Great service. Technician was very prompt and answered all of my questions and also let me know what type of servicing my HVAC unit needed on an annual basis. My first experience with Guirkin went very well and I will be calling them again.

Well.Andy was timely and did not try to sell me stuff that I did not need. He seemed to be quite familiar with the old unit by sight.

Fast and clean. It was almost embarrasing how fast and good it was done. I had a party planned and I could not imagine what to do with my sink blocked. They save my day and my party.

Technician only cared about selling me a new A/C unit. Told me that fan motor was pulling too many AMPs and it needed to be replaced but instead it wouldn't be worth it, I should just buy a new unit, which they were more than eager to quote me. He didn't bother to hardly check anything, told me to "put my hand here" on top of the A/C, said it was hot and that was due to the fan motor. I thought that was ridiculous, first of all it wasn't that hot and secondly it was a hot day. I thought that was absurd. So I'm out $90... but I decide to call another A/C repair place, they sent a technician out. I didn't tell them about the what the Guirkin tech said, but I asked him to check why my A/C wasn't working. He checked everything, even the AMPs and said everything is normal. Said it was low on refrigerant and that I could possible have a slow leak. In all fairness so did the Guirkin guy, but at least he wasn't suggesting something else was wrong to get me to buy a new A/C. Very Shady... i won't be using them again, which is a shame because I had used them for a plumbing issue a while back and I though they were great. I would not recommend, at least not for A/C service unless you're interested in getting told you need a new unit even though you may not need one.

Excellent work done for me today. Yes, it was only completing the installation of a new garbage disposal, but Marty was quick, efficient, professional, friendly and very fair. Job well done at a great price.

He was prompt went to the unit took off the cover and removed the damaged part installed a new part and unit was up and running in no time and upon payment asked if I wanted to have it serviced every 6 months or so

We decided after a hideous experience with our home warranty company and the terrible contractors they assigned to us, that we were going to go with a company we knew and trusted and not deal with the warranty company. Guirkin came out and properly diagnosed our problem and fixed it. Kristen made sure we knew exactly when they would be coming, so no guessing or waiting around for several hours. We also decided that we wanted to just go ahead an replace our dying 33 year old system with a new one so we didn't have to worry about it anymore and didn't have to worry about dealing with our worthless home warranty company anymore either. We wanted to be in control of our home and not have someone dictate what would be done. There was no pressure from Guirkin - we asked for them to do an assessment and we decided it was the right thing to do for us. Andy from Guirkin is awesome. Very professional, very honest. He did the assessment on a Monday and made recommendations to us on what to purchase. Financing was available so we took advantage of that, and went ahead and moved forward with the purchase. The unit was installed 3 days later, on time as promised. The manufacturer actually sent a more advanced unit than we had ordered, but Guirkin did not charge us more for it, or make us wait for the lower priced unit. The guys that came out with Andy were great! All of them professional and respectful and knowledgeable. Andy took the time to go over the features and left only when all our questions were answered. The unit is splendid. I'm not sure how we managed without it for the past 3 years. 200% difference in the output. Our upstairs is finally cool. If you have a plumbing or heating / cooling issue - by all means, call Guirkin!

AC at my home stopped operating on a Friday night and I spent Saturday morning trying to find someone to repair it. I phoned 2 other major companies with so-called "emergency" service who told me that they couldn't come until Tuesday (in one case) and couldn't seem to get understand basic details of my problem or the address at all (in another case - and they never called back at all). Guirkin was my third desperation call and I got the answering service, so I had little hope of hearing from them. To my great relief, someone called back in about 20 minutes. We spoke for a while and he told me a technician would call back shortly. The technician called and was at my door within about 90 minutes (on what was going to be a very hot day). He figured out the problem fixed it within an hour or so, didn't try to sell me anything extra, and charged what I thought was a very fair price for emergency weekend service. So I was blown away when several days later, I got a $40 refund - they apparently overcharged me and credited back the difference without even telling me. Guirkin will be my first call from now on. I bought the $90 AC 20 point checkup. I compared to the other offers to see who was actually doing something other than "inspecting". Guirkin won out. My AC was not working properly. I needed freon and they took care of me right away. Very satisfied.

Since they cleaned it I have never had a problem with it working since!! It's a miracle!

Andy was prompt and professional, and knowledgeable. He was able to do a repair to my 22 year-old fireplace within the hour and left me with detailed pricing and information should I find that I need a pilot light assembly in the future. Marty did a great job and when he replaced the spigot he extended the pipe that ran into the garage. The original pipe rubbed against the wall which could eventually cause a major problem. He was extremely professional and pleasant.

Both of the gentleman who came out were polite and knowledgeable. We had two issues. 1. our master shower faucet doesn't close off all the way when you turn on the shower head - the manufacturer is an odd one and Andy told us where we could get it and how to replace ourselves so we didn't have to spend extra funds on that. :) 2. our outdoor hose hookup was leaking water, and Andy replaced the stem on it. The service was fast. Getting an appointment was easy. Andy and his coworker (I"m sorry I can't recall his name - I'm terrible with names) were both very personable, respectful and honest. I would not hesitate to have either of them out to do any repairs again. I will definitely recommend Guirkin to my family and friends.

I did not actually meet the service technician. My contractor did. They cleaned the logs, the contacts, the gas source, and etc. The logs had been working erratically for a while, and then sometimes would not light, or stay lit. Guirkin cleaned them and corrected the problem in one short visit.

Serviceman arrived on time (early in fact) and performed the services quickly and professionally. Was slightly underwhelmed with the actual services that were performed for the cost. He cleaned the pilot light and vacuumed the logs and ensured the fireplace was working properly. Only took about 15 minutes.

The office called and let me know the technician was on his way and they were exactly on time. the technician was very knowledgable and offered suggestions for how to improve my system. He worked with what I already had and got it running smoothly. I couldn't be more pleased with the service. Thanks

Guirkin was the second company I called midday on Monday. Mr.Guirkin answered the phone and gave me a quote. (I called a third company and their price was within $3.) He scheduled me for their second call the next day. They arrived around 10:30. It took about an hour for the removal and installation. During this time one of the guys checked my heat pump, said it was installed in 2003 (before I bought the house in 2004). He said heat pumps generally don't last more than 15 years. So I decided to continue with their twice yearly checkups. The guys were courteous and friendly. I highly recommend this company.

Great service from a polite, professional guy.

The glass looks worse than before he started. He told me that all of the clients that he had refurbished loved how their fireplace looked. I went out to porch and told him that the glass looked worse than before he started. His response was it was the best he could do. This company was here in February and March because the fireplace kept turning off. The pilot would not l light this month, therefore our call for service. The last bill was $600. I had to supply the paper towels and glass cleaner. You would think that a "refurbishing" guy would have those items. He also asked for a cup of coffee with lots of cream and sugar and to use the bathroom. I got a very bad deal.

Everything went great.. They were on time and completed the job. One of the workers damaged some of my ceiling sheet rock. They quickly sent a carpenter to fix it..
