I was tasked with helping my mother repair/replace the roof on the house she has lived in for years, so it was important to me that the work be done well and with integrity. When I asked friends and acquaintances who they would recommend, Nathan's Roofing was the only company whose name was repeated multiple times. So I scheduled an appt and appreciated that the estimator was on time and was there to evaluate our needs (not give a sales pitch). I asked for both a repair quote and a new roof quote and was not pressured to choose either. We hired Nathan's and the work has been the highest of quality. It is evident that Nathan is an involved business owner, and that he wants to do the best and be the best for his customers. The members of his crew are polite, respectful, efficient (and leave the worksite clean), and his office staff are wonderful--very pleasant and responsive. In my opinion, you have chosen the best in RVA, if you choose this company.

It was a challenge because of all the rain last month, however the crew came on a Saturday and returned on Tuesday to finish the job. The front office was great. The on site manager could communicate a little better. Make sure you check your house for old roof shingles marking up your siding...Nathans came back fast and cleaned a few areas. Excellent service!

Our roof was 27 years old. Nathan’s crew completed the work in one day. We were flexible with our schedule, they came on the date scheduled. We choose Nathan due to other neighbors having a good experience and the price was right.

Nathan's Roofing is wonderful! I needed to replace a large part of my roof recently. Nathan talked to me about how to best resolve my problem. I had talked to at least a half dozen other contractors. Nathan showed the most interest and concern about my issue. He scheduled the work, and then a wonderful crew of the nicest men you would ever want to have working on your home arrived for the job. They were polite and pleasant - a real joy to have around for 3 days! I have only good things to say about every employee of Nathan's that I encountered - from Nathan to the lovely ladies who answer the phone to the men who completed my job - they are all so nice. All of the work performed was done in a professional manner. The crew was highly competent and knowledgeable about what they were doing. Precautions were taken to protect the surroundings - shrubbery, brick stairs, brick walkways, windows, driveway. All the debris from the old roof was completely and thoroughly cleaned up and removed. My roof looks FABULOUS! It is absolutely beautiful. Better than I could ever have dreamed that it would look. I am so pleased with how everything turned out. They did a great job on the estimate. We chose Nathan’s because of their price. Nathan’s was very busy, there’s been a lot of roof damage in our neighborhood so they were very busy. It took them a while to come out. They did a good to fair job of providing an estimate. The price was very good compared to Davidson. We have word of mouth on Nathan’s which a lot of people had used them and said they did fine so it just didn’t seem like worth paying extra for the other company.

The service provided by Nathan's was A+ all the way. Starting with our initial consultation, Spenser was polite, articulate and clearly established what our expectations should be during the course of the work. As we have used Nathan's in the past on smaller roofing jobs and always have been impressed with their customer service, we decided to place our business with them. We were told that we would be given 1-2 days advance warning of when the crew would arrive with a start date of mid-late January. This is exactly what happened. The crew arrived and carried out the work in as timely a manner as Mother Nature would allow. The guys were polite, professional and cleaned up behind themselves everyday before leaving. At the completion of the job, we inspected the roof and could see that these were men who took pride in their work, a quality rarely found these days. Not only did they do a consummate job on the roofing, they also cleaned out all our nasty gutters and washed the glass on all the skylights. We are beyond impressed! Additionally, we have three dogs with constant access to the back yard and they were very careful at always keeping the fence gates shut as they moved back and forth through them. They were also respectful of the foundation plantings around the house. Nathan's has earned our business and respect through excellent customer service and quality work. You can't do better than that!

The new skylights they put in had some spots on them. The paint chipped off and we had to make several calls before they finally came out and repainted it. Also, when they were removing the old shingles they did some damage to the wood siding of our house. They said they wouldn't fix it because it was not covered. The contract we signed before the job says that they were not responsible for damage to the siding. In all fairness to them the siding on our house was not in that great of shape anyway.

Nathan's Roofing replaced our cedar shake roof and a skylight. Nathan's roofing is an exceptional company that I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to have a roof replaced. Nathan's roofing came recommended to us and we are extremely happy with the quality of work and exceptional service we received. The crew was always on time and very professional. I find it hard to describe in words the level of service you will receive by hiring this company. The level of responsiveness to questions/ or concerns that may arise as a homeowner having a roof replaced by Nathan's is by far the best in the industry. If you want a company that cares about the quality of work being done and is responsive to your concerns, then you want Nathan's. It was truly a pleasure dealing with everyone at this company because they were all true professionals!

