Fixed jamming lock and cleaned and reset other locks using same keys.

I had them come out to replace a broken lock on the front door. They did this, and also checked the deadbolt to see if that one was ok. All that needed was some WD-40. While they were here, I asked about the lock on the upstairs bathroom door. After checking it out, he told me that if I could handle a screwdriver, he thought I could replace the doorknob myself. He was right! I went to the hardware store, bought a new doorknob and installed it the same day! These guys were great; very prompt and courteous. I would definitely use them again.

They were able to come out the same day to provide the service. They are a local business and I like to support them. They are great people and I have worked with them in the past. I would recommend them to others.

Neal was very friendly, and professional, and did a great job for us. They called 20 minutes before arrival just like they said they would, and their pricing was fair. Great job, and I recommend them.

Knowing how much it cost to buy "chip" keys from the dealer, hardware store, etc. I ordered 2 blanks online then called around to several places for programming and cutting. All were $100 or more or could only use their blanks. Spencer's quoted $85 to do both keys but they actually only charged $65 once the work was done. They did the work right away and I couldn't be happier with any aspect of this experience.

Rich, the technician, called one half hour before scheduled arrival to say he was on the way. He arrived on time and proceeded to do all the installations quickly and efficiently.

I called on Monday the 8th and scheduled for Thursday the 11th. I mentioned that I found them on Angie's list and had a 10% off coupon. I was given a window between 11 am and 3 pm - where they would call me [giving me a 30 minute warning]. I explained that I needed locks on 4 doors replaced (interior garage, exterior front, exterior back, and exterior basement walkout). I indicated that all should work on the same key (wanted a set of 5). They mentioned that only the first 2 keys were free. They gave me a quote to change 4 lock mechanisms at XX dollers per mechanism + plus a higher "service call" fee. The caveat - they should have asked me if any of the doors had multiple mechanisms - exterior basement walkout and exterior back each had 2. Thus, I actually had to pay for 6 locks. On Thursday the 11th, they called at 1:55 pm informing me that they would be there at 2:10 pm. I work nearby (20 mins away) and did not take lunch until my call came through. I got there at 2:15 and let the locksmith into my house. He had no qualms removing his shoes when asked. It was here that they informed me that some of my doors had multiple locks. I asked how long it would take - he said 30 minutes. I went around the corner and picked up a sandwich - was back within 15 minutes. He was done. The keys provided all worked (and fit better than my previous keyset). He gave me a write-up for a service call, 6 locks, 3 keys [taxed], and a 10% (Angie's List) discount. In summary, they came within the appointed time and performed the work asked in a respectful and prompt manner. However, it would be nice if the appointment windows were smaller (2-3 hours) - and they asked if any doors have multiple locks during the initial call. Sincerely, -- Mark Nitsche

The gentleman was friendly, courteous and an experienced locksmith who identified the problem immediately. I was having a problem locking and unlocking the door. After he repaired the lock, it worked smoothly.

They are very professional and courteous. Even though I screwed up by not being at the house at the right time, they were still able to send someone out 30 minutes after I called. When the locksmith arrived, he was friendly and completed the job in a matter of minutes.

The locksmith was friendly and didn't try to up-sale me. Got the work done fast. He came within the time window I was given but I would have preferred a set appointment time.

I am TREMENDOUSLY HAPPY with the service we got. The team was easy to reach, easy to communicate with, responsive, punctual, and professional. Charles came out and explained what had gone wrong with the current lock to my wife, and came back with a new deadbolt that he keyed to match the new lock on the front door (and didn't even charge us for the second visit). Charles worked his tail off to drill the deadbolt receiving frame wide enough to receive the bolt. I sat there, doing other work while he worked on it, and I could tell it was not easy. He was determined, and he got it done, and was cool even as it was looking like it might not be possible. Charles was great, and I'd recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. THANK YOU!!!

I called several locksmiths and Spencer's provided a reasonable estimate (hard to provide an exact estimate without seeing the door) and was able to come out that same morning. The locksmith (Rich) was prompt, professional and obviously knew what he was doing as he opened the door in about 30 seconds. They fixed the door in minutes and replaced the lock for about $30 less than what the other companies had estimated. I would definitely use them again.

