"Alex was recommended by The Tile Shop in Sterling to install a new porcelain tile floor in our kitchen. We met with Alex, received a very competitive quote, and hired his company. His people removed the existing 29 year old tiles and Durock subflooring, installed the new tiles, installed new baseboards and moulding, and prepped and painted the walls and trim. Alejandro was primarily responsible for removal of the old tile/Durock and installation of the new Wedi subflooring; Kevin was in charge of the painting; Freddy handled tile installation; and Jose was responsible for touch up work. The entire job took slightly over a week, and Alex arrived everyday to ensure that the work was proceeding to our satisfaction. The entire team was courteous, professional, and efficient. Also, at the conclusion of the project, Alex sent in a cleaning crew to clean ensure the entire first level of the house. Overall, we are thrilled with the quality of the work and plan to hire Alexâ s crew to do additional projects in our home. We have had quite a few companies do work in our home during the past 27 years and weâ ve never worked with a better company than District Renovations. Simply put, if youâ e planning a home renovation project - particularly tile work and painting - you cannot choose a better company."

"We were extremely pleased with the 3 bathroom remodel projects by Step by Step Remodeling. The planning, communication, advice, and workmanship were excellent. Vlad and his crew were always on time, worked hard, cleaned up every day, minimized dust/mess in the house, were trustworthy, and true professionals. He had specific crews for demo, plumbing, electrical, and tiling. His tiling guys are some of the best in the business. Vlad was very hands on too and when he wasn't working on the house was checking on his crew several times a day giving them specific instruction. He walked you through what to expect each day and always asked for our preferences when decisions needed to be made. Their estimates were very competitive and completed the work faster than others could (also worked weekends with our permission). Without any hesitation Frank at the showroom showed me all the available options for my budget including their wide variety of remnant selection as well. After my order, within a week the old countertops were removed and the new ones were installed. I am very satisfied in every aspect from their lovely people, speed, and quality of workmanship. "Hiring this company has been a huge regret. I hate writing bad reviews for companies but there is no way that we can say anything positive. Once you sign the contract, you are hosed. We hired them to do install a Louvered Pergola on our deck. We signed the contract on June 7, 2025 with their salesperson Bart, which said they were expired in installation these. Which were later were told by their electrician that he never did this before. This project was horror from the beginning. First they measured the area incorrectly and started to install the pergola in front of our windows. We had to point this out to them. They then had to lower our sunroom windows. Now here we in Feb 2026 the job is still not complete. I have reached out to them several times. We were not able to install a ceiling fan because of the incorrect measuring, and the pergola isn't functioning. Bad remote, incorrect electrical wiring??? Don't know. DO NOT HIRE THEM! "
