We called them on Labor Day because our hot water heater had stopped working and our regular service provider wouldn't do anything even though we had a service contract with them. The water heater was old and we had plans to replace both it and the furnace within a month or so, and in fact had an estimate from our regular service provider to do the work. (The furnace is situated in front of the hot water heater in a very tight space, and the furnace needed to be replaced. Our plan was to go ahead and swap out the water heater at the same time before it went bad, too. The water heater beat us to it, on a holiday weekend, of course.) The ME Flow repairman came out promptly and diagnosed the problem but was unable to get the lower element out. He had warned us well in advance that he may be unable to fix it that day, and that due to its age and condition he might not be able to fix it at all without causing a leak. We asked him to try, but between him and my husband, they couldn't loosen it. Eventually, the water heater did start to leak. So, the repairman drained it and called his supervisor and scheduled a crew to be here with a new unit first thing the next morning (Tuesday). They arrived promptly and began to remove the old furnace to get the water heater out and the new one in. By that afternoon, we had hot water. At our request, he also scheduled someone to give us an estimate on the furnace Tuesday morning. Their estimate turned out to be about half of the amount we had from our previous service provider for a furnace of the same quality and efficiency rating. We accepted their estimate for the furnace as well. They finished the furnace installation Wednesday. They were all very professional and courteous. The young man who came out on the holiday was very dedicated, honest and knowledgeable. We are very pleased with both the service and the products. Our house is much more comfortable this winter with the new furnace.

Darren did a great job. He willingly clambered into the tight space of the attic, diagnosed the problem, found the right part in his truck, gave us a good dentist referral in the neighborhood and was on his way. We also ended up buying an annual service contract (not included in the repair price quoted above).

They are very reliable. I have used this plumbing company before. Their price is reasonable and I don?t have any complaints. I am happy with them and I would use them again.

The repairman arrived on time and was very thorough. Installing the new filter, he told me the price would be about $49. Then he went out to the truck and returned with an invoice, which showed the cost of the filter at $130. Without my asking, he apologized for that and said the price of the filter had gone up. It was actually $149, he said, but he had discounted it somewhat. I was appalled, but took him at his word and paid the entire amount. Later that day, I went on-line to buy two more filters, to have on hand. To my surprise, they were priced, retail, at $49.95 plus shipping. My first thought was that his oiffice must have given him the wrong price. Since he was coming back to do the additional work, I figured I would straighten it out then. Called the company, and after a bit of telephone tag spoke to Frank (last name unknown). To my surprise, he denied that the price was wrong, and went into a long, fast-talking explanation of the costs they had to cover, including parts stock on trucks, benefits for employees, etc.) I pointed out that this was irrelevant, that he certainly wasn't paying retail for the filters, and that normal business practice would be to sell at or close to the manufacturer's direct retail price. More fast talk. Bottom, line was "No, that's our price - tough if you don't like it." How can anyone justify a 200 percent markup over retail? I have cancelled the come-back call (originally scheduled for today) and now will have to find a HVAC contractor to do the additional work. Meanwhile, since Aprilaire recommended him, I have made a telephone complaint to them, and will be following up with a letter

They are great! I liked everything about them. After they left I realized that they took the old shower head, which I would have kept. They didn't ask me if I wanted to keep it. They were great to work with.

They are wonderful and there is nothing I dislike about them. They have been doing work for us for over a number of years.

It was an excellent experience. They did everything very quickly. They were careful about destroying property. They cleaned up after themselves. They had to come back to change, repair or redo something that they had done. They did that quickly.

The price was good. They were professional. They did a great job! The only issue that we had was that it took them the whole day that they were here, until 10:00 at night. It was such a brand new system and they have a new computer system, and the guy didn't really know it. They had to come back the next day, and we had to take off work, and he had to go through the system. We are very reasonable people, and we understood. It wasn't that big of a deal, and we know that things come up. They came on time. They were very helpful. They called the manager at 10:00 at night and he came over then to try and figure it out.

