Excellent. They arrived when they said they would. They did a very neat and professional job. They explained everything to me, in detail, and they answered all my questions. They did a great job with the clean up once all the work was complete. I was very impressed with their service.

August 23, 2019 If you look up the word Exemplary you should find the name Basement Masters WaterProofing. I needed some help with fixing the foundation to my home so I started looking up information on companies that did this kind of work. I even went to Angie’s List to find out who they recommended. Basement Masters WaterProofing was one of the companies listed. I looked at all the ones on Angie’s List and started reading the reviews. It was Basement Masters WaterProofing reviews that jumped out and said to me THIS IS THE COMPANY!!! There was a review from July 31, 2014 that said the following in a review in part “…they didn’t try to sell me ANYTHING, let alone work I didn’t need. They told me what Basement Masters would do if they were hired and there was no pitch, no hard sell, no “your husband must be home…”. That did it for me. After reading this I called and set up an appointment. I talked to Leah, a wonderful person, who helped me set up the appointment and Sharif Omar came to my home a short time later. WOW!!! I gave him the over view of the homes history and then he explained everything that would be done. The man even answered ALL my questions and I had a lot of those. At the end of our conversation he even encouraged me to contact other companies before deciding on who would do the work. I explained to him about the review I had seen and told him that this company was the one I wanted to do the job for me. It was a few days later that Sharif e-mailed me the contract explaining everything that would be done along with pictures. The fact that he came to my home and talked with me and answered all my questions and did not strong arm me and did not say you must sign NOW, or try to sell items not needed and most importantly he did not tell me my husband had to be present was WONDERFUL!!! Sharif was a true professional, exceptional at his job and I really thank him for all the information he gave me. A short time later a date was set for the crew to come and start the work. The job would be done in 2 days depending on the weather. Just an fyi this job was done during 100-degree weather. It is now when words like flawless, excellent, outstanding, exceptional, above/beyond reproach, come into play for this company and those who do the job. When Walter and his crew arrived to start working, I talked with him explained the history of the house and during the whole process he would answer all my questions about what is this, why are you doing that and how will this help. The man was wonderful!!! Then you have the crew WOW!!! Walter and his group worked together like a well-oiled machine. It was unreal. They did all this work by hand no heavy equipment. They dug a whole 5ft deep and 3ft wide and all worked together to get the job done. If one man moved to do something else another just picked up what he was doing. They worked nonstop. I cannot begin to say enough about this company and the people they have working for them. So Exemplary I think sums it up, Basement Master WaterProofing, represents the best of its kind. From those to coordinate the plan and those who make that plan happen. I think my home is better protected and will last for many years to come. Thank You Basement Masters WaterProofing!!! While Basement Masters was not the cheapest quote I received, Randal was by far the most detailed and professional of a half dozen project estimators who looked at the water intrusion into two separate basements of my home. He spent the time to analyze where the water was coming from, and design mitigtion plans for each basement. He explained to me where the underground water flow came from and why the cheaper solutions that other contractors were proposing would not work. He was absolutely right. His design included two sump pumps while other contractors proposed only a singe one. The second pump expels far more water that the one in the location that all other designs included. If I had gone with the cheapest rather than the correct solution I would have still had water intrusion and had to refinish the basement all over again a second time. His design, while more expensive in the short term, saved me a lot of time and money in the long run.

It was easy to make an appointment and Randall arrived at the appointed time. He reviewed our recent problem with a damp basement, and quickly diagnosed the problem. He suggested some DIY solutions ( grading in the yard, etc.) we should try first and then offered his company’s services if our own repairs didn’t work out. It was refreshing to have an honest appraisal without any attempt at a hard sell. If the solution his suggested doesn’t work ( although we and he are confident it will) we will be sure to call him back.

We own 2 rental properties. Recently one of them had issues with a leak in the basement. I called Basement Masters because they had successfully and professionally installed an interior drain system and sump pump 6 years ago in our other rental. This is a 2 part review because I don't think I ever completed a review from the first time. Current job: Leah with customer care worked to get us on the schedule on a day that worked for us to meet with Randall for an estimate, who we worked with the first time. This was tricky because this has been a busy season, and we live over an hour away from the property. Randall came and spent time inspecting the area where we had already cut drywall, and we cut out a few more sections. He inspected inside and out, and suggested a "water test." We then were able to find the source of the leak with only one more cut. It wasn't a crack, and he advised us on how to proceed. Previous job: We had gotten estimates from 4 different companies for a severe seepage issue at our other rental. Randall very clearly explained the options with visuals and terminology. It was straightforward, and there were no pushy sales tactics like we experienced with some of the other estimators. The job was done efficiently and in a timely manner. In the years since, there has not been any problems in that basement with the combination of a sump pump and interior drain.

