. There was no fault from their end. We needed the work done before the end of the year for the tax credit. The price charged by them was about the same amount as what another company quoted. There was no fault from their end. They cleaned up the installation well. It looks neat and it works well. When the county inspector came, he commented that it looked like a good job to him. I would use their services in the future too.

Extremely pleased customer. On Friday, 27 August my old air conditioner was on the verge of death. I called Air Plus at 7:05 to leave a message that I needed a service call. To my surprise, the owner answered the phone. He was at my house by 9:00 to assess the problem. We agreed it was time for a replacement, however he was able to give the old system just enough TLC to keep it running over the weekend so I would not swelter. He reviewed the options with me and we signed a contract. He did not charge me for services for that day. The installation date was the following Monday between 8:30 and 9:00. At 8:30 they were here. They worked until 2:00 getting everything done and tested. The Airplus personnel (3 of them) were courteous and professional throughout. They even took off their shoes every time they went in or out of the house (which was often as they were working inside and out). They removed all debris and swept. I am a very happy customer

They were very professional and did a good job of explaining the different options. When they had serviced my old furnace in the past they did excellent work and were pleasant to deal with.

I liked them. The guy came in on a Sunday so that was a plus. Everything went smoothly. He even arranged for me to get the financing for my unit. I would use them again in the future.

The team arrived as scheduled and on-time. They completed the entire job in one day. They were very courteous and careful. At the end of the install, they gave me complete instructions on how the system works and programmed the thermostat for me. They installed Trane equipment, and it is very quiet. We had some late season cold weather and the furnace performed as expected, providing very even heat. Have not yet given the A/C a complete workout, but expect to this month as summer arrives.

My old heating system was working fine, but very inefficient. While I wanted to get something more economical and ecologically friendly, I was flexible from a time standpoint. I shopped around and ultimately got bids from different companies. I also researched heating units and learned quite a bit about price and quality. While Air Plus was not the lowest overall bid, they were competitive and were offering the higher quality and more expensive unit. My research told me that, while I could have gotten a better price, when cost of the unit was factored in it was about the same as the lowest bid and probably better. While I could find little hard data on lifecycle costs, my choice of the more expensive unit, Trane over Carrier, was in anticipation that, in the long run, I will likely save on maintenance. Beyond price, additional factors behind my selection were the recommendation for solving a long standing problem with temperature differentiation between upstairs and downstairs rooms; an additional price break negotiated on the two zone control system; clear and common sense explanation of how the newer systems will work together including an efficient filtration system and constantly circulating fan unit; and a recommendation to pay more up front for a 95% efficient unit that would provide an ultimately lower purchase price following a $1,500 tax credit. Workers showed up a week in advance to take measurements and plan for the project. As should be expected, on installation day the workers showed up on time, worked efficiently, and were clean and very concerned with household disruptions. Several comments were made that their timeline was critical to efficiency and cost reduction. The prior planning that went into the job was evident. It was clear that this helped them keep the installation price to a minimum and very competitive. While they were very concerned with their timeline, the lead worker was interrupted on several occasions by my questions and he never hesitated to take time out to answer them in great detail. Several good natured comments were made by the workers about concern over a final installation inspection by the owner and president. I noted at several intervals corrections in neatness and good engineering practice were made based on this anticipated final review. I was told formally after the installation that the owner would be out within a few days to review the installation and answer any questions that I might have. Again the installation was completed on time with a minimal number of surprises and unplanned difficulties. Early in the morning of the next day, the heating unit with the fan on its high setting made an unusual rattling or buzzing noise as if something was loose in the intake plenum. A call to the company the next morning resulted in an immediate visit and resolution of the problem. The most impressive part of this entire process was the final inspection that occurred three days following the installation. By this point we were familiar with the operation of the unit. I have significant experience with engineering inspections. The president, Mr. Kim, conducted what I would call a rigorous inspection of the installation, the operation of the unit and all periphery equipment. He reinforced my knowledge of its operation, and asked if I had questions or concerns following the three days of operation. It was clear that his policy for post installation inspection kept the workers cognizant of their quality control in a very positive, non-retributional manner. Finally, I have witnessed no other company with employees that have such a positive outlook on their work and employer. It was evident that there is a level of trust, care and positive reinforcement of standards at work on a regular basis in this company. I believe that this is important to quality of work and customer satisfaction.

Mr Kim is the owner of this company and has been a part of the community for more than 20 years, I'm told. Martha is the admin int he office and has been with him that long as well. The workers who came to our house were here for a few days due to the complexity of the job. They were professional, clean and perfectionists with the work. When Mr Kim came to give us the quote he gave me what I thought was a "line" about how he treats every house like it was his own.. Turns out it's really true. He can ramble off the top of his head, various customers, by name that he's done work for and offers to allow you to call any of them. He also says he always tries to improve "one thing" in every home... In our case he improved a bunch more. These guys are on time (he even said I will meet you at 8:20, and meant it), skilled and seem to even enjoy the work they do. We had 5 companies from Angie's come and give us quotes, AirPlus beat the prices and the quality of the work. He's our A++ vendor now!
