Basement Masters Waterproofing

This is not a normal review, since Basement Masters didn't actually work on our house. We called them because of moisture in our basement walls. They came out, and determined that the problems were of a different nature than what they do and required the services of a carpenter to fix a faulty deck. They very easily could have sold us on a bunch of work that wouldn't have solved the issue, but instead gave us an honest assessment. They are honest, ethical, and won't take advantage of you. That was truly refreshing, and shows the kind of people they are. Call them!

Window was installed correctly with no issues passing inspection. The job took two days however I had to have other contractors handle the electrical, drywall and finish carpentry. It’s best to have the egress window installed before drywall and finish trim. In our case the walls were finished before starting the egress window.

It was excellent, professional, excellent customer service, all been fixed, all areas were clean, quick response when you make a phone call.

I'm long overdue for posting this review as we had the work done over a year ago. We hired Basement Masters Waterproofing to excavate our 60 year old town home and redo the waterproofing. We chose them because they came highly recommended by neighbors, and all of the fabulous reviews online. We were given an estimate of the work, and an option to install a sump pump if we wanted. Our unit is the end unit, so they had to excavate both the front and side of the unit. It was all hand digging, and we were impressed with how quickly and efficiently the crew excavated down to the foundation; they had to remove the Azalea bushes in the front of our home, and excavate around the base of a large Magnolia tree in our front yard with is very close to the foundation. The lawn in front of our home was protected with a tarp, and the crew did an excellent job of keeping the site looking good and roping it off for safety. The work was completed on time, and for exactly what the estimate said it would be. Before the work was performed, our basement walls always felt damp, and the walls were covered in calcium deposits (yellowish crystalline deposits). Now, our basement is warm and dry! We couldn’t be happier with how the job came out. Thanks Basement Masters!

Very pleased. Had to move all my shrubs to seal outside and install pump. Replanted everything beautifully and it all survived.

Perfectly. When reached out for service, I got a prompt appointment for a site visit. The estimator arrived as promised, did a thorough reviw and provided a detailed estimate within a few days. The work was performed and and when promised the crew was courteous and professional and worked cleanly and efficiently. All COVID precautions were taken. The repair has perform well in recent heavy rains. Overall, communication was great, every promise was kept and the seems first rate. Thank you Basement Masters.

This is an A+ company. Knowledgeable people, engaging and polite employees, quality work. Circumstances put me in a very tight schedule bind regarding the sale of and closure on my house. Employees at multiple levels of the company worked to get what I needed done on a rush basis. What would have taken six to eight weeks under normal operating procedures was wrapped up in under two weeks. Exceptional performance by a small company that fosters excellence all around. Not only would I not hesitate to use them again, I wouldn't really consider anyone else.

Perfectly! Randall and staff were extremely patient with us while we made up our minds several times over! Everyone was highly professional and competent from receptionist to install staff. Communication excellent on ALL fronts. I can not recommend highly enough and reasonable price too. I have actually never had such a great experience with a contractor in my 35+ years as a homeowner.

Prior to our discussion, they requested pictures of the work needed in order to assess the damage. Shortly thereafter, I got a call about the work. Although the company does not do wrought iron repairs, I got some excellent information about the work needed and advice on how to cost-effectively proceed with the job. In addition, they outlined a "do it yourself" repair to filling the hole which will be much more cheaper than hiring the job out and said to call back if a more extensive solution was needed. I am very grateful for the honest assessment and guidance! The information they provided was excellent and likely to save a lot of $$! Should any work be needed, I will be sure to call them again!

Workers came to do the job the day after we signed the contract because of an ongoing slow leak into our finished basement. They performed the work neatly, efficiently and quickly and even installed a popup drain for the downspout, which had not been included in the original estimate, at no extra cost. Months later, the basement remains dry and the dehumidifier no longer must run constantly.

The team at Basement Masters gave me a fair assessment of my basement issue without trying to sell me on an expensive solution. Their team worked quickly and my basement is completely dry. Thank you!