They are a good company. I think they are pretty decent and I actually like them. They have come out a couple of times in the past for various things. My service contract was $150 for two inspections - once in the winter and once in the summer. I have had the summer one done but not the winter one yet. They were here for an hour and a half and inspected all my plumbing. At first, I thought that they were a little high-priced. They priced out the changes that they recommended, and when I went to another plumber to get the changes done, it ended up being the same price. I regretted not having gone back to them because my original contract was with them. I plan on using them for any future stuff. When I had them come out to fix my air conditioner, it was $85 for the service call.

They seem to know their business and they are priced reasonably. We pay a little extra to keep everything maintained but we like having the peace of mind in knowing that it is all covered.

They cut a pipe that leaked all over the carpet, but they reimbursed the cost to replace the carpet with no problems. I am pleased with their service and would use them again. They are a really good company.

Our water heater failed on Labor Day morning. Picked several companies from Angie's list. Most did not have emergency service. One quoted $1650 but could not do it until Wednesday, two days later. Contacted Stacy at M.E. FLOW. He physically checked the warehouse and determined they had a replacement heater. Quoted $2250 as the cost to replace the heater on a holiday. We chose to have them do the work because we had company coming on Wednesday. Stacy contacted the plumber on call and told me he would be there in an hour to an hour and a half. He then contacted another on call employee who arrived in about twenty minutes to insure the tank was empty and to disconnect some of the pipes before the plumber arrived. Troy arrived less than an hour after my request. He removed the old water heater and put in the new one in 1 1/2 hours. He also replaced a leaking hot water valve for an additional $275. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and totally professional. The only less than satisfactory part of the job was the price, but the facts that it was a holiday, the response was immediate, and the job completed quickly helped mitigate the extra cost. Figuring the cost of the materiel was about $1000 (per internet quotes) that meant the labor charge was about twice that of the company that could not come for two days. Given the circumstances, however, I would definitely use M.E. FLOW again.

Good experience - Mr. Nightingale understood his system.

It was such a positive experience. I called for an appointment mid-morning when I discovered some water in the attic and the company said they could send someone in the afternoon. They called to give me a 15-minute notice of arrival and Darren arrived soon thereafter, introduced himself and listened patiently while I described the problem. He was careful to cover his shoes before coming upstairs and was a great sport about working in our steamy attic. Once he diagnosed the problem (a fitting in the pump had broken, enabling water to leak), he showed us the broken part and said he'd try to find a similar fitting to repair the pump, in an attempt to avoid more expensive replacement. After a while, he said that he did not have the right part and that we'd need to replace the pump for about $250, to which we agreed readily (it had been a hot night without A/C the night before). It was a very pleasant surprise that he subsequently told us that he'd made a last effort to find the right fitting in his truck and that he could repair it after all, which was a savings of about $125. We then asked if he would inspect both systems so we could get on a service plan, and even though it was around 5:30, he graciously agreed to do the inspection. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to have as a resource and in our house. We even somehow ended up on the topic of dentists and he gave us a great lead on a local dentist! I could not be happier with ME Flow's and Darren's responsiveness, professionalism and customer service. Darren inspires a lot of confidence.

Very well. The technician introduced himself, started his inspection, provided some feedback and answered my questions. He changed the air filter, went outside to inspect and again provided feedback.

I had requested the job be done in one day. Since it was a failry large job, they assigned a crew of 4, twice the normal size crew. They showed up on time and completed the entire job in a day. They made one mistake in drilling through the brick walls when they hit a steel window lintal. They called in a specialist to repair the damage while installation continued. Friendly and competent people. I was somewhat disappointed because they did not install decorative covering over the outside coolant lines. I had assumed that would be part of the job, but discovered it had not been included in the proposal. My fault

They were very efficient. They were very good and quick. The cost was what they said it would cost and the unit works great. All in all, it was a good experience.