This is the second job that Basement Masters has done for me. Both times it was done great with care and quality. Randall is a nice honest person to work with.

Basement Masters Waterproofing (BMW) was professional from beginning to end. I consulted with at least 5 companies for my basement waterproofing issues. My initial appointment was with Randall who spent a considerable time reviewing my issues and explaining his intended solution. He was able to address any questions and I learned a considerable amount from his site survey. I chose BMW due to the professionalism of the site survey as well as the significant detail provided in the proposal. The intended project was outlined step by step. The project was completed by a team of four headed up by Walter. The team was very professional and it was obvious that they took pride in their work and enjoyed working with each other. Walter is a great team leader. He provided updates as well as addressed any questions. I was impressed that the team managed to arrive precisely on time each morning in spite of considerable traffic. Randall has remained available to answer follow up questions, I am confident that the positive rapport will continue. I will send an addendum to my evaluation after I have had the ability to observe results after some serious rains. I do, however, maintain complete confidence and I highly recommend Basement Masters Waterproofing.

I was very impressed with the entire process. I had Basement Masters return to repair another wall. I highly recommend this company.

This was done 3 years ago. It went well. Workers hand dug a trench around the foundation, sealed any cracks in the cinder block, applied several layers of sealant and waterproofing to the cinder block wall up from the footers to ground level, installed a french drain, filled in soil and replanted the shrubbery that they had to remove, tested drainage, cleaned up all debris and installed an outside sump pump and replaced the interior sump pump. It took 3 1//2 days to complete the job. I have had no dampness or water in my basement since - including this year when we have had close to 5 foot of rain. I am pleased with the work and glad I had it done.

Basement Masters Waterproofing were great. Randall came out to inspect my leaking basement and was wonderful. He explained what was going on and we discussed options. He did not pressure me to do anything and even told me that fixing the problem wasn’t urgent. After 6 more months of rain I was ready. Walter and his crew came out and dug up my basement to install a sump pump. They were friendly, professional, efficient and clean. They350 had to haul jackhammered pieces of concrete up my stairs and out my front door. They were very neat and clean everything up when they were done. I am extremely satisfied with the work that was done and I would hire this company again in a minute. PS, no more water in my basement!

The work performed by Basement Masters Waterproofing was truly exemplary. They were on time for every appointment, explained all our options fully, provided the most competitive estimate, were neat and efficient while conducting the work, and all staff were polite. Everyone in our family was very pleased, and we HIGHLY recommend them. They did very high quality work for less money than some of their competitors.

Randall Butterfield came out and did the estimate. Randall explained everything that he found and what would be done. He estimated 2.5 days but they were done sooner then that. The guys who did the were were a very nice group and even did a nice job of putting back plants very carefully so we lost no plants from the job. Randall included a water pump in the job and took that cost off when it was found that it was unnecessary. Great job, great service and I've recommended them to others.

At times it was a mixed bag, but overall good. There were some great things Basement masters did, and some areas of improvement. Where they were great - Quality of the work and ability to adjust and meet our needs was outstanding. On the first site visit, they presented awesome ideas on how to improve our basement by moving the sump and installing drainage by the water heaters, no other company offered these ideas. Walter, the on site manager, was great. His team showed up at the same time every day and they really worked their butts off, and Walter is very polite and professional. Our basement was exceptionally challenging, and Walter checked in with me each morning and evening to explain progress and trouble shoot issues. Basement Masters also readjusted their schedule to help us when our basement was actively flooding. Randall, the rep, was great about replying the night we had the flooding to figure things out. I'd give them an A for the quality of the work. And most importantly, the basement has been COMPLETELY DRY! Areas of improvement - Communication, big time. Emails go unanswered, questions missed, etc. On our initial consult, my husband came home from work and we waited for the team member to arrive for several hours. We finally had to reach out to their team to learn he was stuck at another job, but wouldn't have known if we didn't reach out. When it came to email communication, they have a lot of work to do. It was very frustrating at times to ask 3 questions, bulleted out an in an email, and not get responses. I had to follow up almost every time to get a reply (and I waited 2-3 days each time). Additionally, billing was a mess. I was never billed for my deposit, which would have helped to spread out the large bill. Then, 3 MONTHS later, out of the blue and without warning, my credit card was charged $6k on the day I was literally sitting down to purchase a car. The timing couldn't have been worse and I couldn't believe that 1) I wasn't billed sooner, and 2) that I didn't get ANY heads up. Finally, when we inquired about pricing to extend our sump drainage, we told their team we'd get back to them on whether or not to pursue the additional work. Somehow, their team interpreted this as a sign off and went ahead and extended the sump line without our consent. That said, for their mistake, they adjusted the pricing considering we were going to do the work ourselves and save the money, which we really appreciated. Final bill: Appx $8k to trench the entire basement, move sump and get new sump, trench and extend new draining to front of property. Initial quote was less, but there were additional charges (about $1500) when we discovered that the foundation was a bit beefier than usual, which was fair. Overall: Despite poor communication, the work was good and we were very impressed with how the team problem solved and presented ideas/options to us. Day to day handling of the project was great. If I hired them again, I would be prepared to wait for emails and would be even more proactive about getting answers I need, as well as monitoring the billing process to make sure it doesn't all happen on one day. But again, Walter and team are great and are worth hiring.

