After getting a quote of over $500 from another plumbing outfit to fix a small, slow leak in a crawl space drain, we called Guirkin and they fixed it in less than 10 minutes at less than 1/3 the price. We've used Guirkin often in the past and will definitely utilize their services again whenever we have a plumbing need.

The technician was professional and knowledgeable. He did a thorough cleaning and inspection. He was respectful of our home and worked cleanly. We will hire Guirkin Plumbing and Heating again.

Excellent work. Company contacted me right away after Angie's List inquiry and scheduled the appointment for 7:30 the next morning. Plumber Wes Arnold showed up by 7:45 and got right to work. He clearly is experienced and knows his business. He was able to unclog the drain, remove the connector and hose that were stuck on the outside faucet and replace the washer all within less than 90 minutes. I will definitely hire again.

The work was satisfactory. As I recall, they were efficient.

I first called another “A” rated Angie’s List plumber but was quoted as much as $475 to fix it. I declined, but paid their $35 trip charge. I called Guirkin Plumbing (“A” rated on AL) thinking it couldn’t cost more than the first quote. I was charged $175 to do what the first plumber wanted for cutting a hole in the drywall and soldering in a new elbow. The Guirkin techs were polite, neat and professional. I’ll be happy to call them again.

A nice professional gentleman from Guirkin Plumbing & Heating helped clean and inspect our gas log fireplace and did a perfect job. The communication with them was very timely, courteous and professional. They contacted me about an hour or so before they were arriving which helped me to plan things out for my day. Plus the price was great and much more affordable than some other companies who were trying to charge over $150+ bucks. I will use these guys again for plumbing or if some other HVAC problem arrises. A+ in my book and I would recommend them if you're in the Richmond or surrounding areas.

ONe set worked fine but the other set in the living room was non-functional and due to the logs being over twenty years old we had them replaced with a set of Poderosa logs sold to us by Guirkin Plumbing. We were more then satisfied with the services provided by Guirkin Plumbing. We would highly recommend this firm.

I called about an issue I was having with the pilot not lighting on my gas fireplace. I scheduled an appointment, and was trying to follow up with questions about pricing. First, the pricing was ridiculously high! $150 service call, $350 additional if you need to replace a pilot assembly. Second, the guy whom I spoke with was rude, abrasive and borderline argumentative about simple questions. I am NOT a gas fireplace specialist, so these questions were simply asked to gain clarity and understanding. He was unprofessional in my opinion. I canceled my appointment and will be using a different service provider.
