They were prompt and they came out the same day. They did a full inspection of the roof and told us we did not need a new roof at that time and that they would just fix a few things and replace a few shingles. They were honest about it; they did not try to tell us that our roof was destroyed, which another roofer might have done to get the job. They did the job really quickly. They had four guys on our roof to rip off the roof shingles and replace them. I was impressed with their speed. They are very big in this area; people use them all the time. They are a no non-sense company. We will probably get an estimate from them if we replace the roof.

They didn't try to tell anything more. They did what they were called for. We were very satisfied with what they did.

They offer a fair price, they do terrific work, and the work is done neatly, quickly, cleanly. I can't say enough good things about them; they are excellent in every respect.

They were neat, on time and they came in at the cost they said they would.

He is less than a half of mile from us. He also did some other roofs in our neighborhood. We had a really positive experience. He came out the night before, looked at the roof, gave us a bid, wrote everything down, and then, they started like a week later. They were clean and cleaned up. There was one incident where somebody was smoking on the job and they left some cigarette butts in our yard, so I called them to tell that I didn't smoke and wasn't going to pick them up. He immediately, had someone come out the next day and clean up everything. He was very apologetic and told me that nobody was even supposed to be smoking on the job. They were to leave the job site if they wanted to go have a cigarette. I was very impressed with how he handled that situation. It was a great outcome. I have a new 30 year roof. It looks fantastic and will definitely add to the value of my home because now I have no maintenance on my roof for the next 30 years. I would say the pricing was reasonable because they couldn't just put an extra layers of shingles because I live in an older home and it had already been re-shingled by someone before us, so we had had to totally replace everything. The price was in line with a couple of other companies that I called. We are getting ready to have some siding done and are going to call him for a bid. I'm sure there was someone more reasonable for this job but sometimes price just isn't the only thing.

My massage therapist recommended Nathan's. This project went awesome. I got the normal roofers description of what they were going to do that a lay person can not understand. I asked if they were going to guarantee the leaks for a year and if so, asked if I could write in my own description the interior leaks that they were guaranteeing. They said absolutely. I was able to write my own description as to what they were guaranteeing.

They did the repairs quickly and professionally and indicated the existing roof should easily last another 20 yrs.

Got a quote based on recommendation from Architectural Committee of my neighborhood, but by word of mouth heard that he cuts corners to save bucks in ways you won't see at first. Check Angies list for Hardesty and C L Wright, who have a much better reputation.Do your homework and don't just accept a recommendation from your Architectural Committee.

We were extremely pleased with Nathan B. and all aspects of Nathan's Roofing. I found all members of Nathan's to be very professional, courteous, thorough and concerned. A neighbor, who studied their work, stated that they did a much better job than work done on other homes in the area [and at a smiliar cost]. They even came back later and fixed a somewhat related problem, at no charge.

They initially sent out two guys to investigate about three years ago. I showed them where there was interior water damage and he went onto the roof to investigate. He came back about 15 minutes later and said he couldn't definitively say where it was leaking but that he'd plugged some holes that the original roofers left behind and that it should be fixed. After the next hard rain, it leaked again. They came back out and, within 15 minutes, said they thought they'd fixed it. It didn't rain hard from the north for a long time so the roof didn't leak and we thought it was fixed. Over a year later (a year was the limit of their warranty so I had to pay again), it rained again, they came back out, spent about 20 minutes on the roof and again said it was fixed. A month or so later when it rained hard from the north, it leaked. They came back out, but it leaked the next time it rained. When I called, I told Nathan's wife (she answered the phone) the whole story and she said she'd refund my money. No apology, no other options given. So I got $200 of the $400 back, but I still had a roof that leaked.

Overall, we were quite pleased. There were a few details they could have done better on, but overall a good job done.

They arrived on time, did the work, and answered questions. First rate all the way. They had replaced our roof 5 years ago. They did a first rate job then as well. We're selling the house and the new owners insisted on the soffit vents. The flashing needed to be re-tacked, which was done.

They came back on Monday, finished the repair. The bill was less than the estimate. The estimator and workers were courteous, prompt and we were very pleased with them. When we do need a new roof in the next few years, we will certainly invite them to give us an estimate.

They were a little late for the appointment but apologized for being so. They gave me two options which I thought was good of them and the work was done on time with no surprises.

