I used them in the past and they continued their high quality, professional work. They stayed within the pricing and timeframe budget. The crew took about 2 months to complete the job. They handled everything from setting up the appointments to gettting materials. We have been very pleased with the outcome. They could not have done a better job.

I have used them for several years. They are very prompt in coming to help.

I called on a Monday, and Cindy was very pleasant as she listened to the problems I was having and arranged service. She offered a time the next day, but I had to defer to Wednesday. She offered me the first appointment, and the technician arrived right on time. I let him know that I had three things to be repaired and he quickly went to work. He replaced a part in my downstairs toilet and a sink and toilet in the master bathroom. He also advised me that the upstairs sink needed a stopper (which I knew), but recommended replacing the entire faucet rather than just the part, as the part would cost $65 but an entire faucet would include the part. I appreciated his recommendation, and took it. The only trouble we had was that he seemed slightly hard of hearing, but we got through it. I would call RJ Tilley again.

RJ Tilley came out within a day of calling them and worked on the job and issues I needed to have done. I had to call back on an issue and they were out quickly to follow up.

Provider did not respond to me with answers to questions in a timely manner, and was vague with answers. Sales associate was rude, and not helpful.

They were very professional, right on time, and took care of what we needed quickly. Every time that we have called them, they have been very good.

The folks at R. J. Tilley were extremely professional, were definitely committed to doing what we wanted and making us happy with our kitchen remodel. Everything was high quality. They were not inexpensive, but as they say in their TV commercials, "you get what you pay for." What we got from them was a high-quality, well-functioning, beautiful kitchen. We had several other contractors in to bid on the job, and none of the others were able to do everything we wanted. Specifically, I wanted the terra cotta tile flooring removed and replaced with hardwood floors level with the hardwood in the adjoining rooms (no jambs between rooms -- just one flat, even floor). That, of course, meant lowering not only the floor, but also the door jambs and molding. Tilley managed to get it done so that it looks like it has always been that way. We also had a wall of brick in which the wall ovens were installed. The brick had been painted, and I wanted the paint removed, leaving a "whitewashed" look. Also, the new ovens that we purchased were not the same height as the old ones, so new brick had to be installed -- and the color matched. Tilley brought in Chasen painters and a brick mason to do the work, and the result was perfect. I wanted the soffit removed and two layers of cabinets reaching to the ceiling. That was done and the cabinets are beautiful. Lisa at R. J. Tilley helped us with the design and even walked with us through the stone yard to find the perfect piece of granite for our countertops. All in all, we are extremely pleased with the folks at R. J. Tilley and would definitely use them again for a kitchen or bathroom redo.

Mark was very courteous, nice, and professional. He quickly fixed the broken plastic toilet flange instead of replacing it and then quickly installed a Kohler Toilet I had already purchased. I had just finished painting the bathroom and the toilet was the last step for the job. I was going to install the toilet myself, but he was there and I had no problem with Mark doing this step as well. I have to say, Mark helped finish a long project and his attention to detail was fabulous.

They were very timely, very prompt, did what they said they're going to do, the people who work for them was very courteous. They were on the expensive side.

R J Tilley was quick to arrive on-site when we asked for a quote for our bathroom remodel, but quite a bit slower to schedule an appointment with the estimator. When our scheduled time arrived, we meet at their Rte. 1 location and spent approximately 1 1/2 hours there going over details with the estimator. We were quite specific with our budget, and she tried hard to meet our needs, offering several suggestions to to help lower the cost. When we finally got the quote, it was double the next lower bid. Needless to say we did not use their service, and since the quote came in so high, we probably would not contact them again for future work. To be fair to them, they have some of the best reviews and recommendations I have ever seen, and I am sure the work they do is of the highest quality. Unfortunately, that level of quality and professionalism exceeded what we could afford.

They came very quickly, they came within like a day. They didn't charge anything extra, it was just for a part and a small charge for service and we like them! They were very prompt, very knowledgeable and very easy to work with.We were happy with them.

