Weeded! Lawn Service

They sent a confirmation email and I thought all was set to go for the appointment. I took time off from work but they never showed up. After waiting for 30 minutes, I had to call them, and they said they would call me back when they got up with the guy that was to come give the quote. 10 minutes later, they call back, no "I am sorry for the confusion", no professionalism about the issue-- Turns out that they didn't service my area but didn't take the time to tell me that when I called them to schedule the appointment with my address or when they sent the two emails to confirm the appointment (the first email containing my address).

I called for a quote which they came out to provide. I called for an appointment and was told to call back later. I never did. I came home one day and my hedge was trimmed but not what I had discussed in the quote. I did not think it was Weeded that had come out. A few weeks later I got a bill.

$400This experience would have received all A's-EXCEPT-there was a bit of a communication problem on both of our parts. They cleaned up all of the leaves in my entire yard-which is about 1 acre. I have a ton of trees. I had done some of the work already, and had left a good portion of leaves around the trees as mulch. Unfortunately, by the time I caught the crew, they had removed those leaves as well. Hence, the hours I had purchased were not enough, and I had "lost" the "mulch" I had so desperately wanted to keep for the upcoming spring and summer. However, after calling "Headquarters", and explaining the situation, we both came up with a price that was agreeable with all involved, and they completed the job. In the end, there was not one single leaf left in my yard. Their work was impeccable-and my only recommendation for not only me-but-for the Head Crew Leader on Sight would be to be sure that everyone was on the same page and that everyone understand EXACTLY what work was to be done, etc..Repeat and repeat again, if necessary, and make sure it is in writing, what work is to be done. The guys were most pleasant, even when things were screwed up-by all parties involved.

This was as basic a service as a provider could offer. The workers spent commonly less then 20 mins on site running the riding lawn mowers at max speed tearing up the ground on wet days (they should have recognized that a return trip in drier conditions would have been better). This max speed pulls on and stresses the root system of lawns something any true lawn care provider recognizes. They certainly didn't take pride in there work. No attention to detail. Extremely over priced for the time spent on site. This is the worst review I've ever given and I hate to do it but, I would suggest using another provider.

The overall experience was very good. They were on time, did a very professional job and responded promptly.

I called them and had a estimate. I never received the written estimate like they said. When I called back to make an appointment, they asked about the estimate. Then they said they would call me Monday to schedule my appointment, but I have never heard back.

Their services were fine. We're very happy with the services but my husband and I tried to contact them after to get them come and do our lawn on a regular basis. I think my husband tried to call them two or three times and I as well did the same and they never responded to us.

I purchased this deal for my husband for his birthday in January. The company emailed me within days of the purchase to schedule the lawn service, even though the service would not begin for several months. As the start date neared, they contacted me again to tell me which day they would come each week, and that was it! For four weeks, we came from work once a week to a neatly trimmed lawn. I was a bit surprised that there was no further contact after that. I expected the company to try to sell us more services or offer to continue the weekly service at their regular rate, but they did none of that. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a regular lawn service.

We got them from personal referral. They come on a recurring basis, and do whatever. We've been satisfied with them. They have a schedule that they come whenever something needs doing, whatever something needs put down or do something. It's a yearly contract and they take care of everything unless she has some kind of add on. They show up. We had issues in the past with other landscape providers who would say they will be coming to do something and not show up and then a month later they might show. Unfortunately one of them was bankrupt and run out of business but they didn't on any level notify any of their employees and so we were still waiting for a service. You call and you get a message that said they were no longer in business so you kept thinking when they might be going to get back to you and then we found out that they have gone out of business and didn't notify us so we didn't have the greatest luck with landscape services. We've talked to other people who had similar kinds of issues so the fact that these guys at least show up and do what they say they are going to do. I don't know what everybody else charges but I'm sure they're pretty much in the ballpark considering what we've been paying before. My husband said he thinks it's about $80 a month, it averages out to that on an annual basis for everything. I'm sure that's in line and probably less than some if they are professional service as opposed to an individual who does that kind of thing. They're good about responsiveness and punctuality.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I bought two deals for that company because I knew that there was a lot of job that needed to get done. It was really bad. I spent a lot of money and at the end, they just did a very sloppy job after I looked at what they did. It was the worst kind of mulching I've ever had. They just dumped it and did not even spread it, I wasn't really happy with that. So at the end of the day, I have to do more work. it was less than what I paid for. They wanted to get the rest of my mulch that they don't want to spread because they thought I just want them to work for the hours that I bought. They asked me if I wanted them thrown away and if so, I'm going to pay for that, too. I paid an additional amount for the extra hour that they worked.When they started, they made all this talk like it won't take them that long so I was impressed. They came on time and they kept in touch with me because I have to keep changing the dates. When they come here, I wanna make sure that I'm here so that I will know what they did. They made sure that we understood each other, they worked with my schedule so that was good.

Job went fine, I gave them the instructions to trim the hedges/ bushes in our yard and weed the beds if they had time. It took them longer than expected to trim the bushes so they weren't able to do any weeding. They were prompt and had good communication.

Excellent and Professional Service

Weeded has done an excellent job. Dawne at Weeded is very friendly and will help you get scheduled. The workers are non-intrusive. So much so that most times I dont even notice that they are here. The lawn looks good and the edging is very sharp and straight. The biggest thing with a lawn care provider is finding some one who pays attention to details. Any kid on the block can cut a lawn but when you find a lawn care provider that goes the extra mile each time they service your property, makes all the difference. Weeded so far seems to be paying attention to the details. Thank you Dawne and the hard working crew at Weeded!

