For some reason this typical DIY toilet tank assembly replacement did not go so well and I could not get the tank to stop leaking. H&S plumbing was able to get everything in working order within a short period of time. It was expensive considering how inexpensive the parts are and that typically homeowners can make this repair on their own -however, since I was unable to get the tank to stop leaking, I was thankful for the expertise of the H&S Technician and I was willing to pay the price. H&S Plumbing is reliable, professional, and most of all they have been honest.

The next instance was within this past year when our bathtub had leaked down into our living room ceiling. Again H & S came out and found it was a much simpler repair than it had looked to us. This repair too has held up. We also had them go around our house and stop the dripping faucets in all the sinks and showers. The entire repair, of tub and sinks and shower was @ $300.

The technician arrived right at the scheduled time and was very professional. He explained everything that he was doing, showed me each part that was being replaced to show the damage. This is the third time I have used H&S Plumbing and have always been completely satisfied.

It went extremely well. From beginning to end was less than 15-minutes. The plummer said he did not have to use a torch to facilitate the repair and that the valve was installed such that it made it easy to replace therefore the cost was at the low end of the estimate. I was told that the life expectancy of the old valve was about right. I told him I feared flooding as when the first valve failed ten years earlier. He told me the original developer installed valve was probably made of plastic which caused the flooding. He assured me the valve that was being replaced and the replacement valve would not leak if the internal diaphragm failed. He explained to me what had made the thumping sound, and offered to give me the old valve if I so desired. He was very reassuring regarding the sound I heard and what could be expected if the valve were to fail.

They are local and I have used them for over twenty years. Their prices are very reasonable. They are pros and they are always on time.

Family owne business, their estimates are conservative, and they do a splendid job. They will try every way to save you money.

They gave me good service. The overall experience was excellent. They were able to squeeze me in because it was an emergency. I would use this provider again.

They have always been wonderful. They are very responsive and have even come over the holidays when my mother had an emergency with her disposal. They are very professional and I will continue to use them in the future.

They are hard to get. I have been using them for 15 years. If you have an emergency you can't call them. All my friends use them and we all think their prices are very good. I would recommend them understanding that if it is an emergency, no. If it is something planned, yes. I will absolutely continue to use them.

They have done things like installing the toilet for us which was the most expensive thing they did. They also installed a sewage disposal and one good thing they did was they told us it would be less expensive for us to go out to a particular provider and they gave us the steps we should follow and they installed it. They could have told us that they would only install what they could get and I thought that that was a really good part of the experience. I think they are very professional. One time we had a problem with our water pressure valve and that is one of the things where we got to shut the water off in the house or we are going to have a flood in the basement. Their schedule was booked when we called them but what they did do was they found us someone else to do the work and again I thought that that was very helpful. We would use them again in the future; in fact, we are about to use them within the next week or two.

They were really good. I had them come even on a Saturday. They were accommodating. I would use them in the future.

They are friendly and responsive, which I really like. Also, I feel that their pricing is fair.

Very well run company. Quite friendly and helpful. Let me go buy a new toilet to save some money after first visit and then returned later in the day to complete the install. Waited to be paid until all work was done after second visit. The way a service company should be run!!

H&S Plumbing has been our plumber of choice for over 10 years. We have found their personnel to be knowledgeable, professional and punctual - which has led us to be repeat customers.

We had purchased both faucets in advance from other suppliers. We asked H&S to modify the new high-arc kitchen faucet so it would be 3 inches shorter, and they did a very neat job cutting a cylindrical section of the faucet. They did a careful job installing both faucets and the two drain pipes, checked thoroughly for leaks, and identified and corrected a leak from the garbage disposal.

Only took about 1 1/2 hours for all of the work. The repairman was very professional and very helpful and provided advice on various other plumbing questions.