I've used Nathan's Roofing Repair several times over the last year or two. They are very good and reasonably priced. They were professional and efficient. They repaired vent boot's, repaired storm damaged shingles, and replaced vent end-caps.

They did an excellent, excellent job. They were timely, they cleaned up, the people were pleasant, and they also replaced my roof with cedar shake. There was one window that had a small defect I didn't notice, and they came back and replaced it. They give back to the community, like our local swim team, because they work within the community, and they put it back within the community.

They were very easy to work with. The estimates were completed quickly with no games, and they were eager to get started within a few days. The general manager came out a couple of days before to make sure that an attic fan would be sufficient, as opposed to needing soffit vents (which would be more expensive). He also offered to install a new attic access door (for free), since my old one didn't have a good seal. After the job was completed, they were prompt with taking care of any other little things (like offering to clean off some oil spots left on the driveway). I decided to use them a few days later to get gutters and gutter guards. I needed them to come back a little later to fix some flashing that was a bit crooked, and they promptly took care of that. Would definitely recommend them or use them again.

They said the roof on the house was fine and it was time to put a new roof on the garage.

Bubba inspected the roof and spotted the problem at a place three other roofers had not even considered. You cannot believe the relief dry brings when every other time it is still leaking. The cost of that feeling was dirt cheap. Thank you, to all involved with Nathan's Roofing.

Nathan's was impressive from start to finish. When Lee came out to gather information for the estimate, he took a lot of time explaining what would be done without any pushy sales BS. Lee was easy to reach via email and phone and responded to questions promptly. The estimate process was completely painless. Nathan's provided the least expensive of the five estimates we received. We weren't necessarily going to hire the cheapest company but it made sense in this case because the materials were the same or comparable to the other companies and Nathan's was actually going to perform more work--e.g. removing the existing siding rather than installing over it. We contracted Nathan's to do the work on a Wednesday and they got started the following Monday. The entire job-roof, siding, gutters, railing, trim-was completed in two weeks (it would have been faster but there were some bad weather days). The crews were prompt, friendly, and hardworking. At the end of the job, Lee came by for a walkthrough and spotted a couple of small details that needed fixing. The crew came back out that day and took care of them. We are very happy with the quality and value of Nathan's work. We would absolutely use them in the future and recommend them highly.

The project could not have gone any better. Nathan and his team are complete professionals in every aspect. Every person on his crew were courteous and accommodating during the three days they were at my house. They worked together like a well oiled machine and even cleaned up the entire area around my house all during the day. When they finished the job and left, my yard and house looked exactly as it did when they arrived, except I now had a beautiful new roof. The owner, Nathan Barbuto, was one of the most sincere and accommodating business owners I have ever worked with. He was sensitive to my needs and exceeded my expectations in all regards. I worked with Lee Baugh on this project. I had received bids from 3 other contractors who I liked too. But Nathan's bid was the best and it included removal of the old siding. The crew that did the work could not have been better! They were professional, kind and cleaned up the property very well after the job was completed. They also did some extra things for free without me asking; for example, the door on my storage unit would get swollen and stuck during warm weather. I came home one night, and the job foreman showed me that he had fixed it for me. May not sound like much, but during hot weather, I couldn't open it! Nathan's provided a dumpster that was delivered day one, and removed the day that the job was completed. Lee could not have been better to work with. He immediately returned all calls. And after the job was done, it was important to him that I was satisfied. I had used Nathan's to replace my roof 5 years ago and was extremely satisfied with them, so was pleasantly surprised that they did siding work too. They should change their name to Nathan's Roofing and Siding!

WOW...I WAS SO IMPRESSED. Bubba...yes his name is Bubba but he does not look like a Bubba was outstanding. His attitude was professional and very friendly. I was in awe watching him walk around our big roof checking it out. Also, Audrey the office manager was and is very professional. Debbie the owners wife also treats you like you are the only customer they have. However, I need to devote the rest of the review about Bubba. He even called to follow up on the work. He gave me his contact info. He did what he said he would do and then some. Our realtor also suggested Nathan's and I now know why. Went as well as could be expected - maybe better. Crew was on time, kept a neat work area, and did all they committed to do.

