Robert came and he was very very good, inspected the well and did something, and figured out that there was a hole on the pipe inside the house and he readily fix it, he also tested the water for PH levels because the pipes were made of copper that caused the holes on the pipes.

Called about 9:30 am. Someone was here within an about an hour. Very polite and professional. Answered all of my questions. Would definitely use again.

Great! Israel, the technician, was very professional and courteous and explained everything that he did. Plus he gave prompt and expert first aid to a young lady involved in an automobile accident in front of our house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who wants quality work done by fine employees who are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty.

Matthews Well & Pump came out to do a water test and inspect all of our well equipment, which was 29 years old. They showed up promptly for the appointment and conducted a thorough review of our system. The technician informed me that the well pump pressure tanks were very close to failure, which was not surprising for a nearly 30 year old system. He re-pressurized the tanks, but recommended that we replace the aging 2 tank system with a single tank system. He took the water sample for testing at the lab. Within about a week, I received the analysis of the water sample, as well as a written recommendation for a softener/filtration system as well as the quote to replace the pressure tanks. The price for the softener seemed a little high, but was less than other quotes I received from competitors. The softener recommended was a 2 tank system - one for softening and one providing whole house filtration. The price to put in a new well pump pressure tank seemed reasonable enough. I asked several questions of the technician via email and by phone. All of my questions were answered with thorough responses. We scheduled the job and Matthews showed up promptly as scheduled. The work was completed very professionally. The company followed-up with us by phone within 2 weeks to be sure we were satisfied with the work and the quality of the water. I would highly recommend Matthews Well & Pump.

It took five appointments before we hit a day that the work could be done. I want to be very clear that the first three appointments were rained out with the rainiest May since the 1800s. Todd, the owner of the company, personally did the work. It took two loads of pea gravel to fill the void in the annular opening! He also advised on work to consider in the future regarding the pipe bringing the water into the house and replacing the pump with a submersible one. We have only owned the home for 10 months. My strongest advice would be to make sure an inspection of the well and pump are done prior to closing. Most real estate agents do not seem to know that this is a nominal cost and should be done if you have a private water source. I will absolutely continue to use the services of Matthews Well and Pump

Called at 7:30am when the company opened. They said they have five people ahead of us that have no water, and they weren't sure they could get to us today. Then the man said, "well, if we can make it out there, will you pay us time and a half?" I responded, "no, I will pay straight time." (This was during normal business hours!) Then I hung up and found someone else. I think it's ridiculous that a company would prey on potential customers in need.

Ended up in a tough spot w/ a blown well pump... Nancy was very understanding in helpful getting Clay & Brandon out as soon as she could, which given the holiday weekend was hugely important. The team diagnosed the issue quickly and had me back up and running in just over an hour. Fair price, excellent service & a quick turn around equals straight A's from me. Since they have been doing our annual maintenance, we have stopped having any problems.They are very knowledgable and professional. I have had considerable experience with well companies and we have a complicated system. They are very responsive and reliable--worth every penny.

The work was done quickly and professionally. I have a much better run time on my pump now, and the curb sealing was excellently done. The price seems high for a replacement pump tank, but that's because I got rid of the teeny pump that was installed by the builder of the home, and installed a much larger tank (which costs more). I could have had the work done for half the cost, but that would have meant putting back in a "too small" pump tank (as the builder did). Don't cheap out with a small pump tank as your well pump will not last as long. The water pressure in my house is also consistent now, where it wasn't with the small tank.

We moved into a project house that had not been lived in for over the past 4 years. We knew our filtration system was old and had been unplugged. Before buying the house I called Matthews as there were stickers on the various tanks, and Nancy in the office was very helpful. After closing and moving in we called and scheduled an appointment. I think bit by bit I had talked to every employee they had. Due to the dormancy of the system we braced for a complete redo. However when John came out and looked it just needed a good cleaning up and the softener system re-connected. They told us how to cut our expenses a lot, and he spent a lot of time explaining how our system worked. While we all know the technology has improved, they appreciated our need to conserve funds, and at no time tried to sell us something we don't need immediately, instead we made a soft plan to upgrade accordingly as they system starts failing. He even told me what to look for in hopes of trouble shooting the inevitable well mishap that happens to us all. Compared to previous filtering companies we have used this was refreshing. We have already scheduled next year's maintenance appointment with them.

First of all whish we went with them first, Our service tech Jhon was great he explained everything to us . gave us a price for doing everything and let us redo the pump ourselfs and he handled under the house. Even helped us find a better pump then what you get at Lowes . he was awesome to say the least !!!!!!! If you have any doughts don't we found our new plumber for life thanks Nancy and Jhon y'all are life savers !!!!!

We had the typical come home from vacation and find a major failure had occurred in our absence. This time around was no water pressure. We had been informed from MW earlier in the year, that our pressure tank was leaking and to be aware of a potential failure soon. We contacted MW on Sunday afternoon with the concern and had a serviceman to our house around noon on Monday. Come to find out the failure wasn't due to the pressure tank, but the shaft in the well. We had the pump, shaft, and tank replaced to save ourselves the headache later. All equipment were used well past their recommended length of time (15+ years).. The serviceman was very professional and had our water back by 2 pm. Matthew's Well had been recommended by the previous owners of our house and do our yearly filtration system maintenance. So far, we have been extremely pleased with their services.