I was disappointed that the yard cleanup did not include removing all the sticks and limbs that had accumulated and the weeds removed. Also there is one corner of my back yard that was not tended to at all. David explained to me that the pruning would best be done at another time (June) after the shrubs were finished blooming. I am not sure whether my expectations were unclear therefore I do not completely blame the service for some of my disappointment. Yes I would probably use them again to see if some of my concerns would be addressed if I am more definite about my expectations.

This company has great reputation as I experienced. Its crew worked tirelessly and excellently to clean up my yard and prune the bushes and trees around the yard, even under 90 degree hot weather which rarely happened in April. I really appreciated their hard work and will definitely use this company in the future, and also highly recommend this company to any one who needs any lawn service.

I called Mr. Bender looking for quick yard service before family arrived for a visit. We have two small children and no time to do large amounts of yard work. We have a large, mostly level lot--about 1.5 acres. It was rather grown up with tough grasses and weeds, but Mr. Bender said he had equipment to tackle it no problem. He came out the next day to provide us an estimate to mow the lot and clean the weeds out of the front planting beds. He originally told us it would take two days and cost $2000(!). I was okay with the timeline but not the cost and tried to negotiate with him. He eventually said he could do it for $1500, but they wouldn't be able to collect the trimmings and haul away for that amount. We were okay with them dumping the trimmings at the back of our lot, but as we were getting short on time and really had no frame of reference for what a job like that should cost, we agreed. They did come out quickly and within two days had mowed the lot, and mostly weeded the front beds--there were a couple of larger weeds left in. They did put down a layer of garden fabric to keep the weeds down as a "favor" to us, but it started coming up and fraying within a couple weeks because there was a very thin layer of mulch put down over it. I really started to become upset about the whole thing when, nearly two months later, we had still not received a bill from them. I finally called their office to try to get things sorted, and was told by their pretty rude administrator that she had sent me the bill via email and that I was the one who had ignored their billing. Turns out she had incorrectly typed my email address. She finally sent me the bill, which I paid. I let it go as a one-time thing, having already decided that we would try to find someone who would do a similar job for a more reasonable price. Then, roughly a week ago, I was told by a friend that they had asked for an estimate from this company for their place, and were quoted $200!!! Yes, their grass is a bit shorter than ours was in some places, but REALLY??? I am now feeling more than just a little ripped off by this company. I understand that a business must attempt to make a profit, but it should be fair in its dealings with ALL of its clients, not looking to sucker those they can and cutting deals for others. I also looked at the reviews for them here on Angie's List and it seems like virtually everyone else is getting far lower pricing. I cannot recommend them to anyone, because even though they did a fairly good job with the actual work, the pricing and just the general manner in which the business conducted themselves really seems a bit underhanded.

Weeded! Lawn Service I spend about $334 on them. I told them I would do the review when they finished the job. They are professional and very nice. The project is a little big, I told them I just want them to finish the job. They tried to finish within the time limit. They said they don't want to charge you more so they worked really hard. I like people who are honest like that. Not trying to get you. They said we are here and we are going to be snappy and I really like that. When they start the job I want to make sure I know what I am going to get into. I have the option of saying okay you are done with your hours. I said go ahead and finish it. When they come here I ask them if you don't finish the job how much. Some of them that's what they want they want to get more money. I ask how much is it going to be if you don't finish the job because I'm up front. They tell me and they try to finish it and they tell me what it's going to cost. I really like it. They came out last week.

They did an excellent job. As usual, I had planned more for them to do than time permitted so I had the same team come back and complete similar tasks in my front yard at a later date. The company has a convenient email system for tracking appointments. The only suggestion I have for this provider is to call the client if the team is running late rather than the client having to make the call.

The entire experience with Weeded! went very well...beginning with the phone call to schedule the appointment and all the way through to the end when the work was completed to my satisfaction. The estimator was very professional and courteous when he came out to the house to see the work that I wanted to have done. He made notes that were passed along to the team that came to do the work. They were well prepared and knew exactly what they were supposed to do. The two men who did the work were hard workers with a good attitude and they worked every minute they were here. I was very pleased with their work and I would definitely recommend them to others and I will also hire them again in the future.

I took advantage of the promotional offer for 4 hours of yard cleanup for about $150. They came promptly and did a good cleaning of the yard, removing leaves, branches, other debris ground; also trimmed hedges and edged around the house and fence line. The process was efficient. Satisfied, I since signed up for a season of lawn care.

It was very good. They did exactly what we asked them to do very quickly, efficiently and neatly. They followed everything at the curb like they were supposed to. I am very happy with them. What stands out about them is their courtesy, efficiency and neatness. I would hire them again for more work in the future. Their price is excellent. They came exactly when we agreed to and there was no problems there. They were on time.

I was very impressed with the job performed by Weeded! Lawn Service. The workers arrived on time, completed the project to my satisfaction and were very professional, diligent and cleaned up all the debris before they left.. They communicated well any questions and concerns they had about the job. I would definitely use them again.

Within a week of when I requested the lawn aeration and seeding, the work was done. Looked thorough to me. Lots of holes in the yard. Hard to tell how much seed or fertilizer they put down. My only complaint is not informing me before they come to do the service so I know when to expect them and can prepare the lawn i.e. pick up stuff. Overall they are professional and efficient. Because it's lawn service I will have to wait till spring to see how grass looks. They have also done mowing and weed whacking; appeared to be thorough and proficient.

They are courteous, professional, thorough
