+ 0 moreMathews Well and Pump representatives were very professional and prompt throughout the process. They arrived on time and start working on the well to remove the jet lines, while other crew members were removing the jet pump in the house. They were going to fish 1 inch poly pipes through the 1 1/4 inch copper pipes that are between the house and well. After breaking the seal of the well they discovered that the jet lines were completely stuck (I guess it can happen to a fifty year old well), After hours of trying various things to break them free and remove them which would have allowed them to lower the submersible pump into the well, all their attempts were -sadly- unsuccessful. They were very disappointed and apologetic due to the fact that they were leaving us without water. Since we live in the city, digging a new well was not an option At that point we had to connect to the city water. After waiting three weeks, eating out and taking showers at the gym. City placed the meter and established the connection. (Good thing we filled our tubs prior to loosing water, at least were were able to flush toilets during that time) Once again Matthews Well and pump came on time and they were very courteous. They trenched and laid down a new line from the meter to the house. Our overall experience with Mathews Well and Pump was great and I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Replacing the jet pump with submersible pump and renewing the copper lines from the well to the house.

+ 1 moreThey were fantastic. They are great and fine. It was somewhere under $200. For all the work they did, the price was completely reasonable. They've been around a very long time.
Description of Work: I used Matthews Well & Pump to do an annual service. They checked the well and pump and water filters. They refilled the calcium carbonate and checked the level in the carbon filter. They also test the water.

+ 1 moreIt was a good experience. They are a pretty good outfit; they have been out to my place three times. They seem to be knowledgeable in the subject matter. The first time they came out I had an issue with contamination from surface water enter the well water. The technician that they sent out identified the source of the problem right away and provided an estimate. Then they came back and fixed it. The bill was actually less than the estimate when he was done. They were good on price.
Description of Work: I used Matthews Well and Pump in October. I think it was 200 dollars.

+ 0 moreEverything went great. I"ve recommended them to other folks over the years, but simply forgot to post a review here.
Description of Work: The young man who came arrived right on time. He seemed really young at first, and I was a little nervous, because I hoped he had the experience to do the work right. I've drilled wells years ago, so I know a little about how these things work. I was really impressed by his knowledge, and how he took time to explain, "Why" something work better a different way. He was able to check out all the aspects of the well operation, made the suggestions for a larger pressure vessel, and installed that in short order. He also made adjustments to our pressures,and got everything running great.

+ -1 moreThey’re excellent! They showed up when they were supposed to, were pleasant to deal with, and did the work as promised. They did an excellent job and I plan to call them back to install a new pump for irrigation, which we discussed previously. I would recommend them, and in fact, I have already recommended them to others!
Description of Work: They did some work on a well, including an evaluation on the recovery rate on the well. They replaced the well cover and did a general assessment on it, too.

Description of Work: I'll admit to not 'thinking' about our water well system here, nor where I might turn when a problem comes up. A few years back, shortly after we moved in, a problem arose with our water system. So we decided to 'simply call' the folks who had left a sticker on the tank from a previous (before us) situation. They came, they fixed it, and it worked. We were neither impressed nor upset - but we didn't know any better. Some time later another problem arose in another part of our system. We called the same folks back - but it was a combination of bad weather and holiday, and they didn't have someone immediately available. So we turned to the yellow book and called someone else. These other folks came out - they spent HOURS, CHARGED US high high $$$, and then the system fix they did failed in less than 24 hours! OUCH! So we turned back to the ORIGINAL folks (now that it was a couple days later) and they had no problem coming out to try and help. They did come out... they did a whole series of tests... and they diagnosed, determined and FIXED the problem. It's been several MONTHS since then with all 100% working.. .but I've learned my lesson. Oh, who/which folks were the good guys? MATTHEWS WELL. THEY were the ones with their name on the tank, THEY were the ones who came out when we first moved in, and THEY were the ones who we eventually called to come and fix the system AFTER we had tried someone else. SHAME ON US - we should have stayed with Matthews.... We know better going forward. They were wonderful to work with and did an excellent job!

I never trusted another well system vendor and even let Matthews make recommendations for water softeners, drilling a deep water well, and electricians. They are amazingly wonderful, very punctual, and great to have around the kids and pets. When I sold our house and moved I made sure the new owners had the number of Matthews to continue to service the property.

Description of Work: We had a leak on the sidewall of the well which allowed surface water to get into the drinking water. They came out and sealed the wall so that the water couldn't leak in.

They were everything you would expect when you are in the situation for the first time. I had never had to be responsible for any of that. The home is 60 years old. The well needed a new well pump. He was able to diagnose the situation and give me kind of quote when I called. He also made recommendations for future work when he came to do the work. He was extraordinarily personable.
