Description of Work: 20 minute fix to a frozen water pipe that I already exposed and drained of water - $350... This wasn't even an emergency service call. I thought that $350 was a bit pricey when they handed me the bill.

We were satisfied and would use him again. He came within an hour of when we called and he called when he was on the way. We would absolutely use him again.
Description of Work: We used Plumb Crazy to put in a new kitchen faucet. He had to redo some of the copper piping underneath.

He then told me how much it would cost (I like the fact that Plumb Crazy charges by the job and not by the hour). Two valves were repaired and now we can begin the process of repairing damage from the leak. I am very grateful Plumb Crazy was able to send someone out on the same day without charging an "emergency" fee. Thanks!

Description of Work: He told me where the shut off valves were for the two outside faucets (right above the water heater) and it was easy to shut them off-he saved me a $150 trip by them and also may have prevented out pipes bursting as we are in a record cold wave here in Virginia!

 + -1 moreThe initially anticipated 3 jobs, plus the toilet leak and clearing the tub drain, took about 6 hours. Throughout the day the plumber kept me apprised of progress, answered all of my questions, and was generally very helpful and congenial. I was very pleased with the work, the plumber's skills, and his interactions.
Description of Work: This was 3 jobs in one contract. Kitchen: A different contractor installed a new counter top installed with a double sink in place of the existing single basin sink. Plumb Crazy came in and installed new drains, remounted the disposal, installed copper unions on my poly supply pipes, and installed a new faucet and soap dispenser, which I had bought separately. Main Bath: He replaced a leaky and unrepairable low quality tub/shower valve in my main bath. He had to cut through the wall from an adjoining closet. He provided the new, higher quality faucet and professional installation, with unions to poly type supply pipes. He also fixed a toilet supply tube leak and a very slow tub drain. Master Bath: Also included was the cost for a new high quality faucet for my roman tub. He began his installation of this rather high-end Delta faucet ($400 wholesale) but advised that unless I fixed the underlying tiles the installation might be flawed. I agreed to complete tile work before he comes back to complete that installation. He billed me for the faucet price, but not the initial installation labor he performed.

 + -1 moreWe called Scott on a Saturday night after we discovered water pouring out of our basement ceiling. He was available later that evening, but we agreed on Sunday morning since we had shut off the water and could live through the evening. He arrived Sun. morning and thoroughly examined the different possibilities of the source before cutting open the drywall in our dining room... and he found the culprit right away - a nail from some trim had pierced our water pipe and after the nail eroded it gave way to a high pressure water leak. He repaired the pipe and gave us referrals to water damage and drywall specialists. I think his price was very reasonable given it was an emergency visit over the weekend. Now that we've found a reputable plumber, he'll be our first call for future jobs.

 + -1 moreAfter trying everything I could to try to unclog our mysteriously clogged toilet ourself, I called Plumb Crazy on a Monday morning (after a weekend of torrential rainstorms). They were all booked up that day (the gentleman mentioned something about standing in a basement full of water when he returned my call - promptly, I might add), but they arranged to call first thing the next morning to set up a time. They called back right when they said they would and scheduled an appointment that day. The plumber who came out to my house was professional and knowledgeable. Before he began to work, he broke down the possible scenarios and how much each would cost. He managed to quickly clear the clog with a toilet auger (I had already tried that myself and failed) - which turned out to be caused by the three year old flushing baby wipes. The whole job took less than half an hour and our problem is fixed.

 + -1 moreThe day before we moved into our new home we turned on the bathroom faucet to find water running down the back of the sink. Also, when you flushed the toilet in the same room, it was running water much too long after you flushed it. We called and were able to get service the next day; the day we moved in. Frank arrived as scheduled and managed to fix both sink and toilet amongst the chaos around us. He was a friendly, patient and professional plumber. He showed us exactly what was wrong with the sink and toilet and replaced all parts then and there. Things are working well now and he left us some toilet tablets to use in the other toilets to test whether they might be leaking. He cleaned up after himself and left a magnet for future use. Although the cost was higher than I expected, I had not actually received an estimate prior to the service, so this is what such repairs cost I gather.

He them squeezed me in the schedule and had all work done, cleanly, within five hours. His estimate was $800, but I was charged only $650!

 + -1 moreI used Angie's List to find a plumber to remove the under sink filtering system. Since I live in Leesburg, VA, I decided to call Plumb Crazy, also located in Leesburg. I called around 10:15 a.m. on Monday, June 25th. I spoke to Scott Smith. I told him what I wanted to have done. He said that one of his workers was working another job nearby and that person can be at my house between 12 noon and 1 p.m. I told Scott okay. Shortly after 12 noon, Frank showed up. I showed him what needed to be done. He fixed the problem, finishing in about twenty minutes. Excellent service.
Description of Work: I needed to remove an under sink filtering system in the kitchen, and then have the water reconnected to the faucet.

The technician was prompt, courteous, and efficient. (We called them once before to find a leak in our walls and they were very thorough in their search, finally locating it in the water line to our refrigerator.)