They sent Carl, a sales person who is very knowledgeable, really good and advised the right system. He figured out what our needs were and tried to give us the new equipment without overselling. He was very honest and after he left he immediately arranged for the installation. He followed up after regularly even several days of installation. I feel really comfortable using them as their equipment is really good and so is their price. Overall it was a nice experience.

After a four day wait, the service call was made (almost missed us when they phoned to verify someone was home at 5 minutes before 8:00 even though they said "between 8:00 and noon"). The workman immediately said he could not do the job! Said he was expecting something different, despite a detailed description of the problem (leaking pump fitting) and system (furnace for baseboard radiator) provided. He then said it would be over $500 and would take 4 to five hours when and if it could be scheduled. He said I should call Dwyer or do it myself! he then gave me a messy receipt and charged me $89.95 (I was warned the service call woudl be this much). I have not heard back from the company since then! DO NOT USE THEM.

Cleaned evaporator coil, sold me annual service contract. First cold day, furnace wouldn't start. Came out & told me it was shot, all visibly rusted, would need a whole new system. Clearly did not even do a visual check of heating portion in July! Bought new system through cheaper company & requested refund of $140 service contract. They sent me a check for only $50. Months later a contract renewal notice arrived for the previous owner--apparently the previous owner had been sold the same service contract on the same bad HVAC system only 3 months before me! Even if the contract doesn't convey to a new owner, they had to have known the poor condition of the system both times they sold a contract on it.

Clear explanation of what would be included; work done on dates specified; cleaned up after the work.

We called them to figure out why our house was not heating, and even on New Years Eve they had someone available to come out promptly. Louis was very courteous, showed respect to our carpets (and dogs), thoroughly inspected our furnace system and honestly told us it was just the thermostat. We agreed to a maintenance plan, and in the end it was very cost-effective. Now the house is heating well and we have no problems.

I've had them out a couple times and they are good. I would recommend them. They were punctual and very pleasant to work with.

When the technician did our annual check up, we were originally told, besides the furnace, we also needed to replace an air handler that was less than 5 years old. It did take some time to get this resolved, with my husband having to call several times to get a response about why they were recommending the replacement of equipment that they had installed not that long ago. Turns out that was still under warranty with the company, so after some back and forth about what would be done, we decided to go with the furnace and the water heater at the same time. We figured we were on borrowed time with that. The work was scheduled within a few days of our deciding what was to be done. The installers showed up ahead of their 8:30 a.m. scheduled time, and worked all day to complete the installations. They were very careful about removing their shoes, even though they had to go in and out of the house frequently, and placed large pieces of cardboard on the floor so as not to damage the rugs or floor. In spite of that, there was one place where the hardwood floor was gouged about 4-6 inches long, so I am still waiting for M.E. Flow to get back to me with how that will be remedied. As far as the installation, that was done satisfactorily, with them taking away the old furnace and water heater, and cleaning up around the work area. Evidently, in hooking up the water heater, they loosened a connection which resulted in a small leak we found a day later. They sent someone right away to assess and fix that problem, which was minor.

The first guy arrived a bit earlier than expected, but that was okay. He was polite and seemed to know what he was doing. He could not find the clog with his 75 foot snake, even after he went down into the crawl space, so he called in another plumber who had a 1500 ft snake. He got there about an hour later, and they finally found the clog and broke through and were done about an hour later. In my original phone call I was told the trip charge would be 69.95. I was told they charge by the job, not by the hour. I was never given an estimate for the work. I was a bit strapped because I had company and this was the guest bath that was clogged. After they did the work they told me that because of the job, they were going to charge me by the hour! They also charged me 79.95 for the trip charge and $900.00 for the work, with no bill itemization. I have called them to ask for an explanation, have talked to two people, who sent me to a third, who has not called me back yet. I have spoken to some co-workers who feel I was way overcharged for this work and should have been told what the charges would be up front. I will update this if I ever get a response. After talking to the manager, $365 was taken off of the overall cost.