I love them. They are very good. That is who I use when my other plumber is not available. They are a little less expensive than my other plumber. They are excellent plumbers. I have never had any problems with them. Many years ago in the 90?s we had a really bad ice storm here and everybody?s basements flooded. That?s when our sump pump broke. It was an emergency and our other plumber couldn?t come because everybody was calling them. So they recommended H & S Plumbing and they came out and saved us. So, I was very lucky. They also recommended a backup sump pump that is not battery driven, but it is water pressure driven. I really liked that and I never have to worry about changing the batteries. I always use them for that. I called them first actually for sump pumps and they said they don?t work with sump pumps, but my other plumber does. Sometimes when I need plumbing, I call H & S Plumbing first because they are less pricey than my other plumber. Sump pumps are not cheap and so it seemed like a lot to me at that time between the sump pump and the hourly charge. So it was mostly the sump pump. The price is not that much below my other plumber and they are also more available than my other plumber because my other plumber is in much demand. Sometimes it is worth paying extra if you know that you can get a good job done. I have only had H & S Plumbing out twice. I would use their services again if I can?t get my other plumber because they recommended them and I don?t think they would recommend someone they didn?t think would do a good job for their long term customer.

The plumber that arrived was very professional , did a great job ,and the price was fair.

They did a fantastic job, everything was great. They even arrived 15 minutes early. We've used their services for a long time and we really like that we can count on them.

Once again, H&S saves the day. Our disposal stopped working completely, and H&S worked me through a possible fix with a manual reset rather than just using the reset button. I used an Allen wrench and poof! it worked. They didn't have to do that - they could have charged for a service call. They're terrific.

The cost was $240 + parts for a total of $272. He was here for a total of 1 hour or possibly 1 hour and 15 minutes, tops, although when I called the office Sharon said that he had down that he was here for 1 1/2 hours. Wouldn't be that big of a deal except they charge $35 for every 15 minutes of work. Seems exteremely high for the work performed. I believe that the time he took looking at the other problem that he couldn't fix was where my money went with no results. I explained this all to Sharon and she told me to go look at Checkbook because their prices were indeed reasonable. Not great customer service if you ask me. On top of this, he was late. They gave me a 10:00-1:00 window. I spoke to the owner of the company in the morning and asked if the tech would be here on the earlier side or later side and the owner responded that he'd be here earlier. He showed at 1:30.

H&S has done numerous smaller jobs for me in the past and I have always been satisfied. I asked for a quote for the work and I was quoted $1,350 for the whole job. I checked around with other plumbers and discovered that: 1) very few plumbers have good reputations, and 2) the going rate for a new hot water heater is $1,500. I had to wait 3 business days for the installation, but I still had hot water even though a slow leak caused me to mop up water twice a day before the repair was started. (There was no drip pan under the old heater) H&S called at 8 a.m. on the promised day, and said that the plumber could come over immediately. The plumber showed up 20 minutes later and started disconnecting the old hot water heater. He called the office and requested new tarps to protect my white carpeting. A little later, the electrician came over with the new hot water heater (and new tarps) and the two installed the new heater and removed the old heater. They also installed a drip pan that I purchased separately at Home Depot. The entire job was completed by 11 a.m. and my carpeting survived unharmed. The guys from H&S were friendly, efficient, considerate and articulate. What more can you ask for?

This was a very positive experience from the initial contact with the office to make the appointment to the work done by the plumber, Ronnie, who appeared within the time period specified, did a neat and professional installation of the valves, finished earlier than I would have expected, and left the area spotless when he left.

They're terrific. A real human answers the phone and commiserates with you. They tell you what their schedule is and how they will fit you in. They make you feel like you're the most important customer they have. They send professional, patient, diligent plumbers. The person they sent to our house dug and dug and dug to get that penny out - and he did. He could have just as easily insisted we needed a new disposal. But he didn't. He unstuck the dishwasher line, kept everything clean, and it was a bargain at $100 (although that was one expensive penny!).

They are great. Whenever I have called them, they have been responsive. It may take a couple of days. They are very reliable and their prices have seemed really competitive. They will allow you to buy your own parts, instead of them charging you for the parts. They are willing to explain how to do things, like change the thing in the toilet. I will certainly continue to use them in the future.
