Spencer's Safe & Lock

Excellent; this was the second time I have used Spencer Safe and Lock. The provided the same great, reliable service this time as the first. They will definitely be my go-to locksmith in the future.

These guys were great. They spent many hours trying to get the handset installed only to discover there was a bent internal part. Once they found that and straightened the defective part the install was done in 20 minutes. Was so happy they were willing to work until the job was complete instead of having me go back to Baldwin.

Technician was prompt, courteous and offered more than one solution from which we could choose. He replaced the lock at our request and cleaned up the area before he left. I would definitely call on them again for future needs.

I dropped off a damaged lock to a cabinet along with a key for either a repair or a matching replacement. Three weeks went by with no response. The contact person said he had left a voice mail, but that is very unlikely, as I get a lot of voice mail communication, and have never had a problem with that. Also, when I asked what number he called, he couldn't tell me, so I chalk it up to shabby record-keeping and follow up.

- Called and made appointment for next day to rekey locks. They asked me how many copies of keys I needed. - The locksmith called to let me know that he was on his way, very friendly and professional. - He replaced my broken door knob, and rekeyed all the locks quickly and didn't charge me for the copies of extra keys because I was a new customer. - I will definitely call these guys again if I need any other locksmith work done.

I I am happy. I called right after Spencer's opened and spoke to Doug. I told him the problem, he asked me for the number from my key, and, made an appointment to come out between 10 and 1. Shortly after 10, I received a call from Doug and he arrived a few minutes later. He was all prepared with the equipment that was needed. The job included rekey cylinder, strike adjustment, and, duplicate keys. Doug was friendly and very knowledgeable. He made sure all of the keys worked before leaving. I would definitely use Spencer's again.

It went extremely well, I've used them before and they always do good work.

I called in the morning and a tech was at my home by noon. He was very knowledgeable and was able to remove the old lock and install a new one (I purchased it separately). No problems!

Working with Spencer's was great. Scheduling the appointment was very easy--the office staff was friendly and scheduled the appointment quickly. They told me upfront what the charge would be. Doug is wonderful! He called in advance to let me know he would be arriving shortly and was right on time. He got right to work and I was impressed with his courtesy, skill, and professionalism. He clearly knows his business. I also found the price to be more than fair. Because I had bought several door knobs (not knowing which one would work on the front door), I asked him to replace the door knob and deadbolt in our basement, even though I had not arranged for this work in advance. He was happy to do the extra job. The work ended up being more complicated than I expected, but he still kept the price very reasonable. He also cleaned up all the used parts and used a vacuum to clean up all the work areas. I wish all service providers were like Doug and Spencer's! I heartily recommend them!

As I was preparing to leave my home for work, a part of the doorknob came off essentially locking me out. I drove to Spencer's Lock and Safe to request assistance. He immediately sent someone who was close to my home. The technician arrived quickly and proficiently opened my door and replaced the broken know with lock. Total time not including the 20 minutes of driving to/from store, from lockout to a new lock, 1 hour. Very satisfied with the quick, professional response. To add, the technician was able to make several additional keys for my new lock from his truck.

Doug was awesome. He could not have been more professional, and determined that both project were completed perfectly. I will most definitely use Spencer's Safe & Lock again, and recommend them. I had a VERY BAD experience on two visits with a different large company in Leesburg, VA (and other areas).

I called to get a quote and was connected directly to James, not to a touch tone menu. He quoted me and I was so impressed by the price that I went ahead and scheduled for three days later. In the interest of making sure it would go smoothly, I wrote an e-mail the next day and sent pictures of my locks so they would know what to expect. James was very responsive to the e-mails and was able to send the right number of keys along and narrow down the quote more specifically with my extra information. Doug called right at the beginning of the three hour window to let me know he was on his way. He arrived from DC about 45 minutes later, which is not bad considering traffic, and went right to work. He conducted himself exceptionally well, was very polite and friendly and clearly knowledgeable. He started with the hardest part, drilling holes for installing the new deadbolt, installing said deadbolt, and then replacing the knob on the same door, and then he vacuumed and cleaned up completely afterward. Then he rekeyed the front door and the basement door and had them done very quickly. Finally, he took a look at the proprietary deck door he claimed he had never seen before and got the lock assembly apart in a matter of minutes. Then he rekeyed it and put it back together in the course of about 20 minutes, which is pretty good for an assembly he'd never seen! He got it done and it works like it was never touched, except that it now works with the new keys common to all the doors. I will definitely be calling Spencer's again when I need lock work done. I could not be more pleased with their work!

Spencer Safe & Lock provided really great and professional service. I needed my doors rekeyed and some locks changed over a weekend, and Spencer was able to provide the service on short notice when other brick-and-mortar locksmiths (as opposed to the non-reputable mobile locksmiths) were not. I believe the locksmith who came to my house was named "Neil". He was very professional, friendly, and quick. I would definitely use Spencer for my locksmithing and safe needs in the future.

