they were very professional, did excellent work, installers did exceptional work and kept work place clean. it was clear that management expected only quality work.

Just a follow-up on our continuing relationship with PHand A since they installed an all new interior and exterior York zoned heating and air system for us a couple of years ago. We are on the maintenance plan they offer and I still have only good things to say about the company. The new system has worked flawlessly and is definitely far more efficient than our old system. PHand A maintenance schedulers are polite and friendly. They keep you apprised of the technicians arrival times and if something comes up, they are very good about letting you know so they don't waste your time. The technicians are prompt, courteous and very professional. I've had several different people visit since we've now been through a few maintenance checks. All were happy to explain the work and answer my questions. After the initial work, I was so impressed that when we had new wood floors installed, I had them back to install a steam whole-house humidification system. Installation went very well and it works perfectly.

Overall the experience with this company was great. My only complaint is the cost but I do not buy heating and air conditioning and tankless hot water heaters much. I did get other quotes and found others to be pricier than peninsula.

Bottom Line - my experience with PHA is the BEST experience I have ever had with a contractor! The system was installed a year ago. It is very reliable. We set the temperatures in each zone are forget about them. The system does it all. WE ARE VERY Comfortable --- And we have actually saved $1,000 in Propane and Electric this past year over the 2009-2010 actual bills. We obtained estimates from 3 companies, but were totally impressed by the knowledge and thoroughness of the PHA salesman who spent about 3 hours with us. As we were concerned about the quality of sales person and leary of others who had preceed him into our home, we asked him to describe his experience with the products and he had been in the business for over 20 years most of which was spent installing, troubleshooting and repairing heating and AC systems as well as managing installation teams, before he moved into sales. He had been with PHA for most of his career. He listened carefully to our complaints about our 30+ year old system, as well as asked what we expected from the new system. He looked at the entire existing system in our house to include all of our sensors and controls, the duct sizing, wiring, ducts in rooms, and the furnace and AC unit. He actually tested the existing heating and air contidioning air system, measured flow and temperatures of air provided in the rooms in of our home. He then provided us with a recommended system and all of its components and explained how they would function as we were concerned about the wireless control and distance between the sensors/controls and the system itself. He created an estimate and discussed potential financing options. We spent about a week mulling over the estimates as PHA was not the cheepest, but based upon the quality of the salesman and estimate process, and information gained about PHA, we decided to negotiate a final price, installation date and time required to install as well as a loaner portable AC system for our Bedroom, and signed the contract. Demolition was rapid, thorough, and clean. A team of 2 installers arrived, installed a base for the heat pump and began to put the new system together. New ducts were fabricated by PHA and installed with the new dampers to control airflow to the 3 zones. Installation took about 5 days. Like the salesman the installers were extremely knowledgable and thorough. They put the system in including a condensation overflow system that pumped water from the airhandler and propane furnace in the basement out through the wall to our yard. The hose was even wrapped with a heating element to prevent it from freezing in winter. It was a pleasant surprise that this was included as I would never have thought of it or even asked for it in negotiating the system components and price. It could have been a minor gotcha but wasn't. The water pump failed within a month and they came the next day and replaced it - no charge. Our system has been very reliable - we set the temperatures and the system does the rest. I leave all the vents wide open and the system keeps the temperatures just as we set them. The wireless Honeywell sensor and control is great. In addition to the flexibility to set and reset temperatures in each zone for three specific times each day of the week it even monitors the outside temperature and as the heat pump is a hybrid with a propane furnace it turns the propane heat on when temperatures outside drop below 40 degrees (temperature threshhold can be set lower if you wish). The technology is Amazing and PHA made it work very well for us.

I contacted PHA first thing Saturday morning because we noticed our air conditioning quit blowing cold air. They dispatched a service tech that afternoon who came out and took a brief look at our unit outside and the air handler in the attic. He tested the system and stated we probably had a small leak. However, in order to troubleshoot the system their company does a pressure check of the whole system so it would have to shut it down for 2 days. Other companies use a leak detection tester which based on some reports may not find "all" the leaks. Since the temp was supposed to be over 95 for the next week we decided we would wait until it cooled off and would get them back out. So he serviced the system with "freon" and we were back in business. Unfortunately, it only lasted a couple days. We called PHA back and they were unable to get a tech out until the next day. With the temp pushing 100 we couldn't wait so we called a different company. My only complaint is that the tech didn't even remove the cover on the air handler. Had that been done, he would have seen the coil was bad.

PH&A put our new system in last year. My son accidentally broke one of the drain pipes last week. I called mid-afternoon and they had a technician working it a couple hours later! Did a great job. In addition, I want to compliment them on the way they stayed in touch with me as new info was available about the arrival time of the technician. Glad to have this company handling our heating and air needs.

They did a great job and we don't have any complains about them. They did exactly what we needed and also got the job done quickly. They were very professional too. They came on the next day after we called them. There was a 24 hour turn around time and they came out quickly. They were right in line with other companies when price was taken into account. I would use their services in the future too.

Great experience. Our new system is everything we hoped it would be. Zoning solved a heating and cooling problem we've lived with for years. Effectively added useful space to our home. My wife and I were naturally apprehensive about finding a contractor to replace our heating and air conditioning system. It was a large investment for us, and we needed to do this right the first time. From start to finish, they did it right. The office staff is exceptional. Our initial interview was extremely informative and made us comfortable that we were making the right decision. Our installers were terrific. They are truly professionals. They also patiently answered my questions along the way and made sure that every step was done right. Also followed up to make sure we were happy with the results.
