Description of Work: How to transform a never-landscaped rural yard into a rehearsal dinner venue? It began by adding a flagstone path from the drive to the front door, weeding flowerbeds, and putting down lots of hardwood mulch. From the estimate completed within a day of my first contact, to their working with my "emergency" schedule, to the owner coming with the crew to scope the job, to the pleasant pair of guys who worked here all day, this was a great experience. I relied on angies list because I had no time to mess around. Of course I paid for this and it was more expensive than my husband will ever know. But the yard was ( and is) beautiful for our special evening.

Description of Work: Have a small yard Had Common Wealth Landcare clean and grade the yard kill the old vegetation ( mostly dirt!) and put down topsoil and sod. Looks Fantastic they also graded and mulched my entire back yard ( which is heavily shaded) mulched around the trees and in a two foot strip around the house. There was no mess they cleaned up each time they left it looks great and I will use them in the future this is my second go with this company and I am very satisfied with their work.

Description of Work: I communicated with them by phone and email. I was trying to have a new sprinkler system installed. On the scheduled day of the visit for the estimate, agreed to by both parties, they did not show up on time. I called, which was a good thing, because they had forgotten to put me on the list for a visit that day. They came out and did some markings for a system, and told me they would be in touch with an estimate. They were polite during the encounter. Unfortunately, that was the last time I have heard from them. Disappointed. I decided not to followup with them further, as they seemed disorganized as they forgot our scheduled appointment, and then did not contact me with an estimate after their visit. I have little trust once a company shows this type of behavior twice.

Description of Work: We had been using a national lawn care company and a local man to for cutting. This year we opted to consolidate these services under a single provider. After interviewing several companies we selected Commonwealth. They provide us with monthly lawn care and maintenance as well as shrub and bush pruning. In addition, they are providing all applicable lawn, tree and shrub treatments for seeding, pest and disease control. | |To date, the service has been as promised. The team arrives within an hour of the same time every week and we are notified well ahead of time of the application of any topical treatments. It's been just a couple of months but so far the experience has met or exceeded my expectations. | |

Description of Work: They accommodated us with an earlier start date as we had an event planned. They came on 2 days and did the quotes for the separate days. They did a nice clean up of beds and munched. The next day they placed sod in the back yard after nicely preparing it.

Description of Work: They did a good job of removing the leaves and cut back several clumps of lazy susan. My problem was with the back gate that wasn't secured properly. Later it blew open and made it possible for my elderly cat to leave the security of the back yard. Fortunately I found the open gate and secured it before he noticed it. The gate is hard to close but other lawn workers either managed it or asked me to show them how to get it secured again. These folks didn't do either.

+ 0 moreInitially, I called Commonwealth Landcare and left a message that I wanted to have leaves removed from our yard. Michael called me back within a couple of hours, and he gave me a time (for the same day) that he would come by to assess the yard and give me a price. He showed up when he said he would and gave me a price that I thought was reasonable. Michael told me he would do the leaf removal the next day, unless the forecasted storms prevented him from doing so. In which case he said he would come the day after but would call to confirm. It did rain the the day Commonwealth Landcare was to come, but they showed up during a break in the rain. (I told Michael I was surprised to see them, but he told me he had checked the radar, and it showed a several-hour pause in the rain). They did a very thorough job and were finished in about 3 hours. The whole process, from my initial phone call to them and the total removal of the leaves, took less than 24 hours! I also want to add "animal friendly" to this report. They were careful not to disturb the resting areas of some of the neighborhood animals who drop by during the day.
Description of Work: Commonwealth Landcare did leaf removal on our 1/4 acre lot, 2 decks and driveway. We have many trees and had only done minor leaf removal ourselves this season. The leaves were quite thick in some areas.
