I purchased one of the Angie's List specials that Commonwealth Landcare Inc. offered. (6 Hours of Yard work for $149) First and foremost Michael Pugh was prompt in responding to my yard work scheduling request. Michael wanted to get an idea what the work involved and asked me questions. We scheduled a day and time for the work and team of two guys arrived on time. After explaining them the projects, I asked whether they would be able to finish the outlined work within the allotted time frame. They assured me that the 3 hours for each man (2X3=6 Hours) was sufficient to complete the tasks. They immediately start working and did not stop for three straight hours. Since they promised that they would complete all the tasks discussed, they stayed extra half an hour. At the end, the yard look immaculate. I wish I had taken pictures of it. Later on Michael and I communicated and it was only fair for me to pay the extra man hour (1/2 hr X 2 men) they stayed. I look forward to using their services in the next season.

Mike called and emailed detailed questions to me to make sure he sent the right crew and equipment several days in advance. The crew arrived as expected and got right to work. I purchased the 6 hour special, and I got 2 men, 3 hours each. They accomplished more in that time than we would have in 3 weekends! Our neighbors can't believe how great our yard looks. Mike followed up to make sure we were happy, and we will definitely use them again.

I signed up for a year cycle treatment for Commonwealth Landcare Inc. to controll weeds on my lawn, and put down more seeds so my lawn can look greener and fuller. So far I think everything is working as planned. I can see the new grass shooting up and I think my lawn looks better than before. I can still see some weeds growning with the grass but the treatment is still ongoing so I can't say much yet but with what I've seen so far, I believe my lawn is in safe hands with Coomonwealth Landcare Inc. I will post an updated review when the entire process is done.

He was pleasant, professional and took the time to answer a couple of questions I had, which was very helpful. We'll use them again, when we need further lawn care.

The gentleman showed up early and got right to work. I watched them do a very thorough job of aerating both my front and back yards. Used a blower on my sidewalk to remove all the debris. I'm getting an estimate to have some additional work done in the near future.

They were prompt and very polite. I explained what needed to be done and they did all I asked and some extra - organizing some items that I needed to take to the dump. I will definitely use them again!

Only real problem was getting them scheduled. We had agreed on a date and they called a few days before to say they couldn't make it and needed to push me back a few weeks. Once they arrived, they worked steadily and did a good job.

They were punctual, efficient, and professional. It was very convenient to be able to schedule my appointment via email and I received a quick response to my questions.

The two workers showed up about noon and worked straight through until they got the job done. I was honestly prepared for them to only get a portion of what I wanted done, but they cleared the area of ground cover, weeds, volunteer trees and even leaves down to bare earth. I was very very pleased with the effort they put in and with the results. They couldn't get up all the leaves, but that was my last priority and there were a lot of leaves. I did not see them take a break or loiter around trying to stretch their contracted time which I have seen happen many times. All in all they were extremely professional, thorough and did a great job. They did in three hours something I have tried to get done for several years. I would definitely hire Commonwealth Landcare again and recommend them without hesitation to anyone I know who needs outside grounds work done.

They did a good job and I would use them again. What I didn't like is how Angie's List handled the communication for big deals. However, Commonwealth Landcare went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the service, which I am.

Commonwealth aerated and seeded my lawn. We were not present when they did the work, but when I returned home, I could tell they had done a thorough job of aerating because there were plenty of soil plugs all over the lawn. Since this project, new grass has sprouted nicely. I have had to do some supplemental seeding in bare spots, but I did not expect Commonwealth's work to take care of the worst parts of the lawn. At this price, this was a great value.

I purchased 6 hours of yard work as an Angie's Big Deal from Commonwealth Landcare, Inc. The work was scheduled at my convenience for the morning of November 11. Two workers would work 3 hours each for the total of 6 hours. Two young men arrived a little before 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning. We took a quick walk around the yard so I could point out what I wanted done. They got to work immediately and finished my list before the the purchased time was up. During the remaining time, they made great progress in cleaning up a backyard that had gotten away from me during the summer. I was very pleasantly surprised by how much they were able to accomplish in 3 hours. Both workers were very polite, professional and tidy. At my request, they removed the bushes, pots and weeds that resulted from the planting and yard clean up. When I decide what to do next with the yard, I will definitely contact Commonwealth Landcare, Inc.

The deal was eight hours of yard work by two men. They showed up on time and got right to work. I had them tear out a large plot of ivy which took about 5 hours. They removed bushes, trimmed bushes, and hauled everything away. When they were done they swept up. It was great. I definitely got my 8 hours worth. The men were polite. I would use them again.