Called for an estimate for a bathroom remodel due to a damaged tub that needed replaced. I was surprised when the lady I spoke with told me it would be approximately 45 days before they could come by to do the estimate. We agreed on the date and time for the estimate. One week before the estimate I received a call from the company to confirm the appointment and verified that I would be here and still wanted the estimate. On the day they were to arrive I received a voicemail with no telephone number displayed that was broken up and said "Tilley" and "early". I thought they would be here a little early. They weren't early--they never arrived. Called about 45 minutes after they were suppose to arrive and was told that since I didn't answer the phone when they called they went to their next appointment. When I spoke with the company they said that they don't come if someone doesn't answer the phone. The problem is that I don't always have a phone with me and on this morning I was mowing and working outdoors. So if you choose to obtain an estimate from this company it appears to me that you can't do anything that will prevent you from answering the telephone--you must stay by the phone and maybe they might come weeks after your initial call to them. Why should I as a customer be required to continually confirm an appointment we had already agreed too. An attempt should have been made by ringing the door bell before being discarded after I had already confirmed my appointment once already. When I spoke with the estimator he said that they doesn't come if the phone is not answered on the day of the appointment. He said this is due to those that cancel and don't bother to call so when he arrives they are not home. When I confirmed my appointment a week ago, I should not have been classed with those that do not have the integrity or commitment to be available on an agreed date and time. I had even spoken twice before to their office about an earlier date when they had cancellations in the last week and a half, but I had to work and was not available during those times. Each time this offer was made, I reconfirmed my original appointment date and time. I made a verbal contract when I called and set the date and time, and they contracted with me to be here. I upheld my end of our verbal contract, but they did not uphold their part of our agreement. I would have rated their professionalism lower (F), but the ladies I spoke to were polite and apologetic despite me being an agitated customer. After all, I waited nearly 45 days for a no show. The one lady said that the person I had spoken with had not noted the appointment confirmation in the computer which she felt may have led to the problem.

On-time, professional - great group!

They are not cheap. They are local plumbers. They fix what they say they will do and they go ahead and do it.

Work started on time on an extensive remodel of kitchen. Custom island cabinets were not ready on time so work was switched to bath while we waited for cabinets. This was a very large island with a lot of storage. Bath surround was removed and tile was installed along with new hardware. New bath sink with cabinet and counter top & new toilet were installed along with new floor. A small closet was removed by my husband. Painting was done. As soon as kitchen cabinets were ready work was performed on both rooms until bath was finished. Kitchen included painting original cabinets, extending counter top, huge island, glass back splash, counter tops, floor, small sink & automatic trash cabinet. You push on it and it comes out on it's own and then self closes. Too cool. Of course, I kept changing my mind and adding new items to the original contract. This made the completion of kitchen run a little long. But, it was mainly completed in 2 months which we thought was very fast. The high quality of the materials and workmanship could not be faulted. We were very happy with the finished product. Everything was finished to our satisfaction. All of the people that we dealt with were very friendly and very professional. They cleaned up after themselves every day. If they could not answer a question, they got an answer for us. We could not have asked for a more congenial work force. If a cabinet was not quite right, it was remade. Some how they managed to address every concern we had and make us happy. We would not hesitate to hire them again.

ON TIME, DID EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED, CLEANED THE AREA

I've hired RJ Tilley a few times and overall, they get the job done with knowledge and skill. I've always been satisfied with the work and price. However, twice I've called for an estimate and been told that someone would return my call and they never did. This last time, it cost them a job because I went with a competitor. Second, both times that I have hired them, I've been told that I am on the schedule for a certain day and the arrival time is some time between like 9:00AM and 4:00PM. Both times, the plumber arrived very near the end of the day. I don't think this is his fault, I think its a scheduling problem. I know that plumbing is not an exact science, but not being able to hit an 8 hour window seems unreasonable to me. A few times I called the office to get an update for when the plumber might arrive and I received a dismissive attitude and was told that I would be contacted when the plumber was on his way. In other words, I shouldn't call for an update, I should just stay at my house and wait for 8 hours. The skill of their workforce is more satisfactory, but their management leaves much to be desired.

Work was performed by another company.

Overall it was ok but I will shop around next time for a better price.

I called RJ Tilley to get an estimate for installing a jacuzzi tub. I talked to the receptionist and then to someone who may have been the owner, who said that he would call me back to give an estimate or schedule an appointment to come by the house. They never called back.

They are extremely professional in all aspects.

They were pretty good. They were prompt in getting in touch with me. They gave me a time window and were pretty close to the timetable. They were very clean, efficient and got the job done. We moved here from another region, which was a little high in price for a plumber, so it is kind of hard to say but comparatively, the price here is excellent.

It went well. It was one of those things when you have an emergency like that, it is always a challenge to find somebody, and this was on a weekend, they came on a Saturday. I was very impressed with them.