I waited until after 3 BIG rains with a totally dry basement to post my review. Our basement was wet 365, 24/7. Basement Masters Waterproofing gave us a useable basement for the first time. Pictures show before and 3 after. They were professional, courteous and accommodating. We felt so confident in the company that we had them do our job while we were on vacation. 100% Trustworthy! Finally, they not only did the job making our basement 100% dependably dry, but outbid all the other companies for the same system. *Could not get BEFORE and AFTER pictures to attach, but we can now store food in our basement!*

Job well done, quickly at a very fair price. I was very pleased with everyone I had the pleasure of speaking to and working at my house. I Highly recommend their service.

2/6/2020 I was so happy to find this company. I had called several other companies, a couple had a $5000 minimum without even coming out to see the one crack we had. They were also not especially friendly on the phone. Then I called a company named JES who sent the rudest man I have ever had come to my house. His name was Howard and he did not want to speak to me alone, he kept asking me to get my husband home to talk to him too. I own this home in my name only and am perfectly capable of making decisions about work to be done. We have a 2nd home in the country which is in my husband's name only. We have been happily married for almost 27 years and that is how we like it. What century is that rude man living in that he thinks a woman can't own a home on her own or make decisions?! Anyway, finally I called Basement Masters Waterproofing and wow, what a difference. First off, the young lady who answered the phone, Christen, was absolutely the nicest and most polite person! She makes you want to use her company just by being so pleasant. Then a very nice, polite manager named Shairf Omar came out and he was respectful, did not ask for my husband, ha ha, just told me what needed to be done. He said he would get back to me with an estimate. When he did it seemed reasonable so I told him yes, please do the job. His crew came out and they were all very nice people, smiled, pleasant, just great. I believe the man who did the inside work was named Omar, the epoxy work, and he was super! The owner even stopped by and he was a real gentleman, seemed like a very classy man who was very concerned with his crew doing a great job, which they did. I would recommend everyone skip calling the other companies and just call Basement Masters Waterproofing. Don't bother with those companies who are inflexible and have a $5000 minimum without even seeing the one crack. Or companies like JES who send a rude man out who wants to sketch the whole house trying to find more problems to make more money and think women can't own a home on their own. Call Basement Masters for honest and fair treatment, and nice people from the young lady who answers their phone, Christen, the gentleman who came out to give an estimate, Sharif, his crew, the owner, all top notch!

It was very good. They were very timely and respectful. The estimate was what they charged, they did not put up the charge.

It was excellent. They did a great job. The owner was responsive, came out right away and gave quote right away. He worked well with my schedule.

BMW was one of the most honest companies to work with regarding water drainage issues. They not only provided the best quote of all the contractors I compared, their work was done well and our basement has been dry ever since. Their work was also done very cleanly -they covered everything in the basement before starting work and made sure everything was left clean after finishing. I would highly recommend BMW. My only small quip is that response times and timing can be a little slow. But they are a busy company and get a lot of business, so I could see why.

Our new egress window looks great! It has not had any leaks yet! The workers were very nice and were professional. The communication and billing aspects were slow, but overall everything went as planned. Thank you!

During the crazy heavy rains of Spring 2018, my below grade fireplace facia was leaking water! After several misdiagnosis from "professionals" (including contractors and fireplace professionals and water proofing companies), Basement Masters was one of the few that identified the problem accurately and provided the solution that made sense to me, even though it was more expensive than the interior home trench option most offered. They listened to the problem. I did get some alternative quotes for an exterior dig and water proofing once I understood what the problem really was. Basement Masters had a competitive price. But what really sold me was the down to earth approach the owner took on this project. They were very fair with me when I needed some additional work during the job and didn't take advantage of price gouging. They are a small shop so communication sometimes took longer than you'd hope, but it was during the crazy rain season where everyone's basements were leaking. Lastly, I had to manage this project remotely and had them work with my tenant, and they were nothing but professional throughout the process.

Once we finally were on the schedule, the service was awesome. They did what they said they would, were careful with the work. We've had no water issues since the work was completed. So happy with them. I would hire them again!

Very satisfied, Randall was very knowledgeable and the guys completed the job much quicker than I expected. One year later, no more basement leaks after rain or snow.