I saw them on Angie's List and have seen them around. I got some estimates and went with them because they had a good reputation and good prices. They did job and cleaned up well.

Not pleased with the Nathan's experience. I chose to get a quote from them for my roofing job. Owner, Nathan, met me at my home and told me that several requests I had for my roofing job were "a lot of work for his guys and that they really weren't worth the effort". I'm not kidding! I told him that I wanted copper flashing around the chimney, metal in the valleys (as opposed to a California cut) and a ridge vent installed. He told me that all 3 were either too much work for his crew or "unnecessary" and that if I insisted on having these details that they'd cost me a lot more. All three of these details are VERY COMMON, especially the copper flashing and metal valleys in older homes. It's a very traditional look. I couldn't believe this was the company I'd heard so many good things about. Finally, the quote I got was nearly $500 higher than a few others I'd already received (and they would use copper/metal as I'd requested). Thumbs down to this bunch.

There was no written estimate but there was a verbal agreement on price and repairs. I was told the work would begin immediately. I was also told that I did not need to be present during repairs and that an invoice would be mailed out upon completion. Upon returning home from work I found debris in my yard, in my neighbors yard and there was two loose shingles laying on my roof. Replacement shingles were not satisfactorily matched and the majority were buckled or bulging. Caulking around the chimney flashing was sloppy. The next day I called Nathan's and Bubba came back out several days later. He apologized for the debris and loose shingles, he still didn't get the shingles off the roof. I was told with the heat the shingles would flatten over time. They were suppose to be replacing other shingles and touching up the caulking, before I knew it they were gone and the work was still not satisfactory. I called the office, was told I would have to speak to Bubba. Not resolved.

Courteous sales person. Would NOT provide written estimate (RED FLAG) and was told the repair work would be itemized and detailed on my bill (which was not the case). Received the bill BEFORE the work was even done. They did NOT call in advance of repair work to notify me (as requested) and $395 worth of work was supposedly done in less than 15 minutes. When I double-checked what had been done, only a very small segment had been done and it didn't even cover the leak area. I called twice to speak with the owner and received a call back from the salesman telling me that I must have misunderstood the original agreement. However, evidently the repair work was unsupervised so the salesman would come back out to take a look at what was done. He rescheduled twice. When the work was evaluated, the salesman agreed that the work was incomplete. Another team "completed" the job. In the meantime, I received another bill telling me my account was OVERDUE!

I know that this company has a coupon every week in the paper for their services. I really liked their pricing, approach to the problem, how they cleaned up afterwards, and the quote I received from them. They were the lowest I found for this service. They also did pressure me to do the work. I did receive same day service for them, which was nice too.

They promised to come between 9:30 and 10:30 but couldn't come by until the next day. However, they called early on to tell me they were running late and I didn't need to be there when they took a look at the roof. And they provided me a quote on the phone. Since my description matched what they expected, they repaired it the next day without any further questions or changes in their quote. The repairman who gave me a call was professional and extremely polite.

They were good, fast, and very professional.

The estimator said they could come back that day to do the work if we wanted to go ahead. My wife said she would check with me. Shortly after, she called them to say we'd like to proceed. Then they called back to say the cost would be $395 (not $295), because now they had to come back to do the work. It was not made clear to us earlier that the work would have to be done immediately or the cost would be substantially more. We haven't had this happen in our past experiences with getting estimates for home repairs. (Normally we make an informed decision based on price, Angie's List rating, references, etc.) The 33% increase in the estimate made us uncomfortable about proceeding with Nathan's Roofing, even though they had been rated well by prior customers. We chose not to use them.

Nathan's employees showed up at the appointed time, diagnosed the roof leaking problem, gave me an estimate, and did the work; all in the same afternoon. They had all parts and supplies on their truck. And, there was absolutely no pressure to have the work done that afternoon (I asked them when they could schedule the job). They also reminded me that I could use a discount value coupon with the invoice.

Nice job! Nathan came out and gave a complete estimate. He was very honest and professional. Crew came out when promised and cleaned up pretty well when completed. They even came back the next business day after completion to answer some questions we had. Roof is so good looking!

Nathan's answered my call quickly, dispatched someone in a reasonable time frame, and handled the leak professionally, explaining the issues encountered and the reason for the cost. A great experience overall.