My front door lock was completely broken. I was locked out of the house with kids! I called Spencer ' s and Doug came out right away. It was less than an hour from the time of the call to the lock being replaced. Doug was very professional.

We just got a new townhouse, Spencer's was able to schedule a call within 3 days. The uniformed locksmith arrived on time in a well marked truck. He re-keyed the front door in about 2 minutes. I thought that all 6 of the locks were keyed alike, it turned out that I only had keys for the front door, so he had to pick the other two, which took a little over 45 minutes. He was able to cut extra keys for me and I was very impressed with the professionalism and integrity of the locksmith. At one point, he stepped on a part for the back door deadbolt which deformed it. Rather than leave me with a sticky lock, he replaced the deadbolt at no charge. Then he replaced the knob (also at no charge) because it didn't match the new deadbolt. I couldn't be happier with the service and value. Highly recommended.

We had a single deadbolt lock that broke in the locked position, so we could not open the door. Spencer Safe & Lock came out the same morning I called, replaced the inside locking mechanism while retaining the original lock housing (no repainting the door, etc!), rekeyed that lock, replaced the same thing on another identical door and lubricated a third door. By addressing our problem in this way rather than replacing the entire lock, we saved a lot of money and additional headache. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Onside technician: Overall, excellent service : - The locksmith arrived during the scheduled time frame, and called me ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. - He rekeyed all the locks very quickly and didn't charge me for the new keys. - I asked him if he thought some of the locks should be replaced because they were a bit wobbly and told me this was what this type of lock did, it wasn't defective. I really appreciated his honesty, that would have been the perfect occasion to sell me a $500 new lock, and he didn't. Pre-sales: they were prompt to answer my call and accommodated my difficult schedule. Very cordial on the phone and all. I will definitely call these guys again if I need any other locksmith work done.

No problems at all, which weren't resolved right away.

The process went well. I called on Saturday, and the voice mail service paged them with my message. After a short conversation we scheduled a time for Monday (today!). The technician called about 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time, and arrive right on time. The tech took a look at the lock, asked for the existing key, and went to work. In about 15 minutes both locks were re-keyed, and I received the copies that I asked for. The service couldn't have been any better, and I would highly recommend them.

Best contract work in years. They did the call ahead as planned and showed up on time. Two guys arrived at the house and they were professional, fast and efficient. Really couldn't ask for more or better. I would highly recommend to anyone and was obviously very impressed.

I can't realistically imagine better service.

I was very pleased with the services provided. It took more than one visit because I'd specified high security locks due to an ex-husband with locksmithing skills. They had to order some parts that were not in stock after surveying the work to be done. The locksmith showed up in a clearly marked van and wearing a shirt and hat that had the company logo. He was friendly and good at explaining things. On the first visit he saved me from being locked out and did a survey of the doors that needed lock changes so he could order the parts necessary for what I wanted. The second visit he had all the parts he had ordered. He quickly took care of the primary entrance and mailbox locks. He was also able to quickly install the Charlie bar for the sliding glass door. He had to take the locks to the furnace doors and the lock for the slider back to his office to look up some kind of codes so that he could make them as secure as possible. He returned quickly and finished the doors to the furnace. However, the lock on the sliding glass door required complete replacement, apparently a previous owner had damaged the working parts. He didn't think he had the lock in stock. So I paid for the work done, and he left. Just a short time later he called me and told me he DID have the entire mechanism in stock and if I were going to be there a few more minutes he could replace the sliding glass door lock and replace the broken handle. I waited, he came. He had that changed out and working in just a few minutes. The things that I was impressed with were, 1. I could identify that he was who I'd called. 2. They were able to respond quickly to a lock out situation. 3. He was able to get all the parts and set me up with keys to everything even those things that I had not received keys for from the previous owner. 4. Everyone I spoke with on the phone spoke good English and communicated clearly and were able to set up appointments with no hassle. 5. He went the extra mile to check for the sliding door mechanism even though he thought he'd have to order it and then called me before I left to bring another load to move in. If I ever need a locksmith I'll be calling this company again.

Awesome job and company. While on travel, got the phone call that a bedroom door was locked and no one could get it unlocked. Called Spencer's and within 30 minutes a tech was at the house. Seems a past owner put a lock requiring a key on the door, so the usually tricks of unlocking an inside door failed. Took the tech a few minutes but he was able to get the door open without too much trouble.

The technician replaced the deadbolt lock and rekeyed the bottom lock at my request. He was prompt - in fact, I almost missed him because I was running a bit late. He was nice, even passed me the package from the UPS delivery. He did believe that it was unnecessary to replace the deadbolt but I had had a problem with it last year and insisted that it be replaced. He did get a little annoyed that I changed the payment method on him. I was having the locks changed after a breakup and was upset so I could not see well enough to write out the check.