The techs arrived on time, and they immediately started working. They had to trench around the well and trench where the new wiring would go from the house to the well. The owner, Todd, explained the work they would be doing and why it was important. There were three techs, and they all were polite, efficient, and professional in their work ethics.

I accidentally ran over my well pipe and shattered it. I called Matthews to make an appointment to have it repaired. It was on a Fri afternoon and they could not get here until the following week. I spoke with Nancy (very nice) several times and she put me in touch with the owner who explained to me what to look for, what to do, both to protect the well and restore my water, in the meantime. I did both and we were fine until the technician arrived. The technician, Clay Crawford, was a super nice guy, very competant, amiable, and efficient. He dug out the pipe, made the repairs, sanitized the well, and made sure that everything was working fine before he left. It was an excellent experience and I am very pleased with the company and the work they did.

This provider was called to do maintenance on my home water filtration system. When the job was completed and everything was working great, the tech tried to show me how to flush the system and ended up breaking the unit. The unit could not be repaired due to the age and would need a full replacement. The technician knew that the system was fragile but continued to be so rough that he broke unit, right in front of me. He apologized for breaking the system but still gave me the bill. He also told me that while he was there he would check on my well. Without asking my permission he took it upon himself to install a piece of equipment that he thought my well needed and included it on the bill. It was not a necessary piece of equipment. I challenged the bill for the service and he politely advised me that the owner would contact me to discuss the matter further. Even though he charged me for bad service, he apologized profusely and told me that his boss would not allow him to waive any of the charges. At no time did the conversation get angry or heated, I felt sorry for him actually and he left on a good note. Here is the worst part. The owner called me personally and was extremely rude and condescending, he threatened me in such a way that I was literally scared of this man over the phone. After we ended the call, he then called me back to harass me further and asked to speak to my husband because talking to a woman was useless. I was a single mother at the time and I was afraid that if I didn't pay the bill, that this man would sue me and continue to threaten me or worse show up at my door. It was a very disturbing experience and even though this happened a few years back it's still upsetting. I just joined Angies list otherwise I would have written this review much sooner. The owner is not a good person, I wouldn't recommend this Company to anyone.

As I searched Angie's list for a plumber recommendation, I read a comment about Mathew's Well and Pump. I called Mathews, Friday evening and left a message. The next Morning (Saturday), I received a call from Mr. Todd Vander Pol, after a discussion concerning alternative approaches related to sizing a new tank most appropriate for a tight location, he advised I take pictures of the tank and location. I did so and he called later with recommendation. He promised a plumber would arrive first thing Monday along with the right tank. Clay arrived right on time then did a great job. He had us in business two hours later with a quality tank with long lasting fittings.fittings.. He even managed to clean up a plumbing mess made by the original plumber, and to relocate the tank with future maintenance in mind.. Frankly, I was glad the old tank failed, I knew that now I had a new tank plumbed properly, I would have one more home owner concern crossed off my "to do" list. Even after explaining all this to Matthews that they were at fault and did not fix anything and wanted to charge me erroneously and tell me I was wrong when I was right spot on with what was going on, they preferred to leave me with no water and a winter storm coming on this Wednesday. Keil plumbing is coming here tomorrow to fix all this . I have nothing but good things to say about them, Woodfin, Dominion and Stemmle I have used over the years. Things happen for a reason and Matthews>>>> I <<<<<<do not want to do business again with you. Nor do a couple other people who have had issues in the past as well. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I was pleased with this company. They were efficient and did a really nice job. They came out when they said they would and took care of the problem. They were very professional.

No problems. The service tech was very courteous, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions about my well and filtering needs. He removed 2 old filters that were plumbed into my water system and added a new modern filter. He also took the time to reroute the pipes properly to and from the new filter. I thought the bill was a little high but you get what you pay for. I will gladly call them again if I have any other water well or filter needs.

Everything went very well. We called to schedule the appointment and the arrived right on time. Todd was very thorough with his inspection and very honest. When he first got there he mentioned that we may have a small leak because of the low water pressure. Our initial thoughts were "great, another large repair bill for something we know nothing about". After he finished the inspection he told us that we did not have a leak and the pump just needed a slight charge (which was included in the inspection anyway). We were thrilled!!! It would have been so easy to tell us we needed a repair and we would have never known the difference! We are so happy to have found them and we will use them again. The results of the water test came back and again we were thrilled! We have some of the cleanest water they have tested (we live in rural Hanover). Again, we really appreciated the honesty! We are planning to have a filter installed early next year and we will use them for the installation. The filter will help with the water hardness and brassy blonde hair problem we are having.

We lost all water pressure from our well. I selected and called this company based on information from Angie's List. The lady I talked to was extremely nice and helpful and said they would have someone respond that afternoon. Clay arrived just a few hours later (right on time) and diagnosed the problem within about 10 min. It was obvious he was very experienced and he replaced our pressure tank and well pump to fix the system. He was very cordial and professional, even down to the electrical connections he made during installation. It's the little things that make a big difference! I would DEFINITELY use this company again and recommend highly recomment them.