This was a rehire because I had some work done by Basement Masters at my previous home and their work was excellent. They arrived on time and completed the project on schedule. They had ordered the wrong size window, but they ordered another one and got it here very quickly. We went with a premium fiberglass window well (looks like it is made of stone blocks), a clear polycarbonate well cover, and a premium window, so the job was not inexpensive. They had to excavate down about seven feet to install the window well. They verified that the drainage at the base of the foundation would properly drain away any water that might get in the well, but with the polycarbonate well cover, very little water ever gets in the well. The polycarbonate well cover also keeps out leaves, animals, debris, and keeps people from falling in the well. The workers were courteous, explained what they were doing and cleaned up after themselves. Everything was done in a professional manner, and as before, the quality of work was excellent. I highly recommend this company.

BMW installed our basement egress window in the summer of 2016. We had several companies bid on the project, both higher and lower cost estimates, and ultimately chose to go with BMW. Their CEO, Randall, personally came out and scoped the project - and even offered advice for me on how to finish the basement. The crew were effective and carefully avoided mature shrubs to dig the massive hole, even laid a tarp down to keep the dirt from ruining the sod, even a vinyl tarp inside my basement to keep dust and smoke fumes down from the gas axe. The project was completed on time, and the only hiccup was they had brought the wrong well, which they were able to bring the correct one the very next day. Further the egress passed inspection on the first try, and 2 years later we haven't had a single issue or leak. And there was plenty of rain this year to test it! Easy to work with and very helpful in explaining all the options we could have taken with the sump pump installation. Zero complaints. They know what they are doing - true pros.

We were very pleased with all aspects of Basement Masters Waterproofing's performance. Several vendors had said that they would look at the job -- entailed enlarging an existing basement window to comply with local codes for a bedroom, installing a new escape window, and enlarging the window well and timber framing for the well -- however, Basement Masters was the only one who provided a solid bid at a reasonable price and schedule. They kept to their promised schedule (a difficult task because of unpredictable late Fall weather), did an excellent job of cutting the concrete wall and installing a code-compliant escape window, and in enlarging and reframing the window well. Project manager, Mr Butterfield, was extra careful to ensure that there new well had proper drainage & was correctly connected to the existing drain system. Work crew was polite, efficient and went the extra distance to keep the work area clean. Bottom line: this company provides excellent service at reasonable prices.

The company was wonderful and the work went well. I am fully satisfied. It is a wonderful company to work with and I would recommend it to anyone.

We were very pleased with the job that the company did for us. They put in a drain tile and sump pump in the basement. Everyone that we dealt from the company was very nice and helpful in getting the job completed. We would definitely recommend this company for any to hire for water proofing.

I got wet basement due to excess rain. I interviewed top three waterproofing companies from Angie's list. I picked Basement Masters. Here are the three reasons - (1) The owner, Randall articulated a plan well to me and seemed to have my best interest in mind. (2) The customer care, Leah was friendly and personal. (3) Their price point was very reasonable. It turned out that my basement concrete was unexpectedly thicker than normal. They didn't complain and didn't raise the price and complete the work in 3 days. They installed French drain, added new sump pump, buried downspout drains outside. They did clean and beautiful job (see pictures below) and provided responsive customer care after installation. I was pleased with their performance and will hire them again.

Amazing. I recommend this company to anyone and everyone having basement flooding or waterproofing issues. They worked with us on our first home for a very reasonable price and provided a quality service. Do not go with the big companies and their high pressure sales at double to triple the cost. Basement masters provided everything the big companies offered and did not take us to the cleaners.

The project itself was carefully planned. As far as contract performance itself, team of 4 was punctual and worked very hard over two days to complete the work as scheduled. The work appeared thorough and well planned. They kept the work site as neat as possible and restored and cleaned the site well. Best of all: the crawl space which had been wet has been dry as a bone even with the heavy rains we had this year!

It went great. No more water, it was done well and in a timely fashion. Highly recommended

Cracks were sealed. No more water leaking into the basement!

They did everything and more than I expected, I would recommend with no reservations.