We had Nathan's Roof Repairs replace our roof. We were very pleased with the entire process from the initial phone call to the final walk through. We received 3 estimates for this job and Nathan's price was right in the middle. The other 2 estimates quoted installing a ridge vent on our roof to help out with the attic ventilation. When we asked our sales person from Nathan's about this, he looked to make sure we had the appropriate intake for a ridge vent to and quot;performand quot;. As it turned out, we had no intake, as we did not have vented soffits. I've since learned that the air is pulled in through the soffit and circulates up through the attic through the ridge vent. We hired Nathan's to remove our existing wood soffit and install baffles and continuous vented soffit so that the ridge vent would and quot;performand quot; properly. Overall our experience with this company was fantastic and we highly recommend them to all of our friends and family.

Nathan's provided professional and superior work at a great price. They did the roof, then the siding on my home through my homeowners association. Because the work was done so well, I had them replace my windows as well. The work was done on time and Nathan's stayed in contact with me while the work was being completed. The work was not the cheapest, but you definitely get what you pay for and it was worth the little extra money to go with them.

Our house needed some work for a while, and Nathan's was the best (and most affordable!) company for the job. The crew was prompt, courteous, and professional. They even replaced considerable rotted wood trim at no additional charge and wrapped the trim. We gathered a few estimates from other contractors for the windows and vinyl railings, but we chose Nathan's because we liked how there were no hidden charges and the window install was turn key. We would absolutely work with them again and highly recommend their work!

Every time it rained, my roof leaked around my chimney and into my sunroom. We had another contractor come several times and the problem continued. It turns out the flashing around our chimney was not installed properly and the roof over our sunroom was installed at the wrong pitch several years prior, so water was not draining properly down the valley on the roof. The workers from Nathan's were able to identify the source of the leaks and make necessary repairs. We have been dry ever since! The guys arrived when promised, each with their own task, worked as a complete team and finished my entire roof in one long day. They cleaned up and hauled off all trash so well that we hardly knew they had been. The BEST part is that they were at least $1,000 less than the other 3 estimates we received. We would absolutely recommend Nathan's to anyone needing roof repairs or replacement.

awesome experience from start to finish. the sales person was personable and not pushy. I wanted both siding and windows replaced. Unfortunately both fell outside my budget. we decided windows were the best to do now. all dates and times given were met. the crew doing the work was professional and friendly. no pre work prep was required by me. all blinds were removed and replaced when finished.the job site was cleaned up post installation.

This is a second floor deck with an entrance from the master bedroom via patio doors and from outside steps leading up to the deck. The deck had outdoor furniture in place and is clearly a deck made for outdoor use. The existing surface had 3 seams that were pulling away creating water leakage to the room below. In meeting with an estimator from Nathans Roofing, I expressed that seams were an issue for me and I wanted as few as possible when the new surface was put down. I was told by the estimator that he would use a 10 foot wide material that would give one seam or a maximum of two. I was informed that the seams would not be visible nor would they come apart. After meeting with the estimator, I signed a contract that the work would be done according to the estimator’s explanation to me of how the repair would be done. I was at my residence when the work team from Nathan’s Roofing arrived to begin work but had to leave to attend to other matters through-out the day. Upon arriving back to my residence, I inspected their work and was not please at all with the work that was performed. I made my dissatisfaction known to the workers and to management at Nathans Roofing. These are my issues with the work that was performed: and middot; The roof consisted of multiple seems and patch-work areas, not the 10 foot wide materials with few seems as told to me by the company’s estimator. and middot; Low spots remained in the roof area as I was told these would be corrected with the new resurface by the estimator. and middot; Underlying nails were noticeable and would punch though over time if walked upon. Again the deck is made for outdoor use and is intended to be walked upon as viewed by the estimator when viewing the job. and middot; At a later date, and doing research on my end, I learned that the material used was not made to walk on. The surface is slippery when wet as I fell when I walked on the deck for the first time. This is hazard to anyone who walks out on the deck if any water is on the surface area. and middot; The surface is bright white in color, greatly reflects the sun and is uncomfortable for anyone sitting or standing on the deck. and middot; Seams around the deck edges and post are uneven showing a sticky yellow substance that will never dry. This is astatically unappealing and makes the deck appear as unfinished. and middot; Overall the job does not look professional and the roof is unusable for the intended use as a walk on surface. When meeting with he was rude, aggressive and unwilling to look at a resolution even though he told me it was unsuitable and could not walk on it safely or put furniture on it which was on there during when he first came out.
