Mid Atlantic Construction (MAC) recently completed a roof replacement on our home. The MAC project manager assigned (Roque Fuentes) was very patient with my many, many questions and call backs. He listened to my apprehensions and ensured that the contract and repair process was transparent and fair. When we finally agreed to the work, our home was programmed much faster than I had originally imagined. Though the programmed date was pushed back a day due to weather, once the repair started it was completed in one work day.

The experience was very good. The contractor worked with our insurance company to facilitate the inspections and paperwork. They explained how the process would work and executed it as planned and exactly on budget. The crew that did the work was extremely professional and did a really nice job. I checked around the house and driveway pretty thoroughly after they were done and did not find any roofing nails or other materials they didn't pick up. Based on my experience with this one job, I think this team really knows their business - they were efficient, neat and did quality work. Scheduling the actual work did take several months but that was expected (in large part due to having to work though the insurance claims process and the large number of similar claims in our area) and the contractor set that expectation with me up front, which I appreciated. The damage was not yet at the point where any leaks had started so there was no need to expedite the job anyway. But the lead time is something to be aware of.

The process went very smoothly thanks to the Project Manager, Ryan. Ryan met with my insurance representative to examine the roof for hail damage. I think this step is critical to start the process correctly. The insurance company approved all of MAC assessment of work needed. Ryan explained the work process and walked us through all the steps. He was available and responsive. The workers completed the roof in one day despite cold weather. They were professional, did a good job, and very carefully cleaned any debris. MAC replaced roofs on many houses in my neighborhood and I expect my neighbors are also happy with the results.

Josh Spadafora made the process easy to understand and the work was completed according to the timeline Josh laid out for us. Very professional company with great results. Couldn't be happier!

The workers that replace the roof and siding were excellent. The down side was the length of time that it took to get the work scheduled and started (over 4 months). Project management was a big disappointment. I got a lot of calls about when the insurance check would arrive but not many about getting the work scheduled. Estimates for additional work took over two weeks, I finally gave up. Everything pertaining to billing and estimates were done manually, requiring multiple in-person visit to my home. This was very inconvenient and what's worse the rep did not have the paperwork completed and ready for review when he arrived. In the end, I was frustrated and just wanted the ordeal over.

It went well. Crew was in and out in less than a day. Finished product looked good. Minimal cleanup necessary once they were finished.

MAC did a great job, the siding looks great. They initially forgot to replace the gutters and downspouts that they removed to install the siding. Tyler said that it was a mistake on the paperwork on their part and didn't charge us for this.

I have nothing short of excellent reviews for Mac . From the estimate through the scheduling ,services , clean up . They where prompt and professional through out the process . Ihassan performed the inspection , handled the some of the oversight , and was a constant contact through out the job . They had a 4 to 6 week window of service and this was exact .

We would hire Mid-Atlantic again. Tyler Grantz, our project manager, was great at keeping us informed of the process, and in explaining how things would work with the insurance company. He was very responsive in getting back to us via email. He was excellent to work with. When dealing with the front office they were not as responsive as Tyler. The process of dealing with the insurance company and finally getting the roof done is a long process, especially since so many people in our neighborhood were getting roof replacements because of the storm. I think Mid- Atlantic did a good job of keeping up with the tremendous work load they got because of the storm. The quality of the work was very good, our roof and gutters look great.

My husband and I were not really interested in going through the process of replacing our siding and roof but when the sales rep came to our front door and gave us Tyler Grantz's number, we simply couldn't turn it down. Tyler was extremely helpful (I had a lot of questions) and was always available to discuss any concerns. The siding and roof turned out beautifully and we could not be happier! Only slight downside was we signed everything in October and work did not start until January 4th. However, once the work did start it was VERY quick and very smooth. Overall, extremely satisfied and would absolutely recommend them to anyone! Thank you Tyler for everything!

If you have the good fortune to have Josh as a project manager, you are, seriously, in good hands. He will bend over backwards for his clients. I can't say enough good things about him both as a person and a professional. Sometimes, things don't go perfectly on a job site but Josh consistently goes above and beyond to take care of his clients and to resolve any situations that arises. After the hail storm in Manassas, VA in May 2016 we started the process to get our roof, siding and window wraps replaced. MAC did a great job working directly with our insurance company and getting the job done. The job was done in stages, which made it easier for us to prepare each time a team of workers came to the house. Josh is a great person to work with and Jane was very helpful in getting the little things done.

They replaced our siding after a hail storm. We are happy with the work so far and their rep, Caleb, was very responsive and helpful in working through the logistics and insurance bureaucracy with us.

Very hard to even get a call back initially to schedule an appointment. It took several phone calls to even speak to a sales person. When I did get someone to set up an visit they had to cancel due to weather and reschedule, perfectly understandable. But, sales person never showed or called and I have not heard from them again.

