Description of Work: I spoke with the owner on the phone explaining what I needed. She marked her calendar and told me she would call me back to make an appointment for an estimate, but she never did. What a way to do business.

+ -1 moreFor the pedestal table, Sarah was able to find the beautiful table that was buried under 1930s dark varnish/laquer. Before it was a ho-hum piece I got from my grandparents' house--now it's a beautiful piece of furniture we're proud of. For the dining room table, Sarah rescued a piece that was broken by movers. She researched and replaced a leg assembly on a 1930s Duncan Phyfe-style table with a leg from the same manufacturer that was almost the same age as the original table. She kept me informared throughout the process, including sending me pictures of the proposed replacement leg and the existing table leg before she made the repair. She also replaced the brass "claws" and antiqued the replacements to better match the existing claws, and freshened the finish (not a complete refinish). Now the table is beautiful and whole. Thank you Sarah!
Description of Work: Sarah refinished a pedestal table and replaced a leg on a dining room table. Compared to quotes I received from other professionals on Angie'sList--Sarah was very reasonable.

Description of Work: She repaired two dressers August 10, 2007 - $65. She made a thorough pre-examination of what was required and showed up on the 10th with pre-cut wood; finished up in about an hour. Sarah returned September 5-6, 2007 and fixed five doors, two of them exterior, all requiring sanding, repainting, etc.
