Description of Work: A high moisture level in the crawl space resulted in some rot in joists and fungus. This was discovered in a termite inspection prior to the sale of my home. The solution was to treat the underside of the house to kill the fungus and rot, apply a new vapor barrier, and to install three special moisture fans to circulate the air in the crawl space. This had been a problem 17 years ago but we only had a fungus treatment done and I spread some plastic around the crawl space. Unfortunately this was insufficient to keep the moisture levels down without solving the air circulation problem. Home Paramount did the treatment at that time. The inspector was Mike Tillett who was very helpful. I requested a 20% discount as a former customer (somewhat in jest) and he gave it to me. This lowered the cost from $4K to $3.2K. The fans alone listed for $1,950. The two technicians who did the treatment were very professional and the fans were placed as soon as they came in. I paid the electrician to run the power to the fans. This was in addition to the Home Paramount fee. They gave me the name of a local contractor who had done this before.