I thought they were great. My yard is bigger than the amount of ground they quoted in their advertisement. Actually, I think he gave me a really good deal on doing the rest of it but I did pay more. I actually have been out that day, I came home hoping I was going to find them here because I really didn't think they would be able to cover my whole property for what the advertisement was. They were about half done when I got here and he told me basically what he thought it was worth for him to do the rest of it if I wanted him to do it and I did. They did it and when I came back, it was done. Other than that, we really have nothing to say. I think the price was fair. He was very professional.

Aerated the yard and applied grass seed. Did a great job. Only complaint was that they never contacted us to set up appointment to do work. We just happened to be home when they arrived.

They cleared debris, weeds, saplings, lots of ivy, etc. from my property and trimmed bushes and other trees. They left the things that I wanted left and all in all did a very good job. They even swept the driveway when finished ( which was pretty well covered with pine needles and leaves. So, I was very well satisfied that they did a good job. It covered 2 and 1/2 days in total and my place looks so much better!

7The work was completed quickly and professionally leaving very well done landscaping around my units.

The appointment was made easily online. I left a note as to my preference in dates and service hours. Mr. Pugh promptly responded my message and accomodated my requested date and time. According to my husband who was at home for the service, the crew arrived on time and started working on the lawn promptly. He and I can tell they did great job as the lawn has become greener.

I wanted to update this review because after the company saw my first review they stopped by and applied more seed. I thought it was great that the company would try to rectify the situation. I upgraded their grade and thought it would be fair to share my experience

I have been reluctant to write this review because I do not want to give a bad review. I saw a deal on Angie's List for six hours of work from a landscaping company. I called the company and told them I had a ten-foot hedge that ran the length of my backyard that I wanted cut down. Two men arrived on time, and I showed them the hedge. I asked them to cut the hedge down to about a foot off of the ground, and, if they had time, to pull the weeds that were behind the hedge. One of the men started cutting the hedge, and the other went behind the hedge and started pulling the weeds. At the end of the six man hours, half of the hedge was down, and all of the weeds had been pulled. The men, who were very nice and professional, were able to put about half of the hewn hedge onto their truck. They left. I still had about half of the hedge standing and about half of the cut hedge lying in my yard. The owner, who was very polite, came by and explained that the job had been too big to do in the time allotted and that in order to finish the job, he would have to assign two men for another whole day. I thanked him and called another company to finish the job. The other company sent three men, and in two hours, they not only finished cutting the hedge, they took out the roots, leveled the ground, and disposed of all of the yard waste.. I think that many of the problems I experienced could have been avoided had the owner come by to look at the job before his men started. Although I described the hedge to him on the phone, I don't think he understood what was involved.. As I said, the two men who came were very nice, but the job was a bad fit for this company. I reckon they would have been great if I had merely wanted the hedge trimmed and the weeds pulled, but I was clear in describing on the phone what I was expecting.. The job was too much for them in the allotted time.

The crew was terrific. They got right to work and listened to what I wanted to do. This project has been on my "to do" list for a long time. I am very grateful for their help! Will definitely call for my next project.

Second time using Mike and his crew. He fit me in at short notice and his crew came out and hustled like mad men to get the job of some basic renovation to my lawn. Very much worth my money. At this point I'll be calling Mike first for any work needed on the lawn and wooded area (see prior review).

They were able to accommodate my quick need for service and scheduled me just a few short days after I contacted them. They showed up professional, super friendly and punctual. I really liked them and I will look into using them for regular maintenance.

It was great. They cleaned up the borders, raked everything, planting quite a few flowers and climbing up some trees to cut some limbs down. They also mulched the back and front yard. I was expecting them to only get the front done, but they were able to get the front and back done! They came and got to work, before I knew it they were done. They were courteous and helpful, I asked a lot of questions.

I purchased a deal through Angie's List with Commonwealth Landcare Inc. for yard work. I needed quite a bit of yard maintenance done. On October 7th, a two man crew arrived and removed a year's worth of leaves from my entire yard, cut the grass and edged the lawn. Heavy showers stopped the work until another day. On the rescheduled day of work, a three man crew arrived promptly and quickly trimmed all my hedges, cut back a large area of overgrown ivy and got up the newly fallen leaves. I am very pleased with all the work that was done. The crew was very thorough and cleaned up all the debris. I would definitely hire Commonwealth Landcare Inc. again!