Really well overall. First time homeowners and first time roof replacement. MAC was easy to work with throughout the process. Our project manage Caleb even came out to help us select a color for the replacement shingles. Who knew. Once the job was set they were really efficient, less than three days on site, and they didn't leave any mess around the yard.

Although there were a hiccups with getting the full amount approved MAC completed the work replacing all of our siding and other damaged accessories on our home. MAC did an outstanding job on replacing the siding and the house is better than new again. I would recommend MAC for home improvement/repair projects, no question.

I start this review debating if I should be upset or if I should let my sarcastic side come out to cope with the frustration that I have to put up with when working with MAC. But I will try my best to keep this as serious as possible. Our dilemma started on November 9. The MAC Project Manager (PM) came over to our house to tell us what is being installed. We quickly went over the contract to replace the roof, window screens, and gutters then signed off on the color of the roof. He then told us to call the office to make a (huge) payment so they can order materials. He informed us that they will be in contact with us and that our roof will be completed well before Christmas. Fast forward a month later. No call or email regarding our roof. This concerns us because we just handed the company thousands of dollars and we would have thought a company would extend the common courtesy to reach out to the customer let us know that they have not forgotten us and they will be scheduling the roof soon. However, we never heard anything from them. We emailed the PM asking about our roof and received no response. We then called the office and was told they would call us back but that phone call was never returned until we called and told them how an appointment was never made by the PM. We then received a call from the scheduler to replace our roof on December 16 then subsequently December 17. After the roof was completed the contractors left and I was left wondering why the windows and gutters were not done. I had to call to ask why it was not complete. Only then was I told that these are two separate crews who will do the work and they will call to schedule an appointment to replace. This was the second issue I have with MAC - lack of communicating to the customer the process. Well we waited and waited for a 2 weeks and no phone call. So we called the office to make the appointment ourself instead of waiting for the scheduler. So now we were scheduled for Dec 31 to replace our gutters. Well, we received a call from MAC to reschedule to Jan 2 and we accepted the new date. On January 2 we waited, and waited, and waited. No one showed up. We called the office and they were closed. We left a message and heard nothing the next day. We finally called and they told us they didn't do work on Jan 2 because they were closed (obviously). Strike 3! Well the gutters were replaced on January 4. And as I drive up to my home the first thing I notice is how white the gutters were. Like blaring white! My previous gutters were beige to match the color of our house. We called the PM and left a message. Guess what?! No phone call. Shocking. He waited a couple days later to talk to us in person because he had to come to our home to repair our window screens. What happened to calling and letting us know you received our messages? Strike 3... or is it 4?! I lost count with all the headaches we have to deal with when working with them. When the PM got to our house he even admitted that the color was wrong and he will let us know what they will do to resolve it. Drum roll... after a week of waiting, no phone call. So wanting to save the company some effort in picking up the phone to call us, we called them this past Friday Jan 13. The gutter scheduler had no idea that our gutters had to be corrected. So she would let us know once she talks to the PM what needs to be done next. Well it's Monday, January 16, and we were just told that we signed a contract for white gutters. Hold up!! When going into this process we were under he impression that everything will be replaced of like-kind and quality. When we signed the contract the only thing the PM stressed was the color of the roof shingles. In fact we had to initial the contract to show that we are accepting the roof color. Everything else on the contract was just breezed over and acknowledging that our gutters and windows will be repaired as well. No where in that conversation was the color being brought up. We figured this was standard operating procedure because it's being replaced of like-kind and quality. So now we are at this point, waiting for the General Manager to call us for the second time to resolve another issue of the lack of communication and customer service. This has been an awful experience having to work with the company and their Project Manager. I have been in the construction industry my entire career and this is, by far, very unacceptable. The story is not over yet... more to come!

We worked with Josh from Mid-Atlantic after the hail storm that damaged our siding. He was great to work with, always on top of things, and worked with the insurance company to make sure everything was covered by our insurance. The workers did a great job and were so quick with their work and the siding looks great.

Mid Atlantic Construction was responsive to my needs and walked me through the process. Josh Spadafora (703) 404-9777 took care of my needs from start to finish, which was important as I was unaware of all of the insurance challenges that needed to be addressed.

MAC did a nice job replacing our siding after some hail damage to our house. The process took several months, but honestly a lot of those delays were on our end or with our insurance company. Josh was always friendly and respectful, and responded promptly to my calls and texts. (The team replacing the siding was generally prompt as well, though I would have appreciated a heads up on the one day they didn't show because of rain.) Overall I am satisfied with the work, no major complaints. Siding looks great too!

The house looks much better. The roofing and siding teams were professional and did a good job of not only the work it self, but the clean up as well. Care was taken to cover up portions of my shrubs with tarps and my back porch. Colleen was very helpful with the roofing scheduling when it was determined that it was going to rain the day of the roofing job. For the siding team, that never happened. I never got a call that they were not going to show up. Once they did however, the team did a wonderful job on the siding.

The job went very smoothly and quickly. Me and my wife are thrilled.
