BIG DOG MIRROR AND SHOWER

Upon reading a member's report of his June 30, 2011 experience with Jim Talbot that was almost identical to mine, I was moved to submit this in the hope of sparing others from a bad experience with BIG DOG. Talbot installed the shower enclosure and door. However, on further inspection, it was observed that the glass used to make the enclosure was marred with black scratches in multiple locations. Talbot returned in response to my complaint, determined that the markings could not be removed, and agreed to immediately replace the enclosure. Over the following three months, Talbot scheduled the replacement installation three times and failed to appear each time. Talbot never initiated a phone call regarding his no-shows! Ultimately, I obtained excuses for his no-shows that included "my truck broke down" "my wife's aunt died" "my grandmother was ill." Countless messages and phone calls attempting to schedule replacement of the enclosure were not returned until ultimately I gave up in frustration. The enclosure was never replaced and I never got my money back. My best guess is that Talbot suffers from either a mental illness and/or a drinking problem; he functions only when it suits him!!!!!

I have been unable to get in touch with him, since. Left multiple messages, but he has not returned either my phone call or my money. I am currently pursuing legal action. I would not recommend this person to do any work.

Jim did an excellent job putting exactly in what we wanted. He matched the fixtures to those we already had, worked within the existing design, came when planned, did the job quickly and neatly, and cleaned up after.