I last used them a few weeks ago. They replaced a lock. They gave me recommendations and I went with that. They came when they said they were going to come. It took them about thirty seconds to break the lock. It is thirty five dollars labour for each lock. I thought that was an unreasonable price. I would not use them again due to their pricing structure. It is pricey for less than two minute labour.

Each door had two locks. One bolt lock and one key lock. I did have that before and I was surprised. Not disappointed, just surprised. They were on time and got the job done very quickly. The locks work well.

They tried to help us out with the different parts before we actually had them to come out. They tried to help us fixed the locks before we had to replace which was very nice and they didn’t have to go that extra mile to do that.

I got my locks changed by Spencer's Safe & Lock. I last used their services probably in August, because we bought the house and we had a lot of stuff done. They came out and changed the locks right there. I had no problems with them.

The technician arrived promptly and immediately began working. He installed all the items and answered my many questions.

Was satisfied with this company. Easy to schedule and they worked around my schedule. They replaced deadbolts and adjusted deadbolts on another door that was sticking. Their price was competitive and lower than the larger brand name companies. After the technician left, I found out that some of the other keys he made were not working on the other locks. I called him and he came right back and fixed the problem. Only suggestion is that buy your own locks from Home Depot or Lowes as their price has a mark up--not unusual. I would definitely use them again.

Excellent service! I called the week prior to set appointment. On the appointed day, technician Rich called in advance to inform he was on the way, and arrived within the expected window. We have quite a number of exterior entrances to this house, most on 2-cylinder deadbolts as well as knob locks. Due to hardware replacements over time, several locks needed to be re-keyed, others were no longer functioning smoothly. Rich worked very efficiently to address the issues and fix us up. Better than we'd hoped, he got several existing locks back to working smoothly and on the common key, when we'd fully expected to have to invest in some replacements (therefore saving us $ - much appreciated!). Cut a number of new keys for us to finish the job. Total cost for services rendered was a great value from my perspective..... I'd gotten estimates from two other companies, both of which would have been higher, and my sense is less customer-friendly had I gone with them. Double-kudos to Rich because the day he came out was our coldest to date - didn't seem to phase him! Overall, great experience and I'd certainly call Spencers first should I ever need any further locksmith work. Thanks to Rich and to Spencers!

I submitted a request for service through Angie's List in the early evening - Spencer's called me within 15 minutes of my online request and set an appointment for the next day. Very impressive responsiveness. The locksmith arrived on time and re-keyed three exterior locks on our house. The locksmith noted that one lock on the door in our garage was broken and provided a list of our options. At our request, he removed the lock and installed a new one in the same, original visit. The service was prompt and professional. Will use again if needed.

Perfect. The shop is easy to work with. The locksmith arrived a little ahead of schedule, which was very important under the circumstances. When it was time he did the work efficiently. Price was very reasonable. Excellent service.

Great experience from making the appointment to getting the job done. Got a 15 minute heads-up call, and the technician (Rich) arrived at the beginning of the 2-hr window. He was friendly, professional, and worked very efficiently. If I need a locksmith in the future, I will definitely give Spencer's another call.

I emailed several lock companies through Angie's list for an estimate of changing the locks in my home since I very recently moved in and the Kwikset locks installed were very difficult if not impossible to open. Spencer's was not the cheapest price, but they quoted me a reasonable price for Schlage locks. I did not want the current locks replaced with Kwikset. I called the office and set up an appointment. They had to order the locks, but were still able to come out and perform the service just a couple of days after my call. They gave me a 4 hour window for service when I set up the appointment and as promised, Rick called about 1/2 hour before he arrived to let me know he was on his way. I really appreciate this courtesy as I have 2 indoor cats that I wanted to secure so they would not inadvertently run out the door. Rick was very professional and courteous. He changed the locks very quickly and made sure I was aware that the Schlage door handles were somewhat different from the Kwikset in that they would turn and open from the inside while still being locked (Kwikset knobs would not turn at all even from the inside if they are locked). I appreciated that as he probably saved me from locking myself out on the deck. All the locks work smoothly and the service was completed in less than an hour. The price I paid was less than the original estimate even after the 10% Angie's List discount. I would definitely recommend Spencer's if you need the service of a locksmith.
